I wondered how long it would be before a scouser reminded us? How long since your last title though mate?

MMM, I wouldn't be that confident mate. We are on 12 you are on 18. We have won it 3 times since you last one and we are up there challenging consistantly.

A league title for you looks a very, very long way off at the moment.

The main problem is the kids aged 7-13, they all want to support ManU and then will end up with a huge generation of southern Mancs like the mid twenty year olds who support the scouse.

I blame the parents, my dad wouldn't ever let me support anyone but Arsenal, if he did my uncles wouldn't!!!!!!!!

No I wasn't getting arsey with you mate, its just you needed to be told the truth. I love the Arsenal so when someone disses them I have to put them straight.

To say we are not your rivals though is just ridiculous.

We call them "day trippers" alot of southern supporters have been following us for generations though so it cant be labeled at all of them.

LOL my dad was a blue, so we're his brothers, but my mums side are all reds and they took me to a game first and quickly indoctrinated me in the ways, if football was more like it is today my dad probley woud've took me to a game first and I probley wouldve been a biiter bue (shudders).

But I dont see that as dissin you's though, fair enough im not gonna know the history of your club and im not doubting that you's have been successful ( I did say that biggest didnt have to mean best) but our standing in European football has spanned more than just one decade/era and the only club that rival us for that are lfc, the clubs and supporters and city's have a history, as do yourselves and spurtz.

It doesnt mean we dont rate you's, you'd be hard pushed to find a true United supporter that doesnt appreciate the style of football that the arsenal now play, its just that we dont hate you the way we do leeds, city and liverpool, there will be an element of your club that still harbours spurtz as being the old enemy and resent the younger generation lessoning the rivalry just because they (spurtz) are no longer challenging for silverware, and it will be the same for the younger United supporters but the 25+ group of us know who the enemy is :twisted:

You heard any rumours on who Arsenal may go for in the Janaury sales? I reckon Mr Wenger needs another 'quality' centre back and a 'recognised' striker!

PSV's Hofland is in talks with all the major clubs in England it seems but last summer he reiterated his love for Arsenal, so who knows. If he does move though, I think he'll come to Highbury in the summer. Just as well.

Strikers? I heard a rumour about Henrik Larsson making a move, but I think the chances of AW signing some unknown play from a foreign club are more likely. Imagine, though for a moment, if he did move. Him and Pires could start doing their rendition of the Klinsmann dive celebration. Arsenal-stylee.

Fergie is an admirer of Larsson aswell, still an outside chance of us going for him.

I know what you mean though but as a few members on here have pointed out to me is that while the spl maybe piss-piss-poor his international record is impressive.

I think he would do ok, especially as he's proved it in Europe. Larsson was absolutely amazing in last years UEFA Cup final against a very good Porto side. At least he would work hard, unlike Wiltord.

Hofland - I heard on radio reports that he has went off the boil in the last couple of seasons and he isn't at the top of his game.

As for Larsson he doesn't have to prove himself at all, he's scored at the very highest level for club and country. Although I'll be surprised if he goes to England, as he and his family want to relax in a warmer climate and it would most probably be in France or Spain.

He scores quite a bit in the champs league though.

Trust me he couldn't cut it. The game is too quick and tough for him. Yes he scores goals in the CL but that is a different style of football.

Viduka would be a better signing for us.
