AND?

If you don't win it it doesn't matter when you get knocked out.

Also success isn't based on one competition you ignoranus.

Fair play Vann. Yes we are the only team to go unbeaten in PREM history but you could argue we are the only team to unbeaten in English top flight history. Preston did go unbeaten sometime in the 1880's but they only played 12 games, surely you can't compare that with the modern era where we play 38 games?

Whatever happens in future and whatever way you look at it, our record will never be beaten.

I wasnt sure so I just put PREM...

We'll have a crack at that record one day!!

Well according to Sulph it is so.....

We'll be running round Chelsea with our titles hanging out, singing "We've got 11 more than you.."

To be fair no london team has been close to winning it so your two semi final appearences are hardly setting the world alight.

Look at the seedings that tells you who's who in Europe, you we're second seed team as champions, that puts you in the same bracket as feckin rangers!

All im saying is that you havent even reached the UCL semis.

Im not saying we have a better history than you, as we clearly dont, but we will :)

Well you better be patient as it'll be at least 11 years before you beat our league tally.

I have to get this off my chest:

I hate Chelsea! they won the league and league cup last year.....Not even the FA cup but the league cup. Yet they have the biggest heads in the world. I hope with all my heart that they win F*** all this year just to see their faces.

We went unbeaten for a season, won the double a few times etc etc but we never had the attitude Chelsea have at the moment...its pure arrogance.

I can't believe they think they are so much better than us, we should have had a draw against Chelsea, but because they won (with a very Jammy goal) the papers have been saying that they are better than us and are going to win everything blah blah blah.

To all Chelsea fans take heed:

I won a cheese plant once in a raffle but I didn't get all cocky and say I was going to win all the other prizes in every raffle I entered since then. It was luck, like how lucky you were to beat wigan and arsenal. So have some humility, and respect the other teams around you.

Be excited about your team and optimistic, but being arrogant little pricks makes everyone hate you. The way you are in the transfer market and the attitude that you will win everything, belittles the great game of football. I for one hope it all goes horribly wrong.

What could go wrong :p

And as for your accusations of undeserved results, i can think of many that have happened to you!!

Arsenal to become the most profitable club in the country?

According to this article the new stadium revenue will increase our profits to aroung the 65-70 million mark. I think that's a fantastic piece of work by the board considering we have never had the biggest financial clout.

This is good stuff but there is a flip side. These figures are based on us selling out every game each season, like we do now.

The normal priced seats are gonna be sold no probs, but what about club level? These seats are over priced at £2500 for the cheapest (per season)! I have no doubt that these will sell out for the first couple of seasons but what about after that when the novelty value of the new stadium has worn off?? I really feel we are going to struggle to sell these in future, remember there are 7,000 of these seats in the stadium!

That's a good point although i'm sure if they priced them just above the top selling normal seats they would still sell well.

I can see them becoming part of the hospitality package per game after a while rather than being a season long venture. If you sell them at say £140 per game and throw in a meal and drinks companies would go for it.

I think the reasoning behind selling them as season tickets was to get a nice lump sum up front early on to decrease the loans we needed.

You could well be right, my only concern is for when we play the likes of Wigan, Sunderland, West Brom etc. No disrespect to them but can you see all the seats going for £140 each against this sort of opposition?? I can't and this is where the plan could fall dowm. Remember the £2500 per season seats are the cheapest, I think they go up to £4500 per season!! How much would these be on a game by game basis? £250? Its stupid money.

Well this season the Mezzanine package is as follows:

Pre-match
Bucks Fizz/Red reception*
4 course meal served with wine and minerals on your own private table*
Pre-match entertainment including guest speaker/s and/or ex-player/s
Commemorative gift
Matchday programme
The Match
Match seats in the West Upper stand**
Post-Match (stand up environment)
Competition to win a signed AFC-item
Post-match buffet
Complimentary wine, beer and minerals

This costs £350 for the lowest bracket games and £500 for the Chelsea and Man Utd games. As far as i'm aware we've never had a problem selling these tickets at this price.

The cheapest package offered is the marquee and that gets you:

Your Marquee experience will include:

Pre-match 3 course buffet, on shared tables of 10 in the Marquee (South Stand)
Pre & post-match complimentary wine, beer and minerals
Guest Speaker
Match tickets next to the wing block in the North Bank Lower Tier
Commemorative gift and matchday programme
Competition to win a signed AFC-item

Price

Final FAPL Game £350 + VAT pp
Grade A+ £350 + VAT pp
Grade A £300 + VAT pp
Grade B £250 + VAT pp

Hopefully Emirates can start flogging them to visiting business men as well and flogging these expensive seats wont be too difficult (he says fingers crossed).

I see what you are saying Nicky mate, but at present how many of these tickets do you think are avaibale on a match by match basis? If I had to guess I would say somewhere between 500-1000. In the new stadium club level holds 7,000. What you also have to remember is that the Mezzanine packages (or equivalent) will be available in the new stadium from the off so these are in addition to the 7,000 club level seats.

I am not saying that we won't sell a shed load of these but 7,000? I am not so sure. Time will tell!!!

Fair do's, it's up to corporate marketing machine at Arsenal to make it work. Actually you would hope they have already made some kind of arrangments.

Sebastian Viera failed a medical as they found a cyst on his hip. He's had it for ages, but Arsenal were taking no chances. Villarreal have snapped him up tho', and we've got.... Mart Poom.

I think Poom is a great keeper and will provide great cover for Jens. I think Man Utd were rumoured to be after him a few years back.

Sulph said:
Poom? Are you guys serious.

Mart poom is a very good keeper but has been troubled with injuries. I'm sure he would have passed a very tough medical (seeing as Viera didn't) and I think he will be great cover.
