I just hope I can fix the 3d grass before it becomes completely impossible. Currently working on fifa 10 and 09.

The x360 era games are working pretty well actually. The ps4 era fifa games are being very stubborn though. I cannot increase the draw distance of 3d grass, it seems to have a particular cutoff point I can't surpass. And trying too much of a high value just crashes the games.
 
You’re probably hitting memory allocation limits. These games have built in protections to prevent memory overloads that would otherwise overload the system or GPU memory, since systems at that time couldn’t physically handle what you’re asking the game to do.

Will it decompile the code if I provide the assets or it will refuse to work? A lot of these mods rely on me having to upload the exe file of the game and sometimes some other asset file for the ai to inspect it and come up with a solution. If the ai rejects asset files that I myself provide, then it will be a huge issue. Let's see what happens.

Supposedly the way they hacked it was because a known memory overflow exploited Switch 1 game was also on Switch 2, which allowed code injection and the rest, as they say, is why Nintendo’s trousers are brown.
 
I feel like by recompiling current gen Nintendo games and Sony games, we are making a big mistake. This is why we're drawing attention of these big corpos which will force AI companies to restrict reverse engineering/ recompilations and modding. We should had stuck with recompiling older games for which the companies wouldn't care this much.

surely a matter of time before they push for further regulation on public use or much tighter guardrails. If there is a big government infrastructure hack using ai tools that are available to the public then that will speed it up even more
 
Before they take it all down, we need to make local backups of these AI models. Yeah they wont run quick or even run on potato local hardwares but for sake of preservation and future use.

Well, Anthropic’s model weights are worth $10 trillion apparently, so I don’t think you’ll be downloading those anytime soon, but there are local Qwen models which you can run on your own GPU.
