PES 6 NEC Nijmegen Master League - 2008 Season Part 2

The season is done!

N.E.C. Nijmegen have won the treble, quite comfortably actually:

• 32 points ahead 2nd placed Ajax
• 5-0 win against Le Mans UC 72 in the D1 Cup Final
• 4-0 win against Chelsea in the Champions League Final

Easily, the top 3 players in my team this season have been the attacking trio: Denneboom-Rosenberg-Jovancevic.
I'm happy I was able to complete the challenge. It really gave me the chance to discover a whole lot of new players I had never even bothered to use before. That whole attacking trio, it was the first time I had ever even had any of them in a team of mine.
I was able to win the treble with 5 players from the original squad in my starting lineup (Babos, Nalbantoglu, El Akchaoui, Barreto and Denneboom), with a few more performing from the bench.
A player that finally started performing and to whom I paid a lot of attention this season was striker Komol, a fictional cameroonian player I signed as a 17 year old from the newcomers section. He didn't do much in his first two seasons but as a 19 year old is when he finally starting to shine, comfortably delivering whenever I had to rest Denneboom. He ended the season with 14 league goals (including a hat-trick on the final matchday), with a few more scored in the cup.

That's pretty much everything I have to say about this ML in this forum, apart from the fact that after reflecting a little bit I realized I grew way too fond of this group of players to say goodbye to it after just 3 seasons. So I will actually continue playing it and try to make it my longest ever ML (furthest I've ever gone has been the 2011 season), but I don't think I'll keep you updated as often as I have with this first three seasons (maybe I'll bring it up after a few seasons? Who knows).

A tough away game Vs River saw me go 1-0 up after 10 min, took River about 10 more to make it 1-1.
A very close first half, with River being the better team.

Start of the 2nd and I scored from a rebound from the goali making it 2-1.
Though you can never count a River team at home out, and they pressed me really hard making it 2-2.
Then with five min to go i had to take a red card when a River player was through on goal, free kick was high and wide.
The dying seconds of the game and invite the post.
Game ended 2-2 which is a good away result.

Next game will be away to a fairly weak Quilmes.

Away to Newell's Old Boy's was a cracker of a game, got away with a 2-1 after a very good performance in defense.
A bit tricky playing D on Pes 15, a lot of positioning and covering runs/holding a good line and not much tackling involved

Then my first home game in a while, vs the bottom team in the league, Atletico De Rafaela.
1-0 up after a shaky start that saw ADR hitting the crossbar and having a few good chances.
Mid first saw Atletico tackle my striker and caused a red card

From there on I could control the game and score both 2 and 3-0.
Good game and a very disciplined one from my team

Sitting very good at 2nd place in the league and actually have a shot at the Tornado inicial title.

Still have league leaders Boca to play and a few other tough games, but looking good so far

Looking good mate 👍🏻 The Argentinian league is a tough one to crack. Even some of the mid-table teams put up a strong fight, no easy games.

It is, really a tough but fun one, and being able to win two league titles every year is quite fun.

Are there any PES/FIFA games with playable Southeast Asia national teams? I know SPFL already has SEA teams but I wonder if vanilla PES/FIFA natively includes those teams without mods.

Hey guys! Long time no write here.

After some hiatus from more elaborate football games MLs/careers, I took back my Pes 2018 ML with Heerenveen in Eredivisie, second year/superstar, where I was a bit over half the second part of the season, also adding a nice gameplay I'm enjoying a lot that makes CPU a bit more aggressive (here: https://evoweb.uk/threads/pes-2018-dt18-aggressive-cpu.105337/, having indeed more fouls per match and two penalties in the second round matches of the League after having a single one in all the game in the previous 160 hours... doesn't feel like placebo ).

Despite it being the more attack oriented of the "new gen" ones, I'm really re-discovering and appreciating it for what it is. Atttacking CPU was starting to be robotic, but I'd pick it every day compared with 21.

So, in the last like two months, maybe, I've been firing it up, put a podcast in my headphones and play, and find out it was really relaxing and satisfying... so, little by little I slowly completed a very fun season.

Fought for the Euro League spot until the very end, but ultimately (rightfully) failed it:



However, a really nice ride in the national KNVB Cup gave me the coveted spot in Europe League all the same:


The Euro qualification was also a total surprise as I couldn't recall if National Cup gave access to Europe in Pes 2018, so I asked Gemini and it told me that no, only the League placement would grant it... not finding it in the rules I believed it, until in the end of the season I saw this nice announcement:


So yes, Gemini allucinated it all .

Anyway, chairman gave me this monster budget:


So it will be a fun market full of possibilities. This is my current team:



Gomez being the top scorer in Eredivisie was surely my symbol, Odegaard is quickly growing in a world class number ten, but I'm growing fond of more or less the rest of the eleven. Marega, bought in january, managed to steal the starter spot to the alternatives and proved to be decisive in the Cup win. Definitely a great signing.

As for the market; among the others, as I'll do a good clean up of the reserves: I'll surely sell Lavezzi, a total disappointment despite a goal in the final, and maybe Rojas (he's in a pretty descendending curve, although he's still pretty fast so we'll see).

Anyway, this time I'm doing more of a fantasy Master League than the others, as for example one of my rules is that I'm usually firm on not buying regens, but I gladly picked Rooney with the idea of growing him up as much as I can and if the occasion arise/I'll see them fit to the team, I'll pick other regens too, without abunding of course.

I also don't want to fill the team with superstars despite the mega budget, so I'll try to sign realistic players or at least champions in the become; I presented an offer for Vinicious Jr. as of now, who was still at Flamengo at the times, but given the Ronaldo/Romario success in Netherlands it would kind of feel ok to have him here. If it won't go in I might go full fantasy and pick Lobato/Allejo, who spawned this summer.

Same here in trying to keep it realistic when it comes to transfers, almost only South American players in my Lanus ML
Its a good rule to get the game lasting a bit longer

My Lanus ML on Pes 15 is really taking off.
Stringed together a row of wins in league, still in the Apertura (first half) of the league
But since they hand out two trophies each season I'm having a big chance of winning the Apertura
Wins against both Belgrano and Gimnasia La Plata making me too of the league ahead of Boca




I have 4 games left of the Apertura and having a few tough games coming up soon so hope I can keep the winning way

Duster off Independiente 2-0 at home in a relatively easy game.

Then away to Velez Sarsfield.
This game was incredibly hard,they had most possession and were extremely good offensively but my defense kept them scoreless with a lot of hard work and skill and a shit load of luck.
I counter attacked in two goals making this a very prestigious victory

I'm now 5 points clear of Boca and looking very likely to grab a title with only a few games left, but next up is San Lorenzo and that will be a proper fight for sure
