Er no I don't think so. Flair was good but not that great. His matches were dull and all very similar. the guys wrestling skills are way behind lots of wrestlers. Damn even when he put on the figure 4 leg lock he got that wrong! His selling was pathetic and made wrestling look silly. Jumbo Tsuruta, Misawa, Kawada and Kobashi are all way better than flair ever was and they have all had much better matches. Plus these 4 worked the tough All Japan schedule. Oh and you know what makes these guy different. They are actual pro-wrestlers and not sports entertainers.

Misawa vs Kawada 6/3/94 is better than any flair match and I mean any match! Nobody has had more 5 star matches than Mitsuharu Misawa, Misawa and Jumbo Tsuruta are way better than flair..

Probably the greatest match ever!

I respect everything Flair did to help the buisness grow - but i was sick to death of his floppy moobs on tv stinking up the show and taking tv time away from new exciting talent

ha ha, agreed!

Too many legends spend waaaaay too long in the spotlight blocking the young guys coming up. Terry Funk has retired more times then I've been killed on Counter-Strike.
 
I've become more of a fan of TNA recently - i know they have a lot of older guys - but they have more newer talent and they don't have the slower matches like the wwe and they don't have as many banned moves.
 
Watching tna sacrifice on bravo 2 - and they've been hyping up this 'Terro Dome' and it seems its not a dome like AAA have but a 6 sides of steel cage with a dome ceiling - hardly anything amazingly new
 
Just watching a bit of ECW because theres nothing else on (and there really does need to be nothing else on to watch ECW).

Sky Sports HD3, looks fantastic, WWE HD is very good quality.

I'd rather look at the blank screen of a turned off TV than watch any kind of wrestling, it's bad enough that it has a thread in "Other Sports Discussion", should be in entertainment.
 
hmmmm i really think that wrestling in general has suffered in recent times, even more so than the 93-95 period. Besides the rise of Edge and Orton, there has really been f all to cheer about and yes Bash-it, we need the attitude era back

The WWE sting tribute DVD is the only wrestling related medium i am actually looking forward to this year....december 08' cant wait
 
It's a good idea dvd wise but they're praising a TNA star! Surely they could wait a year for sting to leave TNA and then do it?

Although with the WWE advertising TNA events on the wwe wwebsite maybe they just don't see tna or anyone as competition enough to care about
