@Anth James is there any chance or idea how to test the latest GP like some kind of demo version with 1-3 Hours testing?
I really dont know if i "like" the GP.
I know when its my taste of GP i would pay for it but i want not pay for something i had not tested, you know what i mean?

What an amazing experience I had with Anth James' Realistic Gameplay Mod - V17 default Version. I only tried the Referee addon on top. It plays smooth, it plays immersive, it plays dynamically.
It make me record this Video. A long one, Guys... But it shows in a long term the whole beauty of v.17 without any breaks. No need to watch the whole 16 min. but decide yourself. Oh, btw. don´t put the blame on me after you laughed me out while I am ridiculous missed my first penalty chance after months. I just forgot how to shoot penatlties in that game.
Anyway, the gp felt very smooth related to animations, the Players act and move even more like real ones. The ball roll speed is on the tin imo. I had really fun playing this 2x5 minutes - World Class Level - default Sliders - normal Game speed. If someone still hesitate to try out the mod this Gameplay could be your entry at all @SmichiW :))
It´s always a matter of taste related to speed, animations, Tackling behaviour, Positioning on the Pitch of both Team Players etc. So I just can speak for myself and I hadn´t expect another great step from v.16 which I also love. But the little changes doing the trick again with v.17. The ball freedom, the space to create an attack plan, looking for the next hole in the AI defense are fantastic.

Not forgot to mention the huge addon mods which Anth provides. I guess it took a whole weekend to check out every possible addon combo. I didn´t count the options in the mod, but at least a dozen. Cook and bake your individual Playstyle related to Game speed, animations, Positioning, goalkeepers, Referees and much more.

14 fouls in this V17 match - spread pretty well across both teams.
What are you in game settings in terms of minutes per half etc? I typically play 6 - 8 minutes depending on sliders etc which version of this mod are you using as I know there's different speeds, thanks in advance. Everything apart from fouls is great for me so be handy to know the exact version for this screenshot :)
 
Just played three matches and saw a total of 3 fouls in 3 games. In this game I was hemmed in most of the game but I have 4 injuries and 4 players on international duty so playing a very week team. That said I still had enough of the ball that I'd expect the AI to foul more. I did see you were using v17.

Are you sure you’ve installed the mod correctly? Did you use all of the recommended settings in the read me files? Normal in game speed, default sliders etc?
 
Tried v17 tonight the first time. 😊

Really fun after 2 matches… 👏 even on WC. one thing I wish I could change is the passing distance though. I’m missing short slow lay off passes… like half a meter or a meter. Even with the tiniest input the ball moves too far for my liking. I tried lowering user power bar but that doesn’t do the trick.
is there any additional option to implement so I can have shorter ground passes?

i do like the tackles from behind now! Sometimes resulting in awkward yellows given… but I guess that’s a small price to pay.

Edit: wish we could get rid of the double tap sprint button resulting in a 15 meter dash… even the CPU has problems with it. It’s putting the ball way to far ahead! edit in an edit: 😂 maybe it was just first touch errors putting the ball ahead so much… need to play more.

edit2: also the cpu turn and shoot, like mentioned above, is really a no go, imo.

edit3: some of my passes not reaching the intended recipient due to being to long/powerful… I do play full manual only and those short passes are important for my style of play.

overall I like the physicality! The normal v17 might be a tad to fast for me but I couldn’t ignore Anth advice to try it. 😊

Use this if you want to have default ground pass distances. This is a good option if you're finding it difficult to play short passes to the correct target.

Yeah, I saw the turn and shot example above but also had it in my second match happening by Köln… Bayern went down 0:1 so I was pissed. 😂 not really. 😉

Small feedback: I tried normal version of V17 and like the overall speed. It’s not as fast as I thought. Plus triggering more animations… physicality is sooo good mate. 💪
 
Look at what the CPU AI did to me. Doku just skinned me. I have never seen so much player individuality, team individuality, match variety ever. This makes every match, every player, every situation unique different.

So good to hear man! V16.5 yeah? I've got a video uploading of a full match with this version - loving it.
 
Full match of V16.5 here (bonus version in the 'Full Gameplay Package'). Really loving this version at the moment - it's tough though! Some nice CPU moments and behaviour on display.

The only savior to FIFA/FC is when people like @Paul-v, @Anth James and @Matt10 gets hired and they build a true offline experience switch like @Chris Davies mentioned. I have visited EA Canada office the people that works on FIFA and 99% of them have no interest in football. Most of them plays Fortnite or Call of duty with some playing Rocket League.

It’s not wanted by EA! There will never be an official savior! It’s just us, the community, and some very talented and passionate people, making our vision happen the best possible way, with the tools and software at hand.
I won’t wait for stuff that will never come but instead enjoy whats given in the present.

Waaaaaaaa…. 🥳

It’s so good… it works like a charm, man. I’m finally able to do close quarter passes (cqp) 😂 … and it’s such a nice edition to have that. It makes me able to play those full manual short passes in tight spaces. Just lovely.
And it also makes more sense to use R2 + X (driven ground pass) in certain situations now for longer distances and/or faster passes. There are more distinguishable passing options now, so I can only recommend to all of you to try this combo.
Regular V17 plus default ground passes. I love it!! 🥰 thanks man.

Also: been away for 2-3 weeks and I see the regular walking speed is back. At least in your recommended default version. 👍

Haven’t changed the burst stuff yet.. will need to play more and see… but good to have it in the drawer waiting.

I just can’t express too much how this default ground pass option combined with your advices regular V17 feels so amazingly good to me! Unheard of… 🥳💪

Edit: The before mentioned new physicality and the animations triggered a lovely at times. when you try to steal the ball from the opponent and he turns 180° around your lunging leg. 😍
The better dribbling mechanics play their part in those situations as well. 😍

To be honest, I have more hope when 2k releases his Version of a licensed FIFA, maybe in 2026 I have read?! But I didn´t read in depth Information because we can talk about in the future. Hopefully!
Well, if the mentioned Guys still willing to fix any future EA FC Game we are on the safe site. It´s just ugly to imagine always EA´s politic & strategy by throwing an Season update over to us and know they are have no foes to fear with that monopol in Football games. That´s why I really hope 2k delivers with his Football Vision in the future. I mean they are able to deliver a decent Game related to their experience with Basketball series by them.
