guys, adonis is out at the moment but regarding the question about the guy who played the beta i can answer that for you.

The contact told adonis that the beta he played earlier in the year both looked and played significantly better than last year PES6 for 360. He said that there was a very obvious improvement in all aspects of the graphics. But that was all he told adonis at that time. adonis may have some more info today though so ask him later tonight.

ThomasGOAL, i like the WEYS forums they are more reliable. I hope that this is true and that they clear it up. maybe saturday at hobby fair they may make an announcement about WE11. we will wait. i dont know why but something inside me tells me that WE11 will be out before PES 2008. especially after what the konami contact told adonis about japanese customers and Konami. we will wait and see

agree whole heartedly.

i bought the 360 vers. of we2007 and then once my 360 crapped out sold it and got we2007 for ps2 and got a option file that did just that and am now playing it on the ps3 and all i have to dsay is that its pretty awesome

guys i will get on the case about the langauges.

can other people try the different languages on the blog and tell me how many have problems. much appreciated. will be back in 2 hours

i play pes 6 cam normal long angle 2,this is the closest possible to still get good results,the games before ( pes4-5)i even played cam close normal,u need good use of radar .
i like playing with close came not much for grafic detail,but for bodymovement and i get more involved in the game , when playing with friends they insist on wide cam ,no probs.
i hope pes 2008 has lots of camoptions,amoung others.

The fact is that when the cam is far off the pitch its all about how the players move.

You just proved PES is graphically better than Fifa. You'd see PES pics look the same because PES always had realistic like looks. Thereofre the difference is slight. Fifa's on the other hand look THAT different because they simply looked like monkeys and evolving to humans; most probably inheriting Darwin's theory. :roll:

I play on Long cam, not wide. Long is just perfect for me as it isn't as far as Wide or close as Middle (or whatever its called).

That earlier TG pic is from FIFA 07. Not FIFA 08 or PES 2008.... :)

I usually play PES on Wide Cam. I like to see more of the Field so I can see exactly where my players are.... Now if I could just select the player I want instead of a guy no where near him......

For the dudes who play on wide, don't you use the radar? I tend to use that alot.

08's grass looks a lot better using an in gameplay Camera according to recently release screenshots :) they have done their homework...

back on the subject Lami, I tend to use the Radar but sometimes its no use. Ill play a pass and it wont go anywhere near the intended receiver. Instead it goes to the other bloke who is stood stupidly in an offside position! :)

I do both, but use radar most of the time unless I'm the opposition box

It looks like I am the only one using broadcast view!!!!!!!!

That way i feel the game much more, sometimes I use broadcast 2 it is mad but a lot of fun.

One thing is clear: we need more camera options and a better cinematic feelings. Long and wide indeed the best for playing, but very dull and statics to my eyes.

Well don't know about yous but i practiced my long ball play very well and using the radar i can make perfect pinpoint long passes and i love it :D

Have you tried playing Long on Angle 9? It looks the most realistic one to me.

I use wideview but I want to have good graphics in the close ups during the cutscenes. usually a company releases hyped faked screenshots and the game will loke worse when released. according to this the screens released by konami are a joke

I think the graphical resolution will be the same across the HD systems, however I thnk the extras will be....

1. Konami have merged their PS2 Management Game with PES to make one game and replace the Master League (that was the photo replacing the previous Rio Ferdinand example on the management game)

2. Sony's big suprise is multi play online (by Multi I mean more than 2 per side...this is why Sony would pay 2 Million to promote thei free solution and remember that is the one thing that PES 360 had different with only 1 v 1 last year).

I think the Graphics they have shown are fine, no-one plays the game that close up and I agree looking at the versions above the PS2 looks the best. The big plus must be that we goto Widescreen on PS3 and the gameplay is better overall.

Shirts untucked / tucked are only going to be noticed when replaying, actually my biggest bug bare is that when you score it goes to cutscreen celebrations I would like the resolution and wide view to remain and see the player run to the corner and be chased as they would on Sky Sports...

Always use Wide cam + radar, can't even play on any other cam, need the overview of the pitch.
Would be wonderfull if they added a cam you could completely modify (zoom/pan/tilt/rotate)

hum... think this time PES will be almost the same between 360 and PS3 in terms of GFX. Konami could catch up to gfx similar to last year's 360 version for PS3 and nothing more for first installment.

Like this:

PS3:

- Gfx updated and similar to 360 with some improvements.
- Gameplay wise toward Playstation versions with a slighty tweak in the L2 and R2 functions, due to design on the sixaxis.
- New introductions and usual updates a la fifa.

360:

- Catch up with gameplay modes to be the same as PS use to have and same as PS3.
- Better gameplay.
- New introductions and usual updates a la fifa.

So i think 360 users will be more satisfied just cause they didnt have a "proper" PES game in the plataform
PS users will be a bit dissappointed in terms of gfx quality just because its will be same as 360, the difference will remain like when you got a pc with ATI cards and a PC with NVIDIA, like colors, saturation etc.



sorry to be a carrier of bad news. and btw this is not a fact, its a personal guess.
