The African club of the century is Egyptian. (Al-Ahly)
The 2nd African club of the century is Egyptian. (Al-Zamalek)
The only team that won the African Cup of Nations 5 times is EGYPT. (record number - title holders)
The only team to qualify twice to the Club World Cup is Egyptian. (Al-Ahly)
The two teams holding the record for times winning the African Champions League are Egyptian. (Al-Ahly, Al-Zamalek - 5 times)

Almost every Egyptian owns a copy of WE.

And yet:

Egypt isn't in PES2008.... and 'other' teams with no achievements whatsoever are in. Great.

On a different notion, I edited the screenshot with new adboards and grass.... looks really neat :) Maybe someone could do the boots...

I haven't trawled through the post's so if i'm repeating please forgive me..I just got Playstaion mag,in it i read this..Cover star Cristiano Ronaldo looks so lifelike when gliding past defenders that you'll boo at the screen as though the world cup was still on.Particular after te busts one of his patented swan-dives.In addition to this,the ridiculous number of editing tools-want to recreate your new £178 NikeT747Zoom Swoosh Gatorbreakers?Go right ahead-mean you can spend hours creating Hull City's youth squad,should you so please...:applause:

This is so lazy and typical of Konami. There's no reason why the likes of Senegal, Morocco and Algeria couldn't be in the next game given the most of the players are registered at European clubs.

They also could have put in the Copa America teams such as Bolivia and Venezuela.

I didn't say they were... I was just saying that there's three nations who are lovers of football (and football games), and Konami give them nothing to celebrate.

words cannot describe how bad rooney's face looks.

And I can't imagine how the other faces that Konami thought weren't "good enough" to be shown would look like.

Anyone thought Brazilian and Argentinian leagues should be licensed? Personally i think they should be. If Konami can't do EPL then i can only guess Brazilian and Argentinian leagues arent costly. Imagine the football crazed people in both nations playing their licensed leagues too. Imagine the number of skillful and talented youngsters we can add to our ML teams. Tbh, i'm not sure how the people at Konami think anymore. I'm better off watching Prison Break, atleast Scofield is a genius who happens to use his brain to full capacity. Are you listening Konami?

...Hi there...Does anyone knows if adidas boots will be in PES 2008 ???? In some screenshots there is Kaka but he got edited white shoes and everybody knows that the brazilian player is sponsorised by Adidas...Apart that I heard to say that J-League WE 2007 C.C. has not got licensed adidas boots...this is too strange because ADIDAS and WE/PES relationship is eternal...What is going to happen this year ????

I don't know about Addidas but rebook boots will be in. Plus on all these beta shots, no one has proper boots.

The formation screen is practically the same as it has been for years except for the set play settings option. Nice to see they are really trying to improve the tactical side of the game.

I've looked at the list of national teams and I too find it strange that Egypt isn't in pes 2008. In pes 4, Egypt was there, en then in the next versions it was suddenly gone. I mean, what's so hard to keep a team in your game? Just add and remove a couple of players and your done.

If a team is licenced then you get the kit maker on the kit automatically, just as with every PES game before.

Doesn't mean Nike and Puma are licenced/sponsoring the game.
