Seeing as how you haven't beaten us in a competitive game in over a year and we've beaten you without players like Ruud, Rooney, Saha, Smith, Rio, Heinze, we'll feel more than confident to beat you.
Arsenal will be facing a team thats stronger than the one that has already beaten them so why would we be shitting it?

Well I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to be 14 points adrift of our main title rivals in October, which is what you will be if we win.

So you beat us once in 3 competitive games last season, whoopee do!! Well done for winning the FA Cup. Anyway back to the present, United dare not lose this one as you will be miles behind. If you were playing well then 14 points may just be do-able to claw back, but you are not playing well at all. 9 goals in 9 games?? WTF??

I have said all along that it was in midfield that you needed investment, then Fergie goes and spends £20+ million in attack. Face it mate, its win or bust for United on sunday.

I agree that we've gotta win to stay in contention, but win or lose I reckon we'll get 2nd anyway. But even is we lose 14 points in october isnt as bad as 14 points in march/april and tbh arsenal have yet to play any contenders, games against us (h/a) chelsea (h/a) lfc (h/a) newcastle (h/a) thats 8 games 24 points so I reckon there is still alot that could happen.

But you's are obvious favourites this year, no question.

Im not worried about our goal scoring, weve consistently been the best scorers in the league for years and hold the record for most goals etc, it will come in time, anyway we've bagged 8 in two games in europe compared to arsenals 2 (and one of them was an own goal) so it cant be that bad.
 
Here come the Arsenal-Man United arguments right on schedule! For fuck sake, Arsenal are playing better football, and scoring more in the Premiership so far this season, simple as that. However, we look more menacing in the Champions League. As for this Sunday, let the best team win . . . .
 
Its true, the form book goes out the window. So Man Utd's poor form wont mean shit but if we play our best I cant see MU being able to stop us. <evil laugh>

i can't see you guys finishing on top of chelsea this season. and everyone chats about how we haven't played any decent teams, but even so we comfortably beat(most of) the 'weaker' teams that we play. united and chelsea have struggled against weaker teams, the only tough game that they played was against each other.
 
had a scare in a plane once.. turbulance maybe? who knows. he play all away games within driving distance if hes picked.

Its such a shame. Bergkamp is one of my favourite players of all time and he can't play the away ties. What would happen if you somehow (I know this must be extremely hard to picture) made it to the European Cup final thats held somewhere like Spain, would he still not come?
 
I asked Bergkamp this once when i bumped into him in Hampstead. Apparently, he is just shit scared of turbulence and the thought of crashing. He then finds that he cannot relax whilst playing as all he is thinking of is the flight back!! Therefore, his whole "game" is disrupted by this constant fear. He now gets his father-in-law to drive him around the continent in a S class. Good Deal! :D haha!

He then promptly left to have a shmoke and a pancake!
 
I agree with Ninjabreakz.

Even as an Arsenal supporter, I get pretty sick of hearing the same crap being thrown around everytime Arsenal come to play United. Grow up.

If I get a good match with both teams playing some good football, I'm just as happy for United to win (although I'd rather they didn't :)). I think that Arsenal should at least come away undefeated (a draw is probably the most likely result), but you never know what to expect when these two sides meet. Even though Arsenal are in great form at the moment (domestically anyway), United are a dangerous team to write-off.

P.S. I heard Bergkamp is afraid to fly because he had a close call when he was at Ajax. Apparently the team flew out for a match and their plane crashed; the only reason Bergkamp is still around is because he was injured and not fit to travel. Don't know if this is true, but it seems to be a better reason for missing big away fixtures than a little turbulence.
 
It's afear of flying, plain and simple, in the end. Dixon said a couple of years ago that he also had a traumatic plane trip prior to the WC in 1994.

Concerning the 'mind games' Ferguson is fundamentally just playing with himself -since he's not getting anything from th Arsenal camp - are borderline desperate.
 
We really missed Vieira tonight, you could see the big gap that he would've filled. No too disappointed about the result, more so about the performance, but if we can take advantage of our home games were safely through.

Henry's celebration was hilarious, I dont know how he does it.
 
Agree totally... missed both ball winners in the middle - Vieira and Gilbert Grape. Cesc was okay, but some of those pana tackles were hardcore. We should have won easy, but we got that motherfucker david hasselfoff wannabe in goal. He's the only signing i'm still wondering about. Wenger needs to shift this deadwood. He's a liability!
 
I thought we played poorly, so to get a draw was a good result IMO. We missed Paddy, I feel all our central midfield players link well together apart from Cesc and Edu, maybe both are to attack minded, neither one was dropping off. If Gilbert or Paddy were there the other midfielder (Edu\Cesc) would be able to push up more.

I have defended Lehmann to the hilt since he joined, but he let us down last night big time. Why didn't he just head the ball out for the first? Had he stayed on his line for the 2nd it would have been an easy save. His errors are becoming more and more frequent so I feel that Arsene must make this position his number one priority for a replacement.
 
Lets hope Lehmann has the wrong gloves on again this weekend at old Trafford. \\:D/
 
I think Lehmann really is the weak link. He's too keen on being a showman, he seems to have some sort of howler in a fair few away games in the CL - I remember he had a big fuck-up in a game in Kiev last year, he was prancing around on the half-way line with the ball and got tackled.

Its a sign of your strength in the league that his inability doesnt seem to matter, but really I think you need to sign a better keeper. He doesnt seem to deal with crosses that well, and like I say, he rushes out of the area way too early. I suppose he's ok at shot stopping, but you'd be better off with someone like Given or Abbodanzieri.
