I thought Arsenal were great yesterday but i felt Boro contributed to that, apart from the goals of course! Boro couldn't hold the ball and their passing was shocking!! Every time Arsenal went forward they looked like scoring.

WHAT A BALL FROM HENRY FOR WILTORDS GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, Boro were awful - probably the worst performance I've seen yet this season (I haven't seen the Wolves games, so don't flame for that). They were practically giving the game to Arsenal, and the first goal was the keeper's fault - he should have pushed it out to corner or something.

It was a good day for Arsenal, they showed all the flair you could expect from them, but in all fairness, I don't think Arsenal will get many games as easy as this one.

Yeah agree with you there about Schwarzer - im convinced it was actually going wide, from i was sat (behind the goal), it looked wide. He had a bad game Schwarzer. Hey we can only pick up. If Arsenal play like that for the rest of the season (looking like scoring with every attack) it should be an interesting title race

GIO GOES ON A YEARS LOAN TO BARCA

Arsenal midfielder Giovanni van Bronckhorst has today joined Spanish club Barcelona FC on a season long loan.

Gio joined the Gunners in June 2001 from Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers, and marked his first season at the Club by collecting a Premier League winner's medal. Sadly, his involvement in the double-winning campaign was cut short in February 2002, after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury. However he returned to action nine months later, and was a member of the squad who retained the FA Cup this May.

Gio said this afternoon: "I've really enjoyed the last two years at Arsenal, me and my family feel very settled here. But what I need now is to play matches especially with the prospect of Holland competing in Euro 2004 at the end of the season. I'm really looking forward to joining up with Barcelona, I have great respect for them and the way they play and of course for the coach Frank Rijkaard. I'd like to wish everyone at Arsenal the best of luck for the season, which will hopefully see the Club win more trophies."

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Gio the greatest success for his time at Barcelona.

Well he never plays so it's no big loss.

Look forward to beating Villa shitless tomorrow!!

Yeah hopefully mate, but im sure it's going to be a tough game especially if they play like they did against Liverpool.

Yup well done troops on another fantastic victory against a very tough Villa side. It's great to see Big Sol getting on the score sheet especially after all the bad luck he's had. Next up Man City away, should be a fantastic game of football.

Anyway.....

TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!!!

Loz, Loz, Loz............we really feel sorry for having to watch Tottenham struggle year in year out, while were winning trophies year in year out.

dont worry bout it zico mate, tbh i'm suprised ya can get a picture on ya tv in the highlands, technology eh? ;)

i cant wait for the first N london derby, we'll batter ya!!!

Arsenal Champions League Group B:

Arsenal
Inter Milan
Dynamo Kiev
Locamotive Moscow

We got a tough group.

So we've been drawn against Inter, Lokamotiv Moscow and Dynamo Kiev. Really we should win this group easily. :)

Discuss..........

doubt it zico,a trip to the san siro is gonna be tough.add that with trips to kiev and moscow.........you lot are in a lot of trouble.........

Na, im sure we'll win this group quite easily actually, Inter aint the team they used to be and there's unrest in the camp, so overall we've nothing to fear.

We really shouldn't have a problem with this group, think of what Kiev and Moscow are thinking, it is a tough group for them to go to London and Milan. We have to turn up the heat in Europe this year and the task that this group puts before a team of our quality should be minimal.

I've been thinking of buying myself an Inter shirt lately. This draw has pretty much made my decision for me now! :D

Seriously I think Arsenal should make it out of that group, they should win all 3 at home and at least one win on the road and that should be enough. Arsenal are playing some great football so far this season and with Henry they can beat anyone. I think Arsenal will be the strongest of the British teams this year.

Yup agree with that FS, i really have confidence that we can lift the European Cup this time. I can't see Man Utd getting far, especially with Beckham not being there to rescue them with his free-kicks at crucial times when there behind.

Kiev arent the big force they were, you should get 6 points off them, Loko shouldnt be too much trouble at home, away they could be a bit trickier. Last season you went to Rome and got a win, so you should at least get 2-3 points off them.

All in all its not the easiest group but there are more difficult ones and you should get thru.

Arsenal have come up with an ingenious scheme to cut down on the amount of moaning and complaining at the club. They have a installed a “moaning tin” in the dressing room with a charge of 50p every time a moan is uttered.

Manager Arsene Wenger says “It’s a horrible tin, it’s an awful colour, and they’ve put it in the wrong place, …why do they do this?”.

Patrick Vieira added “They all hate us…all of them”.
