Social Media and it's agenda driven algorithms.

My Twitter feed is damn near unrecognisable. It used to be what you follow is what you see, now my feed isn't curated by what is relevant to my interests but instead the spew of social political crap that I have never clicked on, from Diddy, to Liam Payne to Trump.

Yes I get that it's trending world wide news but ffs give me an option to exclusively see content from who I follow.

Facebook is also an attack on the senses of aggressive recommended brain rot reels and I avoid that app but even my go to; Reddit is becoming bloated with ads disguised as posts and the usual "recommended for you" junk from a subreddit I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot dildo.

I use "trending blocks" on my twitter so I ONLY see things that I intended it for.. that is to say, retrogaming and the football teams I follow!
Absolutely nothing else.

I think in general. people just don't understand how important it is.
I did it myself back in the day many times. Come here, download a patch & not even bother to leave a thank you comment.
For example, I didn't understand back then, how important juce & his kiteserver are. I finally left a thank you comment for him last year:D

I don't know the whole history, but there are so many.. Jenkey, Yair25, Nesa24, Shollym.
Thank fuck that I recognize my faults & tried to change. For some like me, this comes with age & maturity.

This is what happens when a system want's a society of greed.
It starts at school during exam times, when they pile on the pressure & pit you against your best friends. They make it a competetion.
Then you go into the work place & you see everyone still competeing.

Like say for instance, when the staff is disgruntled about pay conditions, but you have those 2-3 dickheads that will work overtime for little to no extra money.
You know why they are taking that and working like robots? It's so the manager can see it and choose them for a promotion.

And as the wheel turns, as everyone slowly get's greedier & more selfish, without even realizing it, we have a whole generation of sociopaths.
Just like the system intended.
That's why they made "communist" a dirty word. It's got nothing to do with poitics, as every "communist" leader I've seen is actually NOT a communist, but a dictator.

Yeah a simple thank you goes a long way and takes about 2 seconds to post.

That’s great you’re doing that but I didn’t mean that everyone should give back by adding something to PES or patching something. Not everyone knows how to do those things so it would be unfair to expect it. Perhaps I worded it wrong. I think a simple thank you would be enough to give back. I’ve seen some posts where you can see the download numbers in the thousands vs the 10 people that said thank you. Anything I’ve downloaded I’ve always said thank you because it’s just not that difficult to do lol
 
Being thankfull makes both sides happy.

Yet if thousends of people would post "thank you"... you see the problem. "Likes" are good for that, imo. Yet sometimes people simply download first and then not go back to the page for the like. Maybe consider a download a thank you in it selve?

Because internet communication is unnatural in it selve.

It really is sad to see. Back in the old days, even in the lower leagues, 2 hours before the game is the time we would start to concentrate on the game.
Visualize & "get in the zone" so you can give your best performance possible.

That passion is gone now, but I don't think we can blame the players for this loss.
At times they are playing nearly 3 games a week.

The new UEFA competition formats only added more games & it seems like we have an international break every month now, because of this new "Nations League" or whatever the fuck they called it. It's all just added games for more TV revenue.

"Attitude reflects leadership" as the saying goes. If the suits up top don't care about the players, the players will not care about performing.
ESPECIALLY if they are getting paid millions a year in inflated salaries.
 
- People who are far too serious about things that they really shouldnt be serious about
- People having an opinion, thats generally terribly misguided or misinformed, and then spread misinformation which snowballs into a plague of BS
- People who just hate someone/something for no reason other than they "heard about it"
- People with extreme and often contradicting views on subjects, normally around money, payments, ownership, politics but can't back it up with anything substantial and then usually resort to child like behavior patterns

On the whole. I just described the internet. :D
 
The new users who posts here at Evoweb and want patchmakers, facemakers, stadiummakers to make them patches, faces, stadiums for money. They ignore Evoweb is a community for freeware, not a marketplace.
