Come on, easy guess this time.

-------U can play the masterleague on line-------------

Which isn't a great addition since u have cheating both on line and off line....

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

If the stadium editor has an adboard editor, pitch editor and sideline atributes, it would be a surprise otherwise it won't.

That was one of the worst parts of PES6, I deliberately didn't buy them in the PES shop.

It's a shame the fantasista mode isn't included.
This big surprise can only be a disappointment surely.
I hope for a great new mode or some gameplay element, i don't really care about licenses because of this supposedly huge edit mode.
Even if it is the EPL license i won't care.

If your not gonna share it don't bloody mention it.

Come to think of it i never bought any of that weird stuff in WE Shop. Shark head, ostrich, penguin, dog head, watermelon etc. Does anyone actually use them?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

It's not JUST the textures though, it's the lighting, contrast and colour palette. It looks like a manga cartoon as someone pointed out above, no way in a million years are those next-gen graphics, I don't care what anyone says if you disagree you simply haven't seen next-gen games.

That's where you're wrong. You absolutely couldn't produce the same graphics as these on an Xbox, or a PS2. So they ARE next-generation. It's all about the art direction that Konami have decided to choose. JB got something spot on when he mentioned cultural differences, these are just the way the Japanese do things, it's their next-gen, even if it isn't realistic.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

My speculation is that we will get all the big club names licensed in the EPL, along with improved graphics and stadium editor.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

From the latest german preview:

"At first they wondered, what is different to PES6? After a while they (PES-veterans) did not want to put the controller down anymore. The small changes in gameplay lead to a much better and more realistic game."

I like this "objective" point of view. Like PES veterans are not biased,.......they don't put down the controller anyway.....

Among the things I wished i would be in for a new gamemode: like a fantasy football thing. Each player has a value, you are given x amounts of credits and you have to choose your squad (18-20). Then u go on line and play. If a player gets a red or injured you don't have it for few games.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

I just read the WENB with a preview from a german magazine mentioned in some post earlies.......

Defense more difficult (second player pressing less effective, pass anticipation more rewarding)

What more difficult??? it is already a nightmare to stop big players!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

Wheres that latest german preview ? any link ?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

PES Veterans and masters can identify changes a lot better than casual gamers.

Defense more difficult i assume means defense is better now.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

I think defense being more difficult, in terms of second player pressing, means you wont be able to hold the second player press button non-stop like you could in pes6. I found myself, and my opponents on line, rarely defending on their own, and much more often running their guy into a different position while letting the other player press. Part of this is because of clumsy defense controls (much easier to let computer press). Hopefully the controls will be better, so that we can defend better than the pressing player.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

If they couldn't even notice the difference from PES6 that is really, really bad news.

I don't doubt for a second what they have done for next-gen consoles would be replicable, technically at least, on an old-gen console. My point is even though the graphics are technically next-gen they certainly do not APPEAR next-gen, far from it in fact. It is a combination of not just cultural differences, but in my opinion Konami's lack of ability to build a realistic visual experience.

The new TeamVision will let you defend better. It makes sure for all AI. ;)
