Cant wait to see some ingame skills, seen the roulette which looks alot faster :)

Not sure about the passing though, seems to be going a bit awry

I think this should have been the last year version on the 360. Which means it is one year behind my expectations for a next gen game, still it looks like a solid game of football with decent graphics and the well know pes flaws.

So is anyone else dissapointed with the grass in the ng4/game1 vid? The actual green/grass texture looks really nice (especially when they take a corner) however it has zero football pitch shading. Just seems to have a couple of dark patches here and there and looks a lot like the fifa night pitch (which was stupid).

It has a lot slower ,no player on Earth do it this skill that fast :mrgreen: . Sorry to say it but for this trick FIFA 08 seems spot on.
ps:The nutmeg move look very very class and also Owen's new passing animation while in the air (kinda like karate)

The pitch looks 10X better then the PES6 ones and i think you could also edit the pitch designs in PES2008.

I thought the nutmeg looked to much of an animation and not really real, but ive yet to see it ingame

I think the game looks great. I think the movement is much better.
You also have a larger scope to pass the ball rather than 8 directions.
Graphics look much sharper and the gameplay looks smooth ( I downloaded the movies to prevent lag during play )and I certainly do not agree about PS2-animations. The noise of the crowd has improved and the look of them also.
About the tactical part of the game: I haven't watched that too well and this part is hard to judge if you play multiplayer; that's more for play against the CPU.
Only minor point is the random-like dark spots on the pitch? Is the pitch wet? Ik like to see a pitch with the usual patterns. It will be in it, as we have read that you can choose the pitch in the edit-features.
So far it looks very positive :)

The gameplay looks too similar for my liking. They brag about the inclusion of many new animations but i only saw a though so far. The running, controlling the ball animations look identical really. Hard to judge the actual feel of the game without playing it but slightly disappointed so far

The player faces look insane though. Everyone goes mad about the nets but they do seem slightly better as well. Hoping to see more footage to judge for myself

The grass can be better scrutinized by someone who has played the game or when Gametrailers have HD videos.

To the people saying you can now pass in more than eight directions (please note, this is a genuine question and not sarcastic), can you tell me how you know this?

All i saw was ALOT of passes going to the offensive team, must take some getting used to

Just using the stick rather than the d-pad I guess...
You can know this by watching how the players run and how the ball goes...

Han, not how you do it, how you know it (from the video) - I can't see how people know from a video that the passing is now more than eight directions, it looks the same as PES6 to me. You press pass and it automatically goes to whatever player is in the vague direction you point to.

I think the grass looked excellent, texture nice, the dark bits just broke up the pitch from being one shade of green. I'm sure there will be more patterns to choose from.

To me it looks like you can pass into an area now, not just only to the player itself.

well, it seems that untucked shirts are definitely not in the game.

Dont you think that the kits need more creases in front? Players seem fat without loose shirts. They are all like Cassanos... XDDD

Wasn't it confirmed that you had more direction than before in this game?Still not 360° but I thought I heard that they added more direction than before
