Arsenal Thread

The story of our campaign at Ashburton Grove. We completly dominate the game but fail to score enough. We must have had about 70% possesion and about 55% of that in their half, apart from the goal, I dont even think the had a shot on goal.

We played brillant football but lacked in front of goal. We need to be scoring first in these type of games otherwise the opposition just play the usual 5-6-0 formation. Henry was peripheral, but apart from that i can honestly say everyone else gave 100% it just wasn't gonna be our day in front of goal. We're still in there with Chelsea and ManU.

Off to Kabuki-cho then, naughty boy?

You picked a good time of year to go if it's early May as it's cherry blossom season and everyone is partying, although Tokyo blossoms might be finished by then.
The latest fashion is very short shorts with thigh length hold up stockings... and you should see what the girls are wearing

Whats happened in here, its a bit quiet!

I am hopeful that we can win tonight which would put 1 foot in the knockout stages.

We need revenge on CSKA after that "goal" was disallowed in the away game. Lets hope its a different ref!

Other news: Djourou has signed a new 6 year contract. Cracking stuff, I have high hopes for him I think he can become a real star for us.

Djourou signs new deal

No its all a load of bollocks. The News of the World reporter put it in his match report and now everyone thinks it happened.

I sit in the East Lower and I swear on my life I didn't hear any booing at all. Henry had a bad a game and there we a few moans but NO booing!

Well there was chants against Henry with them chanting 'shoot' shoot'. Henry even came out and said' the fans are basically getting sucked into what the media says(thats what I said here aswell) and mentioned some stupidness about being ready to die before having to play direct football.

The arsenal fans should be careful about how they treat Henry. Surely they understand that Henry is all that separates them from being just another team.

Shouting "shoot" "shoot" is not booing! Its encouragement! In fact the fans shouting "shoot" were earlier on in the season, they have died off now as the team seem to be overplaying it less now.

I love the way you think you know it all. How do you think we treat Thierry? The guy is a god to us and gets treated very well, even he would say that.

As for being just another team without him, didn't we win 1-0 at your place when he was absent? Or did I dream that? These 1 man team jibes are boring mate, change the record.

I knew you would bring up the old trafford affair. Everytime a little criticism comes by and you fail to handle it, you have to resort to bringing up the old trafford victory as if it alone, completed everything you needed to do in the season. If you end up trophyless once again, I won't be suprised if the old trafford victory is cherished for all its worth.

Its not a criticism though its just bollox. Proper criticism I can handle but saying we are a 1 man team is under estimating the role others play in our side. I don't need to name names cos if you knew your football you would know who I am talking about.

If we are just "another team" without Henry, surely the same surfices for Man Utd and Rooney?? There you go, its a ridiculous argument to be pursuing.

Anyway I am off to the match now....byeee!

yeah, alucard. stop being a bag of douche.

and you're only so bitter about the old trafford win because you were all like "without henry and van persie you're going to get your blood sucked!! lol\/z"
and you were very wrong.

Incredible!!!you should have scored at least 3or4 goals!!!
fabregas, rosicky   Let's hope you could score during the second half

unbelieveable.. really really unbelieveable..

how did we not atleast score one?

if we are to take anything positive from this, though.. we did almost completely dominate the game. the passing(for the most part) was second to none.

lets hope for some killer instinct against west ham.

You guys just better be careful as you may not qualify. Hopefully you will. I would like to see all four english teams make it into and past the knockout stages.

Well I reckon you can defintley pick up a home win against Hamburg. Porto away will defintely be tricky. I didn't see the game tonigh but heard Arsenal had a load of chances. If that is the case then at least you can take out positives and see that they are at least creating lots of opportunities in front of goal, and is more a thing of bad luck.

don`t watch it let it pass

Whatever happens against Hamburg we will need something against Porto. Would anyone like to tell me how Rosicky and Fabregas missed those chances??

Akinfeev looks a class keeper though, Arsene you listening?

This is worrying.

No i wouldn't say its worrying, cause all season with been playing brilliant football and dominating games.

Our problem this season has been scoring goals, we've created loads of chances both home and away but have not converted them. Last night we created enough clear cut chances to win our next two games, we should of easily won 4,5 or 6 nil.

Defensively we were awesome and in midfield too like we've been all season.
*Fabregas and Toure men of the match for me.

how can we be worried about that game! we were just unlucky. The only way I would be worried is if teams played like we have against us and made us look like chumps.

We had an off day in front of goal - thats it. We should have won but thats football. We always make it harder for ourselves for some reason.

The football we played was amazing, we shredded them to pieces. Just needed better finishing.

But we do have game in hand which if we won would only put us 2 points behind you and Chelsea and us in third.

7 points now I'm afraid (if you win your game in hand). Unlucky today lads :D

Well, Premiership campaign over for another year for Arsenal and Wenger showed at the end of the match what a pathetic loser he is.
