Stop feckin whinging about the tackles even Nigel Winterbourne said that the tackling was hard but not dirty..

Get over yaselves FFS!!!

Funny that at highbury the other week people we're holding up pictures of Keown jumping all over Ruud like it was okay when even Keown himself says he's embarrased about what he did, but when a player of yours is tackled you all start moaning and whinging...

Oh well at least all The Treble talk can stop now, no matter how much ABU's and the london press big you's up saturday showed your a million miles away from The 99' Treble team...

For starters, who's this Winterbourne bloke your going on about? Seems like he's a cross between Nigel Winterburn and Ozzy Osbourne, which scares the shit out of me. Secondly, Keown's jump on Van Nistelrooy wasn't a foul because it was after the final whistle and it didn't cause any injury to him either, Where as Scholes' reckless challenge was a disgrace, and although it look's like Reyes will be ok, the challenge could have caused serious damage. Lastly, it's only been the press that has talked about Arsenal winning the treble, and although you did it in 99', luck played a huge part in that, just look at the Champions League final, and now you say that we're a million miles away from your treble winning side, I bet you that our current team at there best would beat your 99' team at there best. You're just a typical spoilt Man United fan who stay's quiet when things aren't going for you and when they do, you shout your mouth off, it just show's how far Man United have fallen this season, because your getting all excited about knocking us out of the FA Cup despite being 12 points behind us in the League. Tell me this, if you had a choice between winning the FA Cup and the Premiership at the start of the season, which one would you have chosen? I think we both know the answer to that anyway. So why don't you stop with your boasting, and think about the fact that you might not even finish second this season, let alone first.

I just won the Champions league package on Arsenal.com for the game 2moro. Champions club and tickets for the game here I come!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicky, you are the luckiest bastard I've ever seen! how many more competitions are you gonna win?!

I didn't win the last one but I have to admit i'm on one hell of a lucky streak at the minute!!!!! Lets just hope my luck is in the Highbury air 2moro!!!!!

Touch wood. (cue Nicky to touch the nearest piece of wood).

You dirty, dirty boy. I think you've been downloading too much porn on KaZaA if you ask me. Shame on you Nicky.

That's harsh. If you knew anything, you'd know that Vann is nothing like a "typical spoilt Man United fan". He's old enough to remember the times when United were nothing of the European force they are today. If anyones a spoilt United fan, it's someone like me who's always been used to seeing them at the top. Also, as far as I know, Vann is a regular match-goer so is always there through the tough times. I mean, there isnt really much to shout your mouth about when your teams getting tanked at home to Boro is there?

Yeah, since when did Vann say he'd prefer the FA Cup to the Premiership? It's good to see a true fan getting excited over his team getting to an FA cup final when he's had loads of cocky Arsenal fans like you on his teams back all year. Now grow the hell up.

I do have to agree with Hutch, Vann from what i've witnessed on these forums seems like an OK bloke. He is never arrogant and usually sees things from both sides.

I've never said anything about our position in the League to Man United fans or boasted about it. But when he said what he did earlier, he hit a nerve and I had to retaliate. (Cue Hutch back tracking all 580 of my posts to try and prove me wrong.) ;)

When your team starts to gain some success, it's inevitable that you'll get good press when you're doing well and at the first hint of failiure they'll be writing you off. That's exactly what's happened with Arsenal.

I remember a few weeks, actually, no, a few days ago, before the United loss, that I could go on Newsnow and be flooded with admiration stories on Arsenal. Even the people that cricitcised us all through last season and the early part of this were praising us. I even saw something positive from Smitho himself. But look at us now - we're out of a major domestic cup after succumbing to our biggest rival after Spurs; we've been hit with injuries and there are fitness doubts about many of our key players going into the most hectic of schedules. Suddenly, you'd be hard-pressed not to find a piece of media predicting failiure on both remaining title fronts; criticising Wenger's tactical know-how etc.

Any true Arsenal fan knows all the above and take everything the media says with a pinch of salt. The Treble was always an elusive dream and no real Arsenal fan definitely saw us winning it. United were amazing defensively in the semi-final and probably deserved the win after we didn't take our chances. Now they'll go on and win the Cup. Too bad for us. I still wholeheartedly agree with what I said earlier however - some of the tackles on the day were horrendous.

Congrats, btw, Nicky. :) Raise the fucking roof tomorrow night. Make it known that we're not still dwelling on Satruday's defeat and instead looking forward to a possible semi-final berth with Real. ;)

yeah well said mate, anways !!! who said we are dwelling on the bad tackles I was merely replying to a post by another person, I dont get much time on these forums sometimes and my replys can bea few days old!!!

And also with todays standard of teams I dont see many teams doing doubles and trebles easily anymore, even my own team(arsenal) or any other, in fact anyone really positioned well to do such a thing in the future right now would have to be someone like chelsea who have(potentially) right now got probably two teams worth of players, no real injury worries for them anymore, and a team who could easily deal with heavy fixture lists, end of the day I still feel as though the fixtures twisted Wengers hand and hence the weaker team that played in the FA cup..

I admit man utd were well ahead of the pack when they did their treble but now I dont see any 'one' team ruling the roost, like Man utd did and Liverpool in the 80's, it just wont happen now with the standard of the top three clubs, next year anyone of them could win it, I dont even think Arsenal could repeat what they just did this season either, things like that dont happen often at all.

Moving on to the CL Im shitting my pants, read lots of crap about how Chelski are due a break from all the losing to us!!! I gonna need a fair few pints to keep myself calm tommrow and I know for a fact im gonna be a nervous wreck when tommorows games on !

Freddy and Reyes might be okay tommorow albeit most likely overdosed on painkillers or something, but what you think the starting front line will be??? Henry and Bergy???

Can't wait for tonight, hopefully we can finally make that elusive CL semi and shut up some of the doubters.

The result Saturday in hindsight is probably the best that could have happened. Hopefully this will make us realise that things can be taken away from us and we must be focused from now until the end of the season. One game at a time.

I will be there tonight, gonna sing so loud and get behind the lads.

Come on you reds!!

For once as said above i'm gonna be there, it's the biggest game i've ever got to see but as my dad said it's the one of the clubs biggest games ever.

Too be honest Nicky this is the joint biggest game I have ever been to (equal with the Valencia home leg in 2001) and I can't wait. The carrot of a semi final with Real is just mouth watering but I am trying not to think about that.

Hopefully we can scrape through tonight, its gonna be tight and tense, I am finishing work late so I guess it will be beer on the train for me as I won't have enough time to go to the pub.

Thats the advantage of working in London, i'll leave work at 5:30 and be there for 6;00. Get in the sponsors lounge and drink em dry, hopefully that'll settle me down a bit!

I envy you lot. Watching it on telly with hoardes of screamers isn't all that bad though, I suppose.

Anight at Highbury celebrating a semi-final against Monaco

I can't see us playing Monaco but you never know. I would expect Madrid to score so Monaco would need 3.

I can't concentrate this morning, I have loads to do but my mind keeps wandering about tonight!!
