Just watched the "ESPN 30 For 30 Big Air" documentary, so much respect for Matt Hoffman after seeing that. Incredible will and desire.
 
Source Code - 8/10

Better than I expected it to be, thought the main actor did a good job and was an enjoyable movie.
 
About Source Code, well I've been thinking about seeing it too but is the kind of movie i'm too lazy to watch, but who knows might surprise me as well.

Super 8 - Deserves a super 8 for me, its built in such a fantastic way that it kinda of disappointed me in the end, but still they don't make movies with characters like this lately.

Rise Of The Plannet Of The Apes = 7/10

Not as impressive as I hoped it would be but still a good solid film.

A few flaws and some areas of it required you to totally suspend logic but enjoyable popcorn flick with another great performance from James Franco who is rapidly establishing himself as a top actor.
 
Captain America = 5/10

Meh....:YAWN:

Not in the same league as Iron Man or X-Men First Class.

Red Skull was a totally inept villain who lacked menace and prescence on screen. Incredible that they cast Hugo Weaving (who is a terrific character actor) in this role and give him such a dull script to work with.

Did you rate the special effects that well?

God damn awful film, the ending. Jesus christ almighty.

The makers need shot for this and having heard they want to do a second, I volunteer to do the shooting.

FFS I hope we have an alien abduction for real before Skyline 2.

Ok, 1 of 10 is for me the lowest rating. Normally it would deserve some kind of negative score and all people who watched this crap in cinema should ask for getting their money back. ;-)
 
Super 8

It reminded me films from the 80's.
The movie has its own style and the kids were great.
Good film.

Scream 4 - 4/10

Even during the movie, they keep going on about how all horror movies are the same etc. And yep, this is exactly the same. I know it's Scream and all that, but I expected SOMETHING a little different, a twist on it somehow?

Just really poor, the "twists" that Scream usually does just get repeated over and over so they're not even a surprise, no scariness to it, no jumpy moments, no real humour apart from one line. Poor.

It was nice to see Aimee Teegarden and Alison Brie, but Hayden Panettiere's hair looked a mess and that was a shame. Not enough nudity or underwear either, especially with that bunch in it :D
 
Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I think it was great. Very gripping. The evolution of Ceasar was very well done.

IMO he was the weakest link of the movie. He seemed high all movie.
The primates had more facial expressions than him! :CONFUSE:

Captain America

Not bad, not great.

The first part is pretty good, but as a whole, the movie lacks ambition to be great.

It feels a bit rushed for The Avengers.

An older film.

Paranormal Activity - Thought it was alright, but started to lose it's way at the end. Ending just plain silly IMO.

7/10 for me.

Never in a million years is it scarier than that film with the dudes out in the woods (sorry forgot the name, girl with the snotters running down her face, that was scary).
