Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

I honestly cant see Konami putting in a realistic league structure for PS3 while leaving it out for 360/PC. makes no sense at all and to be honest I think Konami would actually confirm this.

Han and Stringer could you try and find out if we are getting a genuine career mode or is it just real league structure like the J-League game has? are we getting the a proper Champions League format? how about domestic cups?
First of all, the game has NOT finished yet, They still build on in the whole game and in particular in the ML. So far it is not sure if it is 4 or 5 divisions. But you start rockbottom with a few cash ( euro's or dollars, option ). You have to build up your stadium with it ( Chairs (own colour to choose ), pitch-types, goaltypes with different nets, dug-out types and capacity ). As you have just a few cash, you can only start with a shitty stadium until you get more money because of archievements. You also might get better sponsors.
So the game asks you to be a good manager. That's roughly how it will be.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

they make the core for pc, and then they port it to the consoles, the games will be the same, with only graphical differences.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

I have a few bits and pieces to say related to the stuff that's coming out at the moment, as I had a chat with my contact earlier this evening, but A) a lot of it is being said already and B) because of someone on this forum who originally came out with this "news" (i.e. someone who's a piss-taker - no offence - and was previously making jokes about his NDAs and his contacts talking to him about various leagues being fully licensed), there's a few people not knowing who to trust, so I'll post what I've learned either midnightish, if this place has calmed down, or tomorrow morning around 10am.

Thank you Han. You made my day :)

The transition to next-gen hardware finally brings forth an evolutionary boost to the game :D.

No UK pounds. That is so typical of Konami, it's an utter disgrace and I certainly won't be buying the game. They finally get off their asses and improve the ML and they can't even bother to put the best currency in the game.

Onlllly joking, lol.

P.S - Winston looks like you might be able to scrub one of your list.

best piece of information heard so far, better than the teaser video and about licensed teams and photo realistic faces, this will give the master league longevity it was missing. oh also about that thing you said ''4 or 5 divisions'' is this in your league like where you can get promoted through or like before were it is just computer controlled league like if your in spanish the other leagues are english , italian etc or is it actual divisions. to Han , thanks for the information han and stringer bell.

True, it seems that only the ends of hair move, not the whole hair, and the sweat stains might not be true at all, so I will remove these when it is confirmed.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

Still we don't know about the league structure, is it going to be the same as before with a couple of tacked on divisions with teams like PES United and random Scandinavian teams. I still can't believe they've completely re-vamped it with realistic league structures and lower league clubs.

so you wont be able to start as Man Utd, Barcelona, Real Madrid etc right? also when starting at the bottom with a lower league club are you saying you can only stay at this club or do you get offers from better clubs?

You start in the 5th division and you have to go all the way: promoting to the 4th, the 3rd etc. to the first division... get it? ;) At least that's how I was told it :)

@ Kobashi, you can choose those teams, but you get shitty attributes for your players. I am not sure if the names will be the same then... My contact did not play the ML that far to know that he get offers from other clubs, sorry, don't know.

[-( c'mon people, spill the beans.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

thanks Han , that's what i thought but it felt like too good to be true , was wanting this for a long time, i usually play master league for the most 4 seasons and then restart with a default team and only buy newcomers or something like this to make it harder as it was too easy to buy players and earn points and the figures were not realistic so a crap club could afford to buy good plaayers were in real life there is a massive gap between top team , medium teams etc even in first division there is like 5 different levels wealth that clubs have in real life.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

nice, i am the opposite of jeffrey, im glad the field is bigger

One of the crew members, Jeffrey, thought it was a bad case that the playing field seemed ‘bigger’ than on previous versions of PES. The gameplay seemed slower as a result of the bigger field.

Let me just say this, you have a choice, but you would rather pick a small club like, HFC Haarlem! :)

You can fix it to change the camera-view, but for me it's great things go slower. Ever played PES after watching a real match? It was too high a pace...

@ Stringer Bell, HFC Haarlem is not in the game I guess :D

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

i though no betas had master league thats what adonis was saying , so is this just information or have they played it, also when did they receive the beta.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

Okay, this is ridiculous. Can the people taking Stringer's word as gospel please read THIS, THIS, THIS and THIS. No offence Stringer, you know I think you're a good guy, but not everyone has sarcasm detectors.

I can tell you now though that Han knows what he is talking about.

I'm saying nothing else until people calm down...

The people who received a Xbox 360 beta cannot play the ML; Those who got the PS3 beta can :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

Han, bedankt voor het melden van dit geweldige nieuws over de master-league!! Klinkt erg goed allemaal...

(in short: Han thank's)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

don't you need a PS3 debug unit to play betas?

LOL :D
So the amount of divisions is not the same as from my source :)
Depends how much leagues they get finished at the deadline I guess.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

bloody hell! you guys have gone crazy! Im gonna have to stay away from this forum for a while, so many NDA's broken its untrue!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/06/07)

Debug unit is not a unit; it's some sort of encrypted DVD
