The Reyes penalty claim was just a much, if not more a penalty than the Giggs one, the keeper made no contact with the ball and took Reyes' foot as well.

Metallica, you're thinking of an earlier incident. Later on, Carroll did indeed wipe out Reyes. At least it evened itself out anyway. Oh, and while i'm here, can anyone explain to me why there is always a woman screaming everytime an opposition team gets near the penalty area at Highbury?

Yeah I've noticed that as well actually, for quite a few years now, maybe it's some superstitious women who has to do that as a ritual for every game.

they talked to that woman on soccer am!!! got her on the phone. she has a season ticket so sits in the same seat all the time (near a microphone i assume). makes me jump sometimes!

Hehe, they always make me nervous.

Did nobody notice Campbell touched Giggs outside the penalty area?

Yep. Can't beleive Demento is going on about that. And I've watched it over and over again and seems more and more that Giggs fell over his own feet.

I think Nicky mentioned something about how we sometimes bring on defensive players during the dying moments of matches. I don't like that either, especially, when on of them (Cygan) isn't back doing his job of covering which, incidentally, led to the pass for the goal.

I think if United had scored the equaliser earlier, there wouldn't have been as much disappointment between Arsenal fans but the fact that they left it late kind of takes away from the fact that we've managed a new record of 30 unbeaten games on the trot since the season began. Remarkable stuff.

Any one read the story about the bust-up between Lauren and Henry in the tunnel after the match?

I'm not making much of it right now but Henry was really peeved that Lauren missed that shot near the end. Either that of he was angry at himself for missing the free header from the rebound. It looked more of the former though. Most of you probably saw Lauren with his arm around Henry talking to him at the end of the game and I thought that's where the situation ended. Maybe not?

If Henry could head a ball he wouldnt have to stamp his feet like a spoilt child, Sets up next sats game brilliantly now, definate penny for giggs , ref was shocking, i wonder if campbell will miss another friendly this week?

I can't believe the number of people that didn't see the alleged foul was outside the box. Astounding. And Sol wasn't picked in the squad.

Sven is worried he wont make Euro 2004 cause he isn't getting enough rest. I think he would rather let his groin have a rest than play him for 45 mins in a nothing friendly meaning we could be without him in Portugal. There's a few players he hasn't picked including Lamaprd. It's a chance for a few more players to have a go at making the euro 2004 squad.

Theres also the period where we play on sat 10th against Liverpool, Monday 12th against Newcastle and Friday 16th against Leeds. Thats 3 games in 6 days.

well blow me but I blame Toure for that equaliser, if you watch it carefully everyone thinks he has it cleared, in fact lehmann just stands still as he sees toure come running across only for him to miss the ball completley and lets saha put it in.

He should have cleared that ball!

Also if we are being Harsh two people at fault, Clichy and Cygan, neither of them marked Solks, he should not have been free to cross on the right at any time.

Having said that I felt Arsenal played well, and bloody hell did you see that Clichy run from the back??? He ran thru nearly all of the team!

As for Lauren I felt he had a decent game, some good strong challenges and kept Giggsy on his toes, BUT the truth is he should have passed to Henry :(

I also felt Henry maybe could have chested the deflection from the tame shot lauren took instead of heading it???

Anyways Like I said a while back a draw is fine for us thier was no need to win, is it 12 points required now to secure the title????

I think if Kolo had touched the ball when it came across he may have put it in his own goal, and I'd rather Saha scored a late equaliser for them than Kolo knocking it in his own goal, can you imagine what that could've done to his confidence?
Also, Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira have withdrawn from the France squad to play Holland in midweek, but Kolo might play for the Ivory Coast against Tunisia! I bloody hope not though!

Fell over his own feet... are you blind?

It doesn't matter Csaunders. It wasn't a penalty anyway.

Toure should have cleared it surely. Gooner2005: That's a risk you should always take.

Maybe, but it looked more likely that he would've scored an own goal rather than clear it with the pace the ball was coming in and his position in front of the goal.

I noticed that at the end, and I saw him pointing towards the tunnel, supposedly he's saying he told Lauren they would discuss it in the dressing room but old Va-va-voom glory hunter had other intentions I think and is trying to cover up that he spat the dummy for not receiving a pass, the guy had to shoot as I didn't even notice him in a position until he squibbed his header.

Thierry has since said that they didn't lay a hand on each other and said it's just the Man United players trying to play dirty tricks, and I believe him, he's not that sort of person and he'd never throw a punch at one of his team mates!

They would say that. As I watched them and saw Henry pointing it looked to me like he was set for a 'square-go' as we say up here. Wenger was supposedly late for interviews too.

Old Trafford, and there was a flying boot Vannizzle, Beckham had the scars to prove it!
