Don´t think so. From what I read (and I´m German) the stats are for your own player profile, not for each player in the game. It probably shows you how many fouls you have commited, how many goal attempts and goals scored and so on in your whole "career" on PES2008.

By the way, I think it wasn´t mentioned in the translation from the German mag, that the goalies would punch a hard shot away (clearly away) if they see the ball early enough. So from what they write it should not happen all the time that you can score from the rebound as easy as it was in PES6. They say that it still happens, but not that often anymore.

rumors are that pc/360/ps3 version are same,
but what ppl dont know is that Winning eleven JP wil be much better(for PS3) ofcourse.

Maybe there will be a diving stat? Someone like Cristiano Ronaldo will have 15 out of 99 as he isn't very convincing, and will just throw himself to the floor at random times whenever the computer sees fit. On the other hand, someone like Steven Gerrard or Joe Cole will have 99 out of 99, as because he is English it's impossible to even think that he would ever dive, or that's what the media seems to think, as it's only ever those dirty foreigners that dive about...

Watching Frank Lampard dive is the funniest thing I've ever seen, who would have though such a big guy could hit the deck with the lightest of touches. :D

Ronaldo, Robben and Drogba would all be 99 so its easier to either con the ref (which would be shit) or they make it look more like a foul and our favourite guy as comparison is Gary Neville with a very low diving stat and who goes down like a felled tree

I have some questions for you folks .Do Konami need to sign some "star" players in order to appear on the cover of their game? I know it kinda "helps" to sell the game more but how does it work ?I mean ,just because my fav player's face is on a game it doesn't mean that I'll buy it .Besides PES/WE is a well known,worldwide brand ,do they still need famous players' images ?

the only way i can see this diving feature being a good thing is if they use it wisely.

sometimes you get fouled by a sliding tackle but you don't fall, you do a silly stumbling animation so the ref tries to play the advantage often leading to a disadvantage, maybe you can now dive at this point to say "fuck off ref i don't want an advantage, i'll take the free kick please".

99 times out of 100 in other situations you get a yellow, unless your getting pulled back by a defender then maybe 80 out of 100 you get a yellow.

i hope that made sense

you can dive when there is a blatant foul that the ref does not give, but could get booked for it even though it was a foul.

there have been moments when i play pes6 where my brother would hack me down and the ref would not blow for a foul. he would laugh at me and i would complain.

maybe this diving feature will give me the chance to fall on the ground and roll about changing the refs decision.

it's going to be interesting.

let's see what develops.

i think this would be the right way to implement it but i'm not sure Konami will take this approach. i just hope, like what other people have said, that it doesn't ruin online

I would like to see free kicks&bookings for keepers in this game who constantly come at least a yard outside there goals to kick and throw the ball.This has always been a featrure unrealistic with game.Book the bastard & give a freekick.

-Individual to each Option File save, as in Games played, Win Ratio %, Team most games won with, Player scored most goals with etc.

or

- Individual to each player in the option file? As in on my saved game 'Drogba, played 11 games, scored 9 goals, 2 assists, David Villa, played 7 games, 3 goals 0 assists?'

Other than Teamvision, every new feature sounds boring, not needed, or useless.

If all 3 versions are graphically similar, then I don't see why everyone with a PC will buy another console version.

I don't think this is true. The Blu-ray PS3 version is relatively unpatchable. The PS3 version MUST HAVE something special about it. And this HAS to be graphics.

Diving? Yes. That's what every PES/WE gamer has in mind whenever we play the game.

How about a button for off-ball RUNS. I mean of course the players should run and take positions all the time (as they do now) but a lot of time a player is not running where I want him to recieve the ball, and it would be nice to push a button that changes his running course.

How about a powerbar-controlled THROUGH ball button. The longer you press, the further away the ball is sent... very useful in cutting through defences..

But diving? Thanks.
Statistics on the Option file? How long does it take to implement this "feature"? Hard work.

I'd like to have a free clock in the game, I mean no time stopping when the ball goes out for throw ins or GKs for example.It'll mean that time waisting keepers will receive yellow cards for not clearing the ball quickly specially when his team is winning .The same goes for throw ins ,if you take too long then the throw will be for the opposing team.Stuff like this would surely make the game funnier and more realistic

I see this as a more important thing than DIVING which I find completely disgusting.I can always hope that Konami might include something like this in the game but I'm not too hopefull
