Obviously didn't tell the whole story and glamorised the bits that were in so it was pretty shit
 
Gran Torino - 9/10

Really good movie again, worth the hype I'd heard about it. Loads of funny moments, loads of touching moments (not like that Joe), and well worth a watch.
 
Burn After Reading - 3/10 for the Brad Pitt dance. Stupid Silly plot.

Pineapple Express - 7/10 Very funny but expected better. Not deserving more than 8 to compete with the likes of 300...
 
I man not comparing mate. I said I won't give it more than 7 so it won't be close rating to 300(one of the damn best) :DD
 
The Wrestler - 8/10

Bloody depressing film, really. Great acting and makes you really feel for The Ram but damn, I felt shitty at a lot of points watching it :(
 
His kid felt bad, as well as him having to work on the deli. Just loads of stuff really. Really well done character though.

I have some films to watch has anyone seen these? Some got rated in the best films of 2008 others just looked alright on filmflex

Tortured - Looked OK and had decent reviews
Burn After Reading - Got rated in the top films of 08 and a top Coen' film
The Chaser - Korean film based on a true story and many say its THE best film of 2008
Meet the Spartans - Rated shite but the previews looked funny
Seed - Meant to be a very very brutal film, more so than Hostel which you can relate to
The Happening - again looked good in the trailers but rated shite
Awake - Looked good and was highly rated
Outpost - Saw the trailer looked good and not a bad rating
 
Awake was brilliant, very clever film and really enjoyed it.

I've heard nothing but bad comments about Burn After Reading. My housemate watched it and said it was one of the most pointless films he's seen. Workmate watched it and said it was awful. Reading other peoples impressions and they're along the same lines.

I'm amazed at how such a shit premise and script can get produced by a studio, my mini scripts at Uni are far superior to this garbage.
 
There are all work in progress but I recently got a copy of Final Draft and I'm finally getting a laptop on Monday.

I may post a few pages down the line for some honest feedback.

I watch a lot of films and here are my thoughts
 
Defiance - 8/10, very good movie, not much more to add here

Scoop - 7/10, i looooove london as a setup for movies, + scarlett + woody pair up = winner. but not as good as matchpoint.

Man on Wire - 9/10 - very good documentary, very interesting way to tell a story. i never heard about that guy, so all the pictures and planning impressed me even more. absolutely worth a watch!

Religolous - 8/10 - i totally agree with Bill Maher here (i am not religious, at all.), and the way he asks questions in a pretty provocative way makes this another very entertaining movie. watch it!

Slumdog Millionaire - 8/10 - great story telling. great idea behind the movie. very good soundtrack. i am not a fan of bollywood-sort-of movies, but this is a complete exception. enjoyed it a lot.
