Im dreading the new version looking like last years 360 version with the ridiculous tucked in shirts.

I hope also the ball doesent slide across the pitch like glass.

"beta" nowadays is the term for "lets see how may people like it to how many people don't and from seeing how we far we'll just put it out as is..."

I hate to say it but MANY games have been shown to us in their beta forms just recently and the full version of the game is pretty much the exact same as the beta or demo.

Dev put out a beta a demo as promotion for the game thats all they really don't care what bugs you find either. they rather see if the average gamer can pick out the bugs and if not still release it. meaning say you have 100 beta or demo users and they poll them. IF say 20 pick out the bugs they will release the game as is if over half do they MIGHT adress because 50 percent is leading into word of mouth advertising against the game between consumers.

I´m really sick of reading about the bloody graphics and on which console it looks better and the shirts.

Is Ronaldinho a bad footballer because he´s butt-ugly? No, he´s one of the best there ever was.

Why are you crying about the shirts in PES you see in replay and don´t like them. God, grow up.

Play a ps2 option file with accesories and untucked shirts updated, and you will realise how much better it "feels" to play.

Thomas, good effort, but I honestly (honestly, perhaps I need new glasses) think the PS2 picture is the best looking out of the lot of them. :|

Sorry mate, but if you think the game feels better simply based on untucked shirts, then this game is not well spend on you. PES plays better based on superb AI, not on untucked shirts.
Maybe try FIFA ? ;)

No offense, mate. But that might be the case for graphic junkies. If you play the standard wide camera, you will hardly realize it and the ball physics are still the same, too. So, I doubt that. But everybody has his own view on it.

This is a "purely graphical" comparison. No "but PES gameplay rulez" comments plz. I mean D-UH, everyone knows that and agrees 100%.
This is about Konami being capable of making much better graphics on poweful systems, but simply not making them. We'll have to wait and see till the final screens are out. But till today, the graphical leap between Fifa and Pro Evo (next-gen speaking) seems really big.

For the people that keep saying "Why not try FIFA then?" as a response to people wondering about the graphics, I think you'll find FIFA fans care a lot less about little details than PES fans.

See the editing forum down there? Nearly 350,000 posts with people trying to make the game look better.

Is there a game out there that has as many websites dedicated to it and fans discussing it as does WE/PES?
It's truly amazing to me and I love it because I seriously do not play any other game other than WE/PES anymore. I have never heard of anything like this for another game. Does anybody know?

In the first generation of games made for a new console FPS is paramount, and quite often game developers will sacrifice detail and graphics in general to get a few solid versions before stretching the capabilities so that it won't effect the performance.

Load up PES 1, then load PES 6. Roughly the same performance but better graphics... 6 years. Stop whinning about what it looks like at this stage of the new consoles' lifespans! Imagine what PES 2011 or 2012 will be like...

there is no way im getting fifa over pro

every year fifa big them self up with there latest updates blah blah blah and every time its crap when you shoot on fifa it dont even look like the player has kicked the ball.

I had me ps2 chipped and bought fifa every year and every year it would go on once was not even worth a fiver !

now i have the ps3 and will pay full price there is only 1 option pro evo all day long

Slightly off topic, but i was just wondering... Does Konami do this "Capture Motion" thing? Have a look at Fifa 08's. I think its impressing. But most probably the gameplay vidz included are from fifa 07.

Exactly! FIFA-fans care very much about graphics. I myself don't bother too much about that, because I play the game on wide and I am much more interested in what the players really do on the pitch. That is exactly the difference between people like me and those who you are talking about on the FIFA-forum.
Still, I did play the last FIFA-demo to get a good view about the differences in graphics. I think when you play both games on wide cam, you recognize players better in PES then in FIFA. Why is that? Maybe FIFA-players prefer playing a closer camera because of the graphics... in that case it is not important how players look on wide.
One thing is for sure: Both group of fans play their game with a different starting point.
FIFA is mostly played by players who don't care tactics too much, but want to have just fun playing and PES is played by football purists.
So if people here on the board say that they don't bother the new AI but prefer better graphics then I feel they play the wrong game.
Just my humble opinion. I expect a lot of reactions on this, which I will read in a few hours... have to work now ;)

I don't know but i do know that fifa is doing this a long time and the way pes player move is much better than fifa most of the times.
