Yes that mean isn't FIFA, it's PES...
Ohhhhhh, I see. And the fact that another magazine has already said the gameplay is the same has nothing to do with it.

Whatever. When Gran Turismo is released they don't say "it's not Burnout".

Yes that means I hope that I can walk around with Ibrahimovic and all those types 10 minutes around among the defencemen without being stoped , 3 defenders hanging on my back and Gooooooool , yes it doesnt not need to improve. I suppose OT shot doesnt need to improve neither, and cutbacks are cool indeed. Well done.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Gameplay looks the same. So? WTH are you all on about so surprised? Yes it looks the same meaning it looks like the same old great PES gameplay. What now you don't like it? PES was ALWAYS about gameplay and that is why we became PES fans. It basically tells us all the game looks and feels PES. That should be GOOD NEWS. Are you all high or just dumb? Some people just amaze me with their n00bism.
Do the maths, it's not rocket science:
- Gameplay look the same
- Great collisions
- Many passing-animations
- Better ball protection (better collision)
- Better control for pass
- Much better AI in very hard
- New slide tackle
- The ball physique look more heavy
- No more scripts, better control of the player
- GoalKeepers very realistic
- Amazing collisions
- More and better lifelike animations
- Shooting is better/harder
- Gameplay and passing faster
- Shirt pulling
- Diving
- Kits that flow and crease as the players run around
- Alot of new animations

Add these together along with the PES gameplay and you got yourself a much improved gameplay experience overall.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Some people just amaze me with their n00bism.
Some people just amaze me with their delusion. :|

Gameplay is the same, but with added diving and more realistic goalkeepers. But the passing, shooting, heading, tackling, marking, positional sense of players etc etc etc is the same. So what? That's worth £50? Diving and nice graphics don't mean shit if you can still cutback over and over, and the "Teamvision" stuff isn't being noticed by any reviewers so far.

But whatever, we'll see what everyone thinks of the game come it's release. I'm sure the vast majority of fanboys will be happy anyway, even if it's PES6 with better graphics.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

As I said weeks ago, some people needs to get a life. Stop moaning and complaining about a game that is not even released !!! If at least a video had been watched, I would understand, but people is moaning, based on reviewers opinions of a game played... about 3 hours? Hahahahaha please... get a life.

I understand discussion about graphics, face expressions, pitches, crowd... since they are based in the pictures already released. But we dont know ANYTHING about gameplay, besides stuff posted on magazines and comments from expert (?) reviewers (come on...).

The game is STILL being developed, that is for sure. The game IS NO near to the status of "gonegold". There are at least 45 days more of development since the game will be released on three months!!!

You can speculate all that you want, but complaining and moaning about something that you have not played yet is non-sense, at least for me.

Badgerman, please, more art and more rap... we need them!!! :-D

At last!!! One post with some common sense, the lest common of the senses!!!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Putuco JB is only making a very valid point. Most people are ignoring the fact you are being ripped off. PES6 plus slightly better graphics and a diving feature is a rubbish return for a £50 price tag.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Slow downs are an endimic problems of PES, PES3 did suffer from it a lot. Still if they did not figure out how to get a steady frame rate now it is a bit of a concern, especially since the programming on the PES3 is knows to be rather difficult compared to the 360.

Based on PURE SPECULATION... excuse me, but when you play the game, make conclusions. And also make it by yourself, don't take anyone else opinions to make yours.

If you buy the game and don't like it, sell it on eBay. Oh wait... we know how it is all the years... all people complain and moaning but still they play the game a lot and enjoy it!!!

Mate, passing, shooting, heading, tackling aren't the same. It was all confirmed in Thomas' posts.

Just to clarify things:

- The development phase of the game is not ended. That is almost a fact, since the game will be released on three months.
- The PS3 version HAS NOT BEEN played, only Xbox360 BETA or PC not-finished version.

I understand worries about slowdowns, I personally hates the lag, but as I said, this is PURE BS SPECULATION!! Discuss facts of the game, not speculations please...

its kind of sad when you think about it. WE/PES fans, imo, are the only gamers that do the whole "countdown" before every release. i don't think FIFA fans do this, do they?

and please, i'm not a hypocrite, i am slso part of the mass who is eagerly waiting at my pc for some sort of news to pleasure my fantasy.\\:o/

When you think that you're ripped off, don't but the game. You don't have to buy PES. I think that people have to wait until there's some video material or a playable demo (in Leipzich) before they critise the game. Some people have to stop the childish behavior.

So, if I like the game, do I am a fanboy?

For me PES is a pretty good game, and with good graphics, will kick ass.

The game is far from perfect, but I won't lose time complaining about stuff that i don't have, I prefer to focus on what I do have on the game. I can list at least ten things that i would add to the game, but that not means I do not enjoy the game.

And finally, we are again basing our opinions in speculation...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Magazine reviews based on playing the game are speculation?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Magazine reviews based on playing the game are speculation?

It depends how you take the opinions of a magazine.
If they say the game is crap, you will take the word as a holy word and don't buy the game?
PC Gamer trashed Quake 3 years ago and the game rocked the house, one of the best FPS that I have played. And PC Gamer is a very good magazine.

What I am trying to say is: if the game will be bad, it is because I think that, not because "somebody else" has that opinion. Get my point?

Yes, but two magazines have said the same thing now. Of course, your opinion can differ, but if if the magazines aren't saying "it's crap" or "it's great", then there's obviously not a lot that's changed. The fact that they have both said that gameplay is the same shows that. It may not be the final version but they've got very little time left in games-making terms to make any massive changes. I'm sure most of that time will be tweaking the slowdown and adding any important transfers. Which isn't good enough for me. The last three or four PES games have all been way too similar, to me, and I'm not going to buy another version of the same game with very little improvement to the core gameplay (freedom of movement, more control over everything, non-cheating AI, more teams, more competitions, improved master league - that's what I want to see, more changes to the depth of the game than anything, and until I hear more about all of this I won't be buying the game).

By the way, I apologise; you're not a fanboy if you buy it and like it, if it's PES6 with better graphics. I just expect a lot more than that personally, and I won't be buying it if that's the case. But of course, you have every right to, and I respect your opinion (whether we differ or not, you speak English without being insulting, and I respect that).

Unless they are fully analogue, then it is the cpu which decides what happens, not the player, which means they are essentially scripted, as they have always been.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

This year it is very important for Konami, they know that must do a very good game.
For this matter don't warry boys i'm sure that PES 2008 will be the best footbal games ever made.
Just licenses will be the problem.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

I think when they say that the gameplay is the same ,they might talk about button configurations and stuff.I feel more positive with "Better AI on hard mode" and I think with collision, more animations it could end up much better than before. However I don't understand why they do replace teams by other teams .I mean WTF? Can't they simply add more teams instead of replacing them ,no specific new on the ML may mean that there is no major overhaul of the game.
In terms of gameplay ,it'll surely be better .In terms of game depth ,well it might just be not good enough

I agree with your expectations and I also respect that. But, as I said, won't be better to expect the game and, once you have tested, moan and complain about it, if you don't like it or feel ripped off?

I appreciate the good debate, and I dont meant specifically at you in my comments, I mean all the people that just make negative comments about the game.

In the end, all falls to the fact that I will buy PS3 only for PES2008 and I dont want to think about being ripped off with the game

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Another thing to think about it is the fact that never, never PES games have been similars between them. Every single one PES has, for good or bad, its own style.

off topic

Javier Saviola

“I am a relaxed person. I enjoy talking to my teammates and getting to know them. I'm not a big PlayStation fan, but several of my teammates are. They've even organised tournaments in the camp.”

Konami put Ruud on the cover is Spain

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

This may sound controversial but ive literally disliked every pes game for the first day or two of playing, getting used to the new additions to gameplay and removal of old ones, also not being able to score using the old routines, then after 3/4 days does it dawns on me that its brilliant and the changes work, i go back and play the previous game and notice that it doesnt actually compare with the new one. Maybe this just happens to me but i honestly dont think that if i played it for 3 hours id liek it that much, you need time to get used to it, for the features and moves to sink in, you cant do that in 3 hours, not at all

Completely agree. The only one that instantly got me was WE10. The others took their time to be liked, but in the end I liked them very much.
Worst games: we9/pes5 (we9 worst one)
Best Games: we8le, we10

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 07/27/07)

You and me should make an "Analog for PES" club or something. :)

For me it is the complete opposite. I love WE9:LE and PES5. PES4 was awesome aswell back when I played it (compared to PES5 it doesn't hold up though). But PES6/WEPES2007 was a complete letdown for me, the more I played it, the more I hated it. :)
