Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

one question, who do u guys think is nº5 of Portugal,??????? the one pulling the shirt!!

is it Carvalho?

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

I can't even remember the "amazing facial expressions" you mention, actually. Seems crazy considering the latest one doesn't seem to have them!

Oh I see. So maybe the 360 can't handle 3D grass all-the-time after all....
Anyway, I saw the amazing facial impressions on many gameplay videos for Fifa 360, the 1st one. Where Ronaldo is seen realisticaly apologizing to the referee...etc

---------

In a cheerfull atempt to remove the "magazine-effect", I altered the lightening a bit, Sharpened it, then Reduced Noise.

Doesn't look half-bad...:) but still not like the ones released last year.

NB - Don't use these ones for reference in your posts PLEASE, like the previous sharpened screenshots.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

Fernando Meira is number 5 in real life.

ya but the numbers arent correct.

Simao isnt nº7

and Petit isnt nº20

and Ronaldo from brasil isnt nº21

etc...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

About the numbers, it's fake numbers of the PES 2008 screenshots

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

I also think noº5 is Carvalho. But does any one know brazils noº11

on the game or real life? real life is Robinho

the nº11 on pes looks like Lucio

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

man, i'm loving this new stuff already. shirt pulling, stick-figures in training, and even good grass texture.

i am looking forward to the edit mode. i hope it will be completely customizable.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

What i would love is different nets (colour, depth) , taller goals, easier chips and lobs and wider pitches i think wider pitches would make dribbling 10x more fun than it is in evo6, with wider pitches id love them to incorporate "knock past" moves where a player can knock it past someone and carry on running round them + the c.ronaldo move where he rolls it over his foot and heels it back with the other

Well, assuming KONAMI have designed goals etc by specification, there really isn't room for making goals higher etc. There are standards regulating how high goals should be, and how wide pitches etc can be.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

yes they say edit will be massive and i want a boot edit with more options
i really want a broad editing mode. i want to edit players that only appear in ML and etc...

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

Wow thanks adonis much clearer. OMG i was right there ARE little pieces of the gras/mud flying thruoug the air when the players are running.

I reckon you've convinced yourself, because I can't see any "flying mud".

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

i think it is but if you look at some of the other screens the grass texture is completely different but i hope the final texture is free 3d like the pic above.
Any one no who the guy above is to me he looks like emerson but it could be alfonso alves

So you think the person hitting a free kick in training is Afonso Alves, which is also who people think is the Brazilian number 21? I believe the number 11 is a generic player, who features in the background of THIS screenshot.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

It's always fun to see how you guys put new screenshots kind-of under the microscope and find those details.
'Fascinating', Spock would say :)

yes thx for pulling Fatality up on that post Trance.

what are you thinking Fatality??!!!
"make goals higher" ROFL:lmao:

Agreed on the pithces tho. The pitches should be be different dimensions for different stadiums, as long as they stick to Fifa regulations though. That would help variety in gameplay, having to adjust your tactics for smaller, tighter pitches like old highbury and then changing to a more expansive passing style on larger pitch like old wembley.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

I'll get a stroke if Konami doesn't change the camera angle or at least make the height/zoom customizable.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - News/Discussions Official Thread (Last Update 06/28/07)

Why Konami don't show goalkeepers on the screenshots yet ? :-k

Yeah, really.

And I don't see the difference between these pics and the ones from before. Which is fine with me, because with great gameplay, these graphics are cool with me.

But supposedly the graphics will be better than this, so that's good.
