its a shame that not to many hardcore fans of pes have the 360 version, really i think it was the dissapointment of not getting what we expected and the comments of ppl(morons mostly) who doesn't even know the game that some are still playing it on the ps2 excused those haven't got money.BELIEVE me if anybody asks Seabass which version is the best until now he will say pes6 on 360, really guys if anyone really really loves this game and wants something new GET THE 360 version u are missing out NEVER listen to what other people say about the game if u haven't tried it and give it a chance yourself u will NEVER know.Be well everyone

Wtf is the dude 2 post above talking about? The best version as of now is WE10JL not the 360 version.

Anyways, I feel like contributing to the ongoing discussion about the latest screen shots. They obviously do come from an early version. No doubt. On the other hand, you guys who are expecting the final game to look MUCH better are going to be disappointed. The textures will change, the models will change but but the engine won't.

KONAMI has been behind with graphics for ages. That's a fact. They made a mistake of posting those ridiculous looking ADRIANO SCREENS and failed to reach that level. And it will take them awhile to reach that level only by that time, EA will move on to photo realistic stuff.

They way this is looking KONAMI will just keep on lagging behind in the graphical aspect. The same will happen to the gameplay eventually as well if not changed. This is the reality of the yearly sports franchises.

I hope I'm wrong here, I really do.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

Like always they release images from the intro movie.
Those fans in Pubs etc is from the intro movie thats all.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed by the way, but the guy who got hold of the magazine early made a comment about the new screens containing fans in a pub and immediately after that everyone started saying it was a joke or a lie. Does that not tell you something?

I said that only 'coz its too good to believe such an addition. Plus the fact that we've been having numerous fakes. Simple. Instead of bitching mate you can save the heartache and not buy the game. Even after all this, i know you WILL buy this game like every other idiot bashing pes 2008 at the moment. This game has always been about the gameplay, not the looks. But this time around i believe pes 2008 will have both. I have no problems with pes 360 graphics. I care more about the content and gameplay. Idioteque Machine to Idiotic Machine. You're malfunctioned. You're fuses snapped and blabbering nonsense. Back to the factory dude.

funniest quote so far!!! What on earth are you talking about?? everyone knows that pes6 360 version is the WORST one to date. I had it but was so pissed off with it I sold my 360 to stop me losing my sanity playing such a crap, stilted farce of a game. True the graphics are slightly better than the ps2 version, but again gameplay must always rule over graphics not the other way round.

shilam0unainai - either you are one deluded guy who doesnt actually "get" what console footy games are about, or you are just a sad attention seeker.
Oh, just rememberedm you were the one that posted the idea that PES 2008 will have changing weather in, and will improve gameplay?!!!!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

you guys who are expecting the final game to look MUCH better are going to be disappointed. The textures will change, the models will change but but the engine won't. .
Exactly. Sad but true.
The core graphical engine sucks. Nothing will ever change that.

They made a mistake of posting those ridiculous looking ADRIANO SCREENS and failed to reach that level. .
But WHY?
Graphics are easy. It's coding for a simulation gameplay that is difficult.

Konami -the company- has many outstanding looking games, for every timeframe, and every platform. This can't be about "they can't do good graphics". They CAN, but WON'T. It's just NOT A PRIORITY for the WE/PES team.

This is what really drives people mad.
The Adriano pics are really puzzling.... who, where and why were these photos every made?

Ha ha ha! I strongly suspect that Konami are behind the fact that I lost my work keys yesterday and they may even be involved in the development of my hemmaroids. Bastards.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

well to be honest i am a little dissapointed with the graphics so far but like many of u have said its still early days and hopefully things will look better with the end result, the guys that are doing the podcast have my full respect coz they dont have to do this, they choose to, they are doing us a massive favour by giving us any info they can, these are the kind of people that we need to get even the smallest amount of info, im absolutely bursting for this game, i cannot wait, so guys i will be another one that thanks u for ur efforst, sufwin and adonis i think it was from memory, im a keen listener, anyway, lets just wait and see what happens, but damnit i cant wait any longer for this game to come out!

I think u are very much right mate.

Konami has never tried to make the photo-realistic graphics that FIFA has been pursuing. First of all because Seabass has always had the gameplay as the top priority, and second because his team is not even close to the size of what I understand EA has working on FIFA 2008. Making great looking graphics for the next-gen machines just takes MUCH more time than for previous gens. (just look at racing games, first 1 person could make a whole car in 1 day, but now it takes him about 20 times longer)

Im personally not too bothered with the graphics, ive always liked the cartoony look of the PES games, compared to the ugly players from the FIFA series. When u are playing the game, everyone plays in long or wide mode, so its really not that important how the players look in the screens we have seen so far.

Also great stuff by the guys from WENB who im sure are spending loads of their free time, to find as much about the game for us as they can. So everyone just be happy with that, and don't bash them. Also congratz on going .com guys :)

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

Yes thanks Heaps to the guys from WENB - You guys rock!!!
I Agree with that Big Boss about the Graphics etc...

I dont know about the size of the konami staff vs the size of EA staff, but from being a huge football fan and playing football games (both WE/PES/FIFA) for the last 10 years or so, Konami no doubt have the better programing team.. period!!! And thats all that matters - best programming team, creating the best engine which simulates football the best. Creating great graphics is much easier than creating a great engine with tremendous gameplay and great player models and animations and ball physics etc - so i have great faith that konami will do what is expected of them, ie. create the best footy game to date ;) The graphics for me, look great as they are, and they'll certainly be improved upon in the months n years ahead. I cant wait for this game!!! :)

So the blatant CPU Cheating and bullshit deflections dont bother you then? thats hardly better programming!

the fact that the goal structures are so horrible shows that its a very early build. They look psone-ish. The kit/skin textures hopefully get an overhaul as well cause they look like cheap waxings of the players.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

He's right DJ, FIFA might be on its way up, but EA are years of replicating that feeling of a heart in mouth PES experience, FIFA just doesn't have that flair, it still feels like football in slow-motion.

EA really need to speed FIFA up and add some flair, I've been saying this since 1997!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

I red Winstnos article , and some people talking about TeamVision, and I must say I dont care about TV, cause I play online , game needs little more realism, especially defence is horrible, and Keepers can make unbelieveble stupid "saves. I would be really please if someone in Konami realised that playing on only 1 online stadium is crap. Offlline mode needs improvement, but what is that good for when u get online and see people scoring same goals over and over again, defence making same stupid mustakes, thats where improvement is needed.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 07/03/07)

Cheers for the pic Scorpio, I can't believe Konami are using pics of fake Master League teams to promote its game against EA's licence-rich FIFA 08.

..No!!..id say it doesnt bother me much at all.. I play multiplayer the most, and even when i do play the cpu its not nearly as bad as some of you optimistic morons would think. The defenders who catch up miraciously can be frustrating at times..

But not nearly as frustrating as the piece of shit EA produce each year. Well.. ive kinda just lied.. i dont get frustated about EA - i simply make the wise decision of not playing it!!! ;) Btw, until we11/pes2008 comes out, you should try we10jl on ps2..itll be good for ya ;) its the best programmed footy game to date.. on any console, just like pes2008 will be when its out!! ;)

TeamVision does this just affect your opposition CPU AI, or does it improve your team-mates AI too?
