Certainly wouldn't go that far.
It was a 6 or 7/10 movie.
The plot was how could we make Peter have the same issues as Spiderman 2 but different enough so it is the same but not the same.
There is no villain in the movie.
Why did they put the Hulk in it apart from just having a 5 minute fight scene.
To me the movie was typical Marvel Movie - kept me entertained for 2 hours but also incredibly forgettable when I left the cinema.
IMO easily the weakest of the Tom Holland films.

I was afraid yet tempted of the spoiler
but thanks for saving my money. This is exactly what i dont want to sit through, the 30th same movie. Which lets be fair inevitable if you are making the same type of movies, very hard to spice it up especially if its run by a corporate machine and the writer's hands are tied by a formula.

I was afraid yet tempted of the spoiler
The thing is there is nothing really wrong with the film, it was entertaining for the 2 hour run time.
It is just Peter's story is incredibly similar to Spiderman 2 and there is nothing new in this film which hasn't been done and better in previous Spider-Man films.
It is now where they take this new trilogy and obviously finish it soon before even Tom Holland looks too old for the role.
On a positive note it was better than The Odyssey.

The villain part is straight up wrong
There are actually two villains in the movie, Jean Grey, who just has a character ark and gets redemption near the end, and then there is Metzger, who turns out to be a villain, although in his own eyes he has nothing wrong. I mean, and this is a massive spoiler in case someone is peeking, he straight up kills the sister. I'm pretty sure that qualifies him as a villain.
You complain about the movie being typical but they actually change things up a bit with the villain part and then it's still somehow not good enough. Marvel villains are a dime a dozen by now and even the shitty ones are countless. Those are not in this movie.
Why not put the Hulk in the film? It was a cool scene along with countless other scenes who were mostly very inventive and well choreographed, effects heavy as they were. Banner was in the movie to introduce the suppressor, so it made sense to give him a Hulk scene to go with it.
Reuniting with Ned and MJ is organic and doesn't just go back to way things were as if nothing happened. The three actors all have incredible chemistry through years of being in these movies together and it shows (Holland and Zendaya being married probably helps too) Spider-Man and Castle have very funny dialogue and the final action scene with Castle looking to solve things his way is very tense.
There are parallels to Spider-Man 2 but this is because after all this is a (superior) adaptation of the comic run of the same name (and previous comics run, which was in part covered in No Way Home, which is also an improvement on the comic).
Also this movie is very grounded, there is no galactic threat on its way to murder all of existence, Just Peter Parker dealing with life. Doesn't get much more Spider-Man than that.

The only parts of the movie which I felt were well done were the moments with Ned and MJ.
Theses were handled incredibly well and will set the friendships up again for the next movie.
I agree with Banner being in the movie but didn't see it necessary to bring back the Hulk for a fight scene.
Unfortunately Jean was always going to have a redemption arc and it was way too obvious.
The other guy from Severance, can't remember his name was the villain of the movie but he was so crap and forgettable, I don't even remember his name.
The Peter losing his powers / going Arachnid was done way better in Spider-Man 2.
The other good bits were Frank is amazing in the film and stole every scene he was in, he was by far the best thing in the movie.
