Is the blue one a third kit cause we only just got a new away kit.

I heard the yellow kit will be third choice next season and the blue kit will take over as first away kit.

The previous season's away kit only lasted one season too.

We are the Man Utd of the noughties, winning all the time and changing our kit every year.

What do you lot think about the back of the home shirt being white where the names go?

I saw those pictures some time ago and was thinking the same thing. The kits have grown on me but that section hasn't. The circular numbers too, aren't to my fancy, but that's not a problem with the Arsenal shirt because we have that lovely O2 logo. Not to keen on the traditional yellow/blue kit being put as third kit choice either - I was really fond of it. Well, nothing's official.

Well just look at Christiano Ronaldo's shirt above, that's what it's gonna look like.

I've been away all yesterday and most of today on a camping trip and I've just seen the game. Amazing. Really amazing. Everyone palyed so well and Toure scored - which is always great. The reaction of the Pompey fans to the Arsenal and their own players was nothing short of admirable actually. They were raising the roof, even when their team was down by 5 goals and at the end they applauded the arsenal players - probably appreciating their quality of play even if they were on th elosing side. All this too after that 'diving' incident with Pires in the league at Highbury. Most teams' supporters would probably still hold a grudge over that - let alone booing players for getting injured (Villa). Again, very nice to see and all the best to them in staying up.

I'm sure if Pires played he would have got a few boo's though.

Without a doubt he would have been given a rough ride. We still have to back there yet though. Don't think he can duck out a second time.

I don't think the back of the shirt where the names go will be white, look at the portugal home top, it's red and it hasn't got green where the names are at. Arsenal have always used straight standard premiership style fonts for domestic and champions league games and I don't think it will change next season either. I've only seen Man Utd use the Nike stylised fonts in CL games. I would be very suprised if they changed it now.

Yeah but if you look at the inside of the new Arsenal shirt at the top it's white, and at the bottom it's red, so it looks like it is white on the back and that means the lettering might have to be curved, cos players names that are long won't fit.

Yeah you could be right, but not everything on the inside is necessarily on the outside. Considering there's a lot of time between the official release of these kits, usually mid august, there still could be minor chances to the design.

As for the design itself I quite like the badge in the middle, it reminds me of the kit in the 93/94 season when Arsenal won the Cup Winners Cup.

Or in the 92/93 season when we won the FA Cup and the Coca Cola Cup!
If you look at the new Nike shirts in the new kits thread you'll see that the shirts with different coloured backs are also the same colour as the back on the inside.

Well noticed, the current home top is red inside as well as out, so white inside would mean it having that bold white background behind the players names. But it's strange how some teams have it and some don't like both of the new barca kits don't have it. The Arsenal blue kit doesn't have it either. There's still time to change the design or else we'll have to get used to curvy letters for our names, unless they'll still make it straight but looking ridiculous.

I really do hope they change it. If they do I'll be well chuffed cos it's a nice shirt other than that.

Man Utd in the semi!!!!!!

Bring em on, I think we're more than capable of turning them over. I've just said in the Man U thread will the nationwide tem in the final get the UEFA cup place?

Man U then twice in 8 days.

Revenge for 1999 then... bring it on. I will be sweet to finish their league season off on 28th March, then finish their season off completely on 4th April.

Villa park too boys, hope that brings back good memories for you.

Not really but remeber your treble winning season contained an FA cup semi-final there, who's to say we can't have one.

I must say that's the draw I wanted, I would much rather play Man United in the semi's than in the Final. Can you imagine getting to the Final against Man United and then somehow losing?
This way is better cos you know the winner of this game has a really good chance of winning the Final.

It's looking more likely that the semi will be held at the millennium stadium, our happy hunting ground. :D

It all depends if the FA can get ManUtd to agree to it.

Nah i dont think it should be played at the millenium stadium. I see no reason for it. Villa park is good enough - leave the millenium stadium for the final, keep the shine and special feeling about the place.
