Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/08/07)

Ok, first I've had this in my mind for a while now, Konami has the license for the JLeague teams, that is why they release a JLeague version every year, now I'm thinking, how come they don't include those teams in the normal version and that way we have more teams? I don't get it, it bothers me.

Anyway, I was thinking (again :P) and if the ML has 5 divisions 10 teams each, I say they drop 2 divisions and keep it nice and simple with 3 divisions at least for this version until they get more teams, 3 div is pretty good for me. With 5 divisions there is a total of 50 teams with 10 teams each div, if they drop 2 they have 20 teams left, so then the 3 divisions would be as follow:

Division 1: 18 teams

Division 2: 16 teams

Division 3: 16 teams

Total: 50 teams

This sounds pretty good to me, and with JLeague, and wutever other league they might add, we could probably even have 4 divisions, who knows, feel free to comment on my idea.

That's not bad but how many leagues would have this structure ?
The big problem is that at the moment we don't know the maximum number of teams in the ML or in the game .I just hope for a lot more than 20 free slots for teams ,more like 60 or 70 would be good

What is the use of proposing this? I don't think Konami will change his plans for this. It's also much too late for it.

Atm Konami have to decide between having realistic European qualifications, or have more divisions.
The only way to solve this would to have more teams and leagues added to the game.

No use, but is a discussion board rite? And instead of asking me that question you could've said something else. I'm just sharing my idea, I'm not waiting for Konami to read my post, I know they won't.

Han, do you know if in the 10-team leagues, you play each team 2 or 4 times per season? Also, any news on also having FA Cup during ML season involving all 40 teams?

I do find it strange that Konami would choose to have only 10 teams in each division. I wonder why they would do that and not have at least 16.

I heared from that contact that he only played about 6 matches in the master-league, so he was not that far to find out how many times you play each other in the league. In fact I even don't know if there is a seperate cup-competition. I hope there is, because then a 4 (5?) division structure makes sense. You then can make extra money when your shit-team plays a first division team. Already thought about that? ;)

2 Editors from one of the biggest and most reliable gamesides in Holland, insidegamer.nl, have played the xbox360beta. Here is the videolink:

http://www.insidegamer.nl/xbox360/proevolutionsoccer2008/videos/3892/?carrousel_id=1794

You can see them playing, but the aren't allowed too show the tv. You can actually hear some noices when the ball hits the bar etc. and sounds really good. After 4.40 mins you can see something of the game...

OK, thanks.

Yeah, I really like the concept they're building. It sounds too slimmed down in terms of number of teams, if it is indeed only 10 per division, but the principle of starting with a rubbish team, no money and a poor stadium, and trying to build the whole club up over the years is very appealing. A concurrent cup competition would add extra excitement with the prospect of giant-killing, extra money as you say, more fans come to watch, perhaps TV money if your next tie is televised...ok, now I'm getting ahead of myself...

It has the potential to have tremendous depth and is something that I, along with many others, have longed for from this series (or any series that also had decent on-pitch gameplay).

It seems they are not going to deliver the perfect ML all in one go, but at least they finally start to improve! For too many years, it looked like nothing was ever going to happen with it.

Once we have the official news, I might be able to finally alter that item in my signature.

Btw, at the end, the two editors aren't very happy with the code (bugs etc).

this has already been posted.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/08/07)

can someone translate what their saying about the game?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/08/07)

Translation to the vid:

They've got a preview code.. for xbox 360 beta version.
They were very happy to play it.

They say the field looks bigger. One is happy about it, the other person not really. Also they say Fifa is easier then PES,
But they say the shooting on goal is a bit easier. Overall they talk about points we've allready know.
At the end they are talking about 5 point not to buy pes
and 5 points for buying pes.

-Not: C. Ronaldo is on the cover (gay ..blabla)
-There is not enough changes than Pes 6
-Stadium/fans are boring
-Not enough Licences
-Pes is f*cking up your life

Buy:
-Xbox live cam you can put your on face in the game(proberly)
-Diving
-Best looking faces. Even Jaliens from AZ
-Eredivisie & Dutch national team is in it.
-Because we are all PES FANS NOT FIFA FANS

Don't really like this preview to be honest.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/08/07)

the moment Konami put J-League teams on the European version you will see reviewers and the public complaining that they are a waste of time and should of been replaced with european lower division sides.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/08/07)

What a crock of shit

Nice to see Lawro, I said they should have Motty and Lawro.

Who the hell is Jon Champion, does he commentate much on TV compared to who was on PES6?
