Everytime I see your avatar I just crack up. But thanks for pointing that out, we were 8 points clear last season but Man United did have a game in hand, and people seem to forget that. With Vieira injured and Campbell suspended it really de-stablised our team, I think with both of them playing all the games in the run in (at full fitness) we would have won the double for the second successive season. Who you callin' a wanker Nicky?!

Alex Ferguson for his shit tactics meaning we have no competition for the title.

Yeah yeah. I googled moving avatars and that was one of the links.

To be honest Milan don't look that strong in the Champions League this season. Haven't they only scored 4 goals and conceded just 2 in the 7 games they've played?

yes but we are still winning the games we need to. We're at the same place as last season right now, 0-0 tie at Ajax, then a 3-2 win at san siro during knockout phase.

Oh yeah I remember that game, didn't Inzaghi loft the ball over the goalkeeper to score then John Dahl Tommasson nick it off him just before it crossed the line? I'd be well pissed off if he did that to me. When did this turn into an AC Milan Thread anyway?

i really doubt arsenal will slip-up this time, and i really want to know what it feels like to win something. with my club i have never experienced this..and probably never will :(

don't say that man ... Newcastle is a good side....they may yet come good for you. err...that depends on how old you are...how many time you can wait for some trophies... ;)

Great win today .. i almost pissed myself in the dying moments. I guess I worry a lot but Arsenal's ability to defend waves of attack over a period of time has got me worried when we come up against top class attack teams in the CL.

We have to stop conceding man ..damnit!!

One reprieve though, we counter-attack like nobodies tomorrow!! That ability may yet save us when we are desperate.

Just back from Highbury and what a tense last few minutes at the end! I nearly crapped myself when Johansson hit the post with an overhead kick outside the penalty area! Earlier before that they had a free header in the 6 yard box when Lehmann didn't catch a cross from the right, Arsenal really know how to put their fans in it. Arsenal were simply awesome for the first 20 minutes they played some of their best football of the season, and two goals up in the first 4 minutes was a dream start, I kept pinching myself to weather this was actually happening. Charlton scored a brilliant curling freekick that hit the lefthand post and rebounded in, Lehmann was left stranded. The last few minutes Charlton were pumping the ball forward time after time flooding our area, Toure and Campbell did brilliantly hounding them out, but we held out in the end and have gone 9 points clear proud at the top! We finished to a snow storm at Highbury in freezing temperatures but the match totally made up for it and with the fulham score starting to filter through, Highbury was in party mood. CMON ARSENAL!!

This is starting to get ridiculous, no defeat yet, as a liverpool fan, i have to rate the gooners, but I find it hard to believe that they are light years ahead of the rest of the premiership.

Ah well at least does rat b@@@@@@d mancs reign of terror is over

Arsenal wot can i say fukin awesome i hold ma hands up!

Good to see that FIFA have now decided that the FA Cup is more important than their poxy centenary match. Blatter has now said that the strongest teams do not have to be fielded meaning the top French and Brazil players wont have to play in the game organised for 48 hours before the Fa Cup Final.

Thought some of you might be interested in that. Great thing to be a part of and for a great cause too. Although I'm a bit too young to remember it myself, though I have a video of it right next to my TV - often used for rencacting the moment when Mickey Thomas scored, like I didn't know it was going to happen :l . I'm sure my father and grandad will contribute something.

Same here happened a few years before I was in to my footy. Fever pitch is a good film though and thats about the 88-89 season.

So did the Predator video game. Pathetic attempt. Such a horrible experience after a very good movie.

May 26th 1989, "It's up for grabs now!" this night still ranks up there as my greatest Arsenal moment ever witnessed. Before the game, we had to go to the "fortress" Anfield and win by two clear goals against all the odds, everybody was writing us of saying it's another title win for Liverpool. Still a young gooner, here was my chance to see Arsenal win the title for the very first time. 90 minutes were already on the clock, Arsenal was 1 nil up, it wasn't enough, we needed to win by two clear goals to win the title. Arsenal desperately knocked a final long ball up front and Mickey Thomas went clear through into the area, he deliciously flicked it pass Grobberlar in the very last minute of the whole entire season to clinch the title! GET IN THERE! I went absolutely berserk celebrating hardcore, I couldn't believe we done it, we done the impossible and won the title at Anfield! I couldn't sleep for the next few days because I was on such a high thinking about the game, I've never been so happy for Arsenal in my entire life. Seeing Mickey Thomas score the winner and doing 50 rolly pollys in a fit of excitement still gives me goose bumps to this day. The most dramatic finish to a league title ever witnessed and one I will never forget.

ABSOLUTE FUCKING MAGIC!!!!!!
Fever Pitch was a great film cos it gave us younger gooners the chance to relive that fantastic moment, I was only 3 years old at the time, but it's definately my best ever moment in Arsenal's history, even though I didn't see it live (if that makes any sense).
