The Retro-PES Corner

Played a PES 3 match of the WC fixture , Spain vs Portugal, more and more i play, the more i like this PES, presents the atmosphere and experience of a football match very well.

For example, 3:18, i love how in those older PS2 PES's you can make a no nonsense clearance that might surprise the defensive line and create a chance.
Fun match with a late thriller on top of it

Anyone modding/applying patches option files on Xbox 360 here?
It's become quite easy nowadays with horizon, even think they have a few FL patches over pes 18 base game.

World Soccer: Winning Eleven Arcade Championship 2012

INSERT COIN... 😜

This machine comes with power game theme from the world-class football clubs copyright, such as Barcelona, Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Juventus, Bairenmuni black, etc.And jersey, team members appearance, kick-off action, the celebrations are related to the football field even after scoring the reality exactly the same. The gameplay engine diverges from the console iteration through arcade-specific mechanics designed to heighten the pace and skill ceiling.A primary addition is the "Teammate Moving" feature, where players can control a second off-the-ball runner by holding the Right Stick and pressing R3, allowing for precise manual runs and setups that AI control would not attempt. Another mechanic, "Burst," enables a rapid acceleration boost to bypass defenders in one-on-one situations, executed by holding R2 and inputting a specific command when near an opponent. The game also features a "Free Kick Challenge" and a "Rival" system that dynamically matches players against opponents of similar skill levels to encourage competitive engagement. (iC card only)Networking is central to the experience through Konami's e-Amusement service and PASELI currency system. Players use an e-Amusement Pass to access the "Online League," a persistent national campaign divided into five divisions where promotion and relegation occur weekly based on accumulated points. Unlike a standard arcade playthrough, this mode allows for the creation and development of a custom "Original Team." Match performance earns a currency called WEN, which is spent in a virtual transfer market to sign licensed players from the UEFA Champions League and Copa Libertadores. This creates a continuous "Master League" style progression where your squad data travels with your card to any arcade center. The "Championship" in the title also refers to its integration into the Konami Arcade Championship (KAC), an annual official tournament structure. The 2012 edition utilized the game's "National Online Match" infrastructure to rank players across Japan, with qualifiers held through the network leading to physical finals. The game supports a robust "Online Co-op" mode as well, where two players can team up locally or via network to compete against the CPU or other human pairs. This co-op mode is fully integrated into the e-Amusement progression system, allowing both participants to save match records and earn WEN at a higher rate (150%) compared to solo play, incentivizing social engagement within the arcade center.Facebook: / insertcoinarcadeofficial Email: [email protected]

I remember back in the day, a guy called Daymos made a patch for X360, I think it was PES 2014? Adding balls, kits and adboards etc. I doubt he still has it, so the best bet is someone who downloaded it and still has it, or still has it on their console. I feel I've lost mine unfortunately.

The beauty was the console itself wasn't even modded. Quite amazing that could be done

She’s finally here and she’s beautiful 🥰

Oh I didn't know the GameCube version of WE6FE doesn't have super-cancel. I will have to check that out.

I remember back in the day when it came out there were quite a few people on here and other forums who said the GameCube version has more degrees of player movement (more than 16) as it was built for the analog stick since the Dpad can't be used on the GameCube version. Did you feel any difference when you played? I thought I did but I'm not sure if it was just my mind tricking me or not. Will need to return to that game at one stage later down the line.

WE6FE GameCube super cancel = press R + Z buttons together.

Also as a PS2 d-pad player, I took to the GameCube analogue stick very easily. In fact, the whole controller “just works”. X from PS2 is pushed up slightly to become the big A, which you will press most regularly anyway with a passing game. It’s simply wonderful, like a remaster of ISS Pro Evolution 2, as it is still on the Renderware engine with updated graphics.

Up there with WE9LE and WE2008 for PS2, and of course ISS Pro Evolution 2 PS1. It may even be top of the list, but the lack of GameCube editors/editing holds it back slightly. That said, all club teams are editable from within the game itself so there is flexibility. 9.5/10.

Now if Nintendo had made the GC a DVD player back then, what could have been… 🤦‍♂️

Forgot to mention, you can also change to d-pad use via the settings and controller configuration! But I’d advise this only with your own controllers rather than the GameCube d-pad itself.

Yeah it was for version like 2013 and perhaps 2014, but on option files (i don't know how he did it but he didn't called his work "patches" but "Daymos O.F.")
I remember they didn't accepted usb image import on the debut for security stuffs, but probably there was a certain image format accepted for PES.
I still wonder how did it worked without the import image access.

I remember played it at a friend house, but it was all in japanese of course, i have no idea if it was a modded Gamecube (probably), i remember that he took that console as there was always plenty of people in his house, that console was more with multi-players Nintendo's games.

I have a version with patch v.0.3 partially translated in english (menu text only+option file for the rest) that you can emulate with Dolphin... but I haven't found any particular taste to play with it once tried respect the PS2 Version:

WE6FE (Nintendo GC version)... (with english patch v.03+option file)

There's tons of patches for that one, a Premier League + some d2, etc. (Edit: i mean on PS2)
I got the simple patch translated in english too for PS2, i've just restored a bit some stats (overrated) of Chievo and also corrected their wrong infos like height/age etc., but honestly i wouldn't have replaced that team + by taking youth players from others clubs like WEDOIT or Wendetta patchs ITA translation did.... I hate total fakes players but i don't like neither when you deform the database / Well they did it for good reasons so thanks to them whatsoever.

But it was first an italian base translation + Chievo were they took some youths here and there, and practically all translated version got that squad.

For the question (i don't remember who and where) : yes the old Fiorentina who makes bankrupt or something like that was entierely replaced by a total fakes players roster.
As the squad was, that season, counting 0 players : don't search if it's the U18/21 because the team was totally without players that year.

Seems a big upswing for it now again, using pes 18 as base game and adding mods/patches to it.
Yeah remember daymos quite well

Are there any patches or option files for Winning Eleven 9 Asia Championship? Impossible to find it with wide screen patch.
There have been a translated version on here that i downloaded recently but i had to download the widescreen patch and edit the code.

Will send here in an hour.

WE9AC is definitely an undiscovered gem. The midfield battles are fantastic. I wish there were more option files or patches available for it. I can even confidently say it has the best gameplay on the PS2.
There is something about these j.league games, makes the gameplay more physical and less end to end.

I always wondered why WE10 is never spoken about this highly. I always think that if it came to PC it would be the title everyone would be playing today. Almost everything works so well, aside from the goal keepers that rushed out.

Other than that it was and still is a dream to play.
