Alright guys, I don't know where to post this because it's a bit of a weird question: I'm thinking of buying PES 2017 on PC on Kinguin, but I'm wondering:

- Is Kinguin trustable? So the sellers they show will give me a legitime Steam Link when I buy it?
- Is PES 2017 less scripted than 2018/2019?

With the enormous modded stuff for PES 2017, would love to see if it's worth spending 20 euros but I'm sick of the PES 2019 scripting so that's why I would love to try out an older PES version I can still play.

For first question, i don't know and i really wonder how do Steam codes work while pes2017 (and pes2018) is removed from Steam since 2018.
Seconde question, yes 2017 is the less scripted, to give you an analogy, the same AI boost that you see almost in every league match, in 2017 you MAY see it in some CL/EL knockout match after quarter finals.

Thanks for the reply mate! Yeah I'm also doubting because it's removed from Steam and don't know if you can still redeem codes for games that are out of the Steam store.
And good that's less scripted, definitely considering it to buy but still need to know if it's still safe to buy the game

Better search for a physical copy if possible. As i reposted in the past, here in Greece i have foylund physical copies of 2017 sealed but it is sold higher price than 2018-2019 cause some store keepers are jerks. But in rest Europe, i believe you can find somewhere a cheap physical copy.

Physical copy is not really an option for me, because I don't have a CD drive on my PC. But the seller has a 5 star rating and over 300 000 finished orders, so should be quite reliable I think.
Saw a discussion thread on Steam that it should be possible to redeem codes for games that aren't in the store anymore

Took the step mate, and happy I did it, PES 2017 is downloading now via Steam! :D
 
WYC Third Place Play Off Belgium v Austria

As the Third place game has nothing really on it I played the Match as a 90 mins Exhibition Mode - Extra Time - Off Penalties - On All players set to green arrows.

@Special4988 I put Mazunga back in for Mazuto.

I had to upload quickly (relatively speaking as my upload speeds are awful!) as I don't have much time today, so I saved the videos in double speed - so set the speed to 50% to watch!






The tough to beat Austrians were once again exactly that. Aided by another good display in goal from Hedl, who is proving to be a shot stopper of some quality. Cuypers fluffed his lines with two good chances to take the outright Golden Boot. One in a remarkable incident where Hedl saved a shot from close range, Cuypers had the rebound blocked on the line by Meisl who somehow got across to block Openda's shot from the rebound as well! The match went straight to penalties at 90 mins and the Belgians again unfortunately came up short from the spot kicks. Hedl saved 2, Cuypers missed and Austria scored there's for a simple penalty shootout win.

The Golden Boot lead is shared by Griffiths and Cuypers with 5 goals apiece. Of those players in the Final, Markovic of Serbia has 2 whilst several German players have 1. Barring a remarkable performance from one of those in the Final the Golden Boot race would appear to be over.
 
The goalmouth scramble was fun! Surprised it needed pens to decide the result, there was some good chances during 90 mins.

Griffiths was a superhero for me, but even his valiant efforts couldn’t overcome my tactical shitness. Glad he got something to take home with him!
 
Certainly wasn't expecting such an interesting match! Austria was surprisingly dangerous offensively and, as usual, rock-solid at the back - Meisl and Moormann, perhaps the best CB partnership of the tournament? Anyway, Hedl once again proving he's a candidate for the Best Goalkeeper award on the PK shootout, and Austria ends up crowned as the ultimate underdog of the competition with this glorious 3rd place - congratulations to CPU manager AIvanschitz!

@sniglet: :LOL: 2019/2020 Portuguese League champions, Porto. Benfica has the referees, but we have Chairman Xi - you can't beat that.

I just saw our boy Parrott from the Ireland WYC19 NT playing for Tottenham vs. Juventus in the ICC...Pocchetino has been watching the World Youth Cup!
 
Yes I was surprised how Austria were much more attacking. I can only think it was because it was played in exhibition mode and perhaps the 'shackles' were off in terms of there being nothing to lose. Ideal for the third place game really.

Yeah that's quite a defensive pairing and Hedl has made more good saves than any other keeper I think. Well at least until Gordic hopefully produces a Gordon Banks performance to keep out the Germans tomorrow.
 
WYC19 Final - Serbia vs. Germany

The first-ever edition of the World Youth Cup comes to an end as Germany wins the title.

Serbia did look like the most dangerous side, always threatening Germany's defense with their trademark offensive prowess lead by the constant creative Djerlek - though, as usual, Markovic was far from a positive influence up front. Thanks to Fruchtl's heroics, including a stupendous penalty kick save when the game was still 0-0, Germany was able to hold on to a draw up until the last minutes of the match, when sub-ins Osterhage and Bakir built the winning goal of this final - two players that had no impact at all so far in this WYC!

Too bad for Serbia as they were always one of the most exciting teams to watch; however, Germany was undoubtedly the most constant of all of the 32 sides - despite the fact that they just won a competition without having a fairly-decent attacking individual or duo: it was their ever-reliable goalkeeper, defense and superbly dynamic midfield led by the likes of Evina and Abouchabaka who were able to get this title for the Germans.

Men of the Match: Fruchtl/Bakir. While all the latter did was score a goal - the winning goal! -, the former was the foundation of Germany's success today, as we singlehandedly prevented Serbia's potent offense from scoring and even saved a penalty kick!

Up: Djerlek. I'm already missing him...it's always a joy to see this man play football and today was no exception.

Down: Germany's attacking duo. This team deserved a much better attacking presence, yet they're so good elsewhere that they didn't even need decent strikers to win it all.

One month of non-stop simulation comes to an end: from June 21 to July 22, there was always a WYC19 match everyday brought to you either by our modest TV channel or by our underpaid football journalists.
Hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as we enjoyed doing this. Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations to Germany's manager, Sniglet, who's the first manager to win a title on our online simulations.

See you all on the World Youth League!

Great performance from the lads. Although the manager wasn't pleased when he saw his assistant taking off Djerlek while Markovic was still on the field! The great header he had was probably one of the few moment's he has shown up all tournament. I just knew he'd miss that penalty although it was a good save and an even better follow up block too. I'll be following Djerlek with interest at Partizan to see where he ends up. Germany always looked like the winners of this tournament, especially once their fellow favourites started dropping by the way side. They always had someone of quality having a good day even when others weren't.

I'm stunned Germany managed to win that over the course of the match. My opponent's tactics were perfect (:BEER:) and only the double save from the penalty kept Germany alive - although I think at that moment I knew it was going to be our day.

Great tournament from beginning to end and some hints of possible fairytales to come in the upcoming league? So many surprises but in the end, as @mattmid astutely pointed out, the German's always seem to find a way to win (even with me managing them for the last couple of games). Perhaps I'm a late stage tournament specialist or, more likely, the managerial equivalent of a goal-hanger! :PP

Massive thanks to @miguelfcp and @mattmid for arranging it all, and to all the other managers who took part, it's been great fun watching it unfold.
 
The goals stats really back up how Germany find someone to make the difference each time. 9 goals in the tournament from 7 different scorers!

Ok guys ( @sniglet , @Flipper the Priest , @wildwind , @rockstrongo , @jihado86 , @Special4988 ) now the Youth World Cup is over can you get your teams/formations etc pm'd to me by Thursday evening please :) Then the Test League will commence this weekend :BSCARF:

If any of you guys haven't seen the thread that we started for when the proper full league starts you can see it here. We'll put some test league stuff in there as we go along to see if we can get others interested. Either way we'll start with 2 Divisions with AI teams making up the others and we'll all start in D2. The plan is to have a 2 up / 2 down with a 3rd Promotion/Relegation place decided by a play off game between 3rd Bottom in D1 and 3rd place in D2 - a one off match, extra time/penalties if necessary - D1 side at home. Winner stays/goes up. If/when we add further Divisions they'll all be done the same way.
 
As kick off approaches in the Test League the first three teams are ready to go and have had their team photos done.

There would appear to be some discontent in the Torino camp as the huge Cappolo (203cm!) is ostracised from the group.
