Who's your favourite ML Default?

Yeah I remember barota, I used to play him alongside noord who got replaced by Hamsun
 
Anyone remember Shimizu? I don't think he was a default but he popped up in ML. Also that massive German striker Schwarz. If you kept him and played him, he got to about 90 rated.

I dunno if they were just regens of actual players or were random regens?

That’s right, I seem to remember they were just fictionalised players who appeared as free agents? Shimizu was an absolute beast though.

I’m pretty sure Man Utd signed him in my PES5 ML and he ended up with some ridiculous overall stats.
 
I think Ximenes from early PES days (2000) , he was shit really but I brought him on and he scored a banger that got me promotion

I'd always make sure I had Shimizu even if it meant I couldn't buy anyone else.

He was so weak physically but when on form you could just run through teams because he was so skillfull.

Ah man, what memories, where did it all go wrong Konami 🙄

They were part of ML youth.
I liked Chapi and Gambino too.

On a lower level, I liked Juarez too. Very polyvalent player.
 
I can't believe I haven't seen/posted on this thread. The ML default players of the PES golden era is, like, my Mastermind subject.

If I had to play an ML XI to save my life:

Merosi

Valery
Vorlander
Jaric
Eddington

Cellini

Miranda
Pavia

De Silva
Baroja
Ximenes

Yeah, that's right, no Castello/Castolo. That striker spot is a tough one. Njord, Ordaz, Castello, Kittie and Lawson are all in the mix.

Vorlander holds a special place in my heart. A titan at the back and was good for a big goal from set pieces. He probably just edges out Cellini. Leader, warrior, was good for a goal as well as breaking up play.
 
Jaric was another big one for me. He had that Sinisa Mihajlovic flair of being a dead-ball specialist from centre back... The fictional youth players that came through too, the likes of Bos, Palmieri, Shimizu, Schwarz, Gambino, Rowland... Solimar between the sticks...
 
Loved starting a career with these guys and working my way up.

Really great memories, in comparision I now can't remember the last time I played a football game, October maybe.
