You and me should make an "Analog for PES" club or something. :)

For me it is the complete opposite. I love WE9:LE and PES5. PES4 was awesome aswell back when I played it (compared to PES5 it doesn't hold up though). But PES6/WEPES2007 was a complete letdown for me, the more I played it, the more I hated it. :)

I agree with you ,PES5 was the most balanced between attack and defense ,PES6 in that prospect was just so crap

I like how the TV is dusted down for the second picture. Does PES2008 come with a free duster?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Fake pics but I must honestly say that it looks quiete impressive ,what a shame that most of these ideas won't be included in PES 2008

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Weren't those pics confirmed as fakes already ?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

it says pes7 on the graphic this game is called pes 2008 the world over apparently.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

About the features, well I don't know if Konami would be arsed to add them.Four division in the ML is just a fantasy,Konami have the game but they're so so lazy .They waist time on adding little useless stuff and do not focus on what's important. Those features seems so simple to think of that you can be almost sure that Konami won't think about them

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

i said it before, and im gonna says it again
PS3 is nothing shown yet,or known yet, this is all 360/PC
There is only 1 thing i do know is thats Winning eleven 11 wil get a 'special version' on PS3,and information about that wil be out after jwe2007cc (02-08-2007) is rlsed.

Of course there will be something special about Winning Eleven 11 but seriously do you honestly expect it to have brilliant ML setup compared to the shitty one we already have and what we will probably get on PES2008?

Do you really expect there to be a huge difference compared to the 360/PC versions?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Are you kidding me guys? These pics are like 2 months old. Check the first 10 pages in this thread, I think they are in there.

I take bets now that we will see the frame-rate going down causing slowdowns. It was confirmed that all versions were the same. Even if it was "only" the X360 version played, PS3 is having big problem with slowdown and I said it before, slowdowns were NEVER fixed when the appeared in a preview version of any game.

I´m not moaning about the game at all. I´m going to buy it anyway and have a great time with it. And if the slowdowns appear with full crowd only only at corners - OK. Not the way it should be.

To all people complaining about so many things. Can anyone name a better football game? We are complaining on a very high level here.

Can I disagree with you? No-one is being hyper-critical, that would be, for example, moaning about the fact Mascherano is the same size as Kaka in the beta screenshots.

What is causing such discontent is firstly the realisation that Konami are once again going to refuse to listen to what the fans really want and instead focus on implementing superficial additions like diving and sweat stains, secondly that whilst the graphics look good now they are still way, way off what you might consider as "true next-gen" and finally that we will be expected to pay £50 for a game which is way below expectations and amounts to more or less daylight robbery.

I'm seeing some of the old blind optimist arguments rearing their ugly heads again, like "don't comment until you've actually played the game" and "why criticise if you are going to buy it anyway" or "you can always sell it on ebay", oh and there is even one in the post I quoted above - "Can anyone name a better football game". It's a good job not everyone has that frame of mind because otherwise there would probably still be slavery.

The thing that riles me most is that people on pesfan have put hours of their time into planning and documenting possible improvements to the game play with diagrams and annotations, things which would add realism, substance and depth to the game and furthermore all those ideas were vetted and voted for by the community - yet I would bet my bottom dollar not a single one of them will have been implemented.

As far as I'm concerned I'm only complaining towards the lack of effort from Konami for trying to improve what is easily the best football video game .I think we can complain even more when you consider the price for the game ,it's not like it's very cheap .
It really frustrates that Konami don't make enough effort to reach even higher heights.

No. They're the latest from Konami. My contact told me so.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Look I tell you one thing, if I like the game, then I'm gonna play it, when I decide I don't like the game, then that's when I decide the game is not worth my money. I'm not gonna decide is not worth my money because it has the same gameplay, as long as I enjoy it, is worth my money.

I can confirm those screens are real - they were leaked by a PR manager from within Konami and the features are to be announced at Leipzig. The Master League has been completely re-vamped and there is now a stadium editor.

[/causing confusion]

I beg to differ. ML has been "pimped" :king:

Why's the ref standing there?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

....looks like many people here needs a reminder of the PSM3 preview stating on behalf of Konami that ALL versions will be the same.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe there is some heavy paranoia around here..

This is now as old an boring a story as the whole untucked shirts affair, omg...
