I read every bit of text on the pages and they were just speculating what the images could mean.

These things are nice and all but I would rather see things that effect the gameplay.

I mean - come on - Fans in a pub... Please....

I bet the guys thumping one off are the same guys saying that becuase the graphics are shit its the gameplay that counts

Regardless of whether the graphics are in an early stage, the two images of fans look like they're taken from PS2.

Can anybody tell what resolution the game is running at from the pause game screen?

One good thing, we seem to have a confirmation of a video (or demo?) for next months issue "PES 2008 will be on the disc next time".

Unless they just stick a picture slideshow on there.

im a massive pes/we fan but i have to say i dont like where this series is going i mean fans in pub player interviews are just gimmics why couldnt they just consentrate on a new graphics engine and animation engine like EA did i fear fifa 08 really is gonna catch up to pes 2008 this year

Hey im a guy who thought pro evo 6 was utterly brilliant, its the new things, the little things that get me going and this info has truley blown me away, granted its speculation, PSM even suggest perhaps its an opening credit...pro evo uses a live action credit and for what purpose would there be of including such things. Maybe its after the match or duing the post match highlighs i would personally still be stoked for that. One thing we are certain about, live coach scenes when the start button is pressed....wow....wow

No-one on this forum is going to take away how umbelievably hyper i am for this game anad how truly quenched my thirst is.

a BIT dissapointed. The master league teams make it look ugly and the picteres about the fans in pubs aren't really fun to watch. It's great that there are players and manegers at the side but they didn't look quite good if you look at nba2k7 and so does the audience. I hope the players on the bench aren't static. Another thing that I noticed is that there are still no untucked shirts!!!

Ok, IMO people here are only dissapointed because of the lack of new pics. Like I mentioned on the podcast, its wasnt something I was bothered about because the pics released so far were from an early build.

What interests me is the career mode. It shows the guy getting interviewed, then the reaction to the news/results shown by images of fans in pubs/bars. For me it shows a deeper career mode. Its something I played Fifa 07 for, so Im really excited.
It goes deeper also by showing player reactions when you sub them off and on by showing you the bench when making your decisions. Very involving.

Then theres the pic showing the bench. Finally we can see the subs bench during matches, including managers! I certainly hope they're not motionless stick people etc, but its great to see them there.

The speculation that writers go on about wont be too far away from the truth. They know a lot more about the game then they are letting on.

Finally, things to look forward to. Like someone mentioned they have a disc logo on the top right of page one with the insert 'PES 2008 will be on the disc next time'. Also, in the 'next month' section it mentions more PES 2008 news. Personally I think that means a video released sometime this month, and that will on the forthcoming demo disc. E3 it could be.

well upon looking at the 'new amzing pics' im even more disappointed with this game.

All the news is just speculation 'online masters league' god i hope not, not looking at howpast pes games have been handled online.

I can see the players on the bench!!! - well whoop de fecking doo!!

Nothing i have seen so far especially thye graphics have impressed me at all so far.

Maybe its just me, sub-conciously getting uninspired by the news and screens so far, becuase for the last few games i have let myself get all hyped up, just to be let down.

The screens still look "cartoony" as opposed to the "next-gen reality" graphics I was hoping for....

It's FINAL... the PS3 isn't getting any special graphics.

Sucks.

I am very disappointed with the graphics used for this "next-gen" game.

Why do graphics really matter that much, on an opposing strecth you could say graphics taking a back seat allows depth of play to be the main focus, after a week or twos worth of playing you wont be saying "my god kaka is beautiful" youll say "jesus this plays well" id rather think the latter

Yeh true, perhaps its something you skip after a while. But it builds atmosphere and really gets you involved.

Seabass can do now wrong with myself for 1 reason, i have played every pro evo for the entire year its been out till the next incarnation, then i play that one till the next, not out of loyalt but because i love..LOVE the games, i converted from fifa back in the day and the moment i put a pro evo game down at christmas 3 months after its out and say "this just isnt fun anymore" is the moment ill lose faith in Konami, right now im still playing 6 and will play it till pes2008. Thats not following blind sir thats following with your heart.

You know what provides atmosphere more than a few cutscenes?

-Authentic looking teams.
-Real looking players, wearing real jerseys, on real pitches.
-Amazing ALIVE crowd sound effects.
-A Commentator that conveys all the different emotions regarding a play.

That's what provides atmosphere.... that's how KONAMI should have spent the last 18 months improving...
