Is it just me or did Gilberto look completely destroyed in the last few minutes before he came off? He looked wrecked tired and dehydrated in the minutes leading up to when he was subbed.

Ok, you could read this next one in any way you want, but its in regards to Paul. I'd really love to slap that Dickov.

Reyes is a fantastic prospect and IMHO arsenal should push to keep him, you have to remember that he's from a small village in spain and settling into london can be difficult even if your from another big city so IMO its abit harsh to question the lads loyalty which is a contradictory term when talking football anyway.

But if was talking re: ashley cole then it'd be a different story....
I see what you're saying but what if he never settles in? You're better off selling him sooner rather than later cuz his value might drop. We all know Real Madrid want him right now so if he is sold, Arsenal could make enough money to buy another great striker, or even a good goalkeeper.

yeah I agree cash in IF he wants out, I dont think he probley knows what to do, it could even be his family applying pressure cos they wanna go back to Spain, who knows.

There is a very good chance that Real will again come in for Paddy Viera who (after some 1st class diving AGAIN this weekend) could look to exit highbury after a pretty poor season as captain as his team again failed to hold on to the championship.

If they do I cant see them buying paddy and reyes....

Took me a minute to work out who JAR was. Whats wrong with calling him Reyes?
JAR=John Arne Riise? Sorry, I've only got eyes for Liverpool...

The Vieira to Real rumour surfaces when the journo's in Fleet Street get bored. It must be the easiest rumour to make up if your editors on your back without a story.

Totally agree with you on Vieira, he has had a poor season by his standards. If Real come in again, then we should sell. After this summer, his value will drop.

As for his diving, its was NOT as bad as Ronaldo when he went through early on. That was shocking.

Yeah PLEASE can the diving issue be dropped, its really really boring now. ALL TEAMS HAVE PLAYERS WHO DIVE. Unfortunatley its part of the game and im sure everyone on this board is guilty at some point of chastising the opposition when they take a suspect tumble, but then sport a cheeky grin when they see their own player collapse dramatically to earn a spotkick. So leave it please.

Cash in on Vieria IMO. He's been a great servant and a good captain but I reckon the Goon has had his best years. Arsenal will have to re-structure if he does shift (Henry for captain?) but I reckon the cash will ease that task. In the mean time maybe Arse should play Diamond with Ljungberg at the front tip behind the strikers, Gilbert infront of the defenders, Bob P/JAR on the left and Fabulous on the right. I always play that in Champ Man and im top of the league. It must work!

I would give captaincy to Sol. I don't think forwards make good captains.

You are right about Freddie though, thats where he plays for Sweden and would do a good job. My only worry there is the lack of width if FAB plays right. What about Pires right and Reyes left. Gibert in front of back four. Fab isn't going to play every game but when he does he could play behind front two?

Its time for Paddy to go. IMO his mind has been elsewhere this season, is it in Madrid?

Quite possibly....

Freddie has always been an OMF in my opinion, most of his goals come from his darting runs into the box, not from the wide right where I think he's wasted a bit.

I thought Fabulous did really well on the right vs Blackburn, he's not a winger but his distribution is so good he can basically play anywhere in the middle of the park. He's also more defensive than Fred so might be able to help the team pass its way out of trouble if and when. I personally think its best to have one attacking wide player and the other more distributive, ala Giggs and Beckham @ Man Utd mid-late 90's.

FAB could play more inside right rather than wide right. Let Pires and Reyes do the speedy winger work.

Oh yeah and Sol would prob be a good cap, but he's a bit injury prone!

Henry has matured so much in the last coupla years and has replaced Vieria as our talismanic player. Plus he plays every game!

Yeah maybe but I don't want the captaincy to effect his game.

On another subject, we will be wearing red and white in the Cup Final. Thank god for that, really didn't want to wear blue, its just not an Arsenal colour.

Damn straight, not feelin a blue Arsenal kit. Looks like an old Wimbledon kit or something, awful.

We should wear the yellow/blue of the 1979 final vs Man Yoo. Sacred away kit....

ronaldo's a shit bag thought, Vieira likes to think of himself as a hard man.

remember his dive against the scousers, i think diddy hamman pulled out of tackle and vieira went down as though snipered, he then pleaded for the ref not to send him off

or the incident at highbury, rooney again pulled out of a tackle and vieira went down feigning injury....

I think we could go on all night about divers in each others teams, it would get boring. Like I said before, I admitted Paddy dived which is more than could be said for you. Ronaldo's was just as blatant.

thats why I said he's a shitbag, cos he dived...

difference with the two is that hard man paddy rolled around on the floor feigning injury, ronaldo just got up and whinged...

Milan are also intesrested in him, have been since he was at United. If he joined Milan, his kids would be going to my school.

any of the big clubs would be interested, he creates that many goals and scores a few....

Sorry i beg to differ... we have all the shirt sales from Henry and company, so Beckham and his circus is not wanted.

His last game against Barcelona, he was immense, but one game in a season doesn't mean we should have him. He was piss poor at the Euro's and i still think Gerrard should be England captain.

He was CLASS at United providing pin point crosses for Van Horsterooy and Yorkie to smash in - but that was then. Also, Arsenal's game relies on pace - which Beckham lacks*.

I'd prefer Ballack. 18months left on his Bayern contract.

* if anyone mentions Cygan, i'll kill 'em. :D:D

If we had Beckham we may score a few more headers and from a corner from time to time!!

Seriously though, I agree. I don't think he would fit in at Arsenal and into our style of football.

Ahhhh entertaining match.
Could of won it but we probably didnt deseve to.
Good performances by Senderos and Gilberto. But Reyes looks a bit of of sorts.
