This is a very dissapointed derby. First parts from the home crowd was leaving at 29 minutes in first half. :CRY:

it was a spectacular 4-4 even tho I enjoy good tactic games. but this was a strange one. there were few moments that made me think Inter was owning the game but fortunately for me Yildiz came in and changed the score. Juve is still a W.I.P.!

In my opinion, generally speaking, the ultra's don't have the power & influence that they used to.

I'll speak for what has happened at my club, Galatasaray.
The president & his board of accountant's have bought off the leaders of UltraAslan with favours & match tickets.
These then go & sell those match tickets for astronomical prices on the black market.

They made a sponsorship deal with an illegal betting company & plastered it on our kits. Then 1 week later they got found out & said it was a simple mistake.
They applied mobbing & got rid of our committee member who built this team, Erden Timur (legend).

There was out-rage all over social's, but the stadium remains quiet.
& now for the most bullshit of them all ..

We threw our match vs Young Boys SC in Champions League qualifying, because if we qualify he has to biuld a deeper squad.
& not one protest was made at the stadium on our next home match.

This is how it is, when the mob is running football.

Absolute disgrace. As a neutral, I would just watch the premier league because it's great football. This VAR crap makes me wonder why I even watch anymore.

You know whats even more messed up? We don't know if it's the Man City brigade that's influencing the refs, or the betting conglomerate??

I remember a time when football was simple; a goal was a goal, a foul was a foul, any tactics could beat another one.

Football has evolved into a business and entertainment, and rightly so. However, the football I fall in love with is slowly fading away. To be honest, if it wasn't because I support Newcastle United, I wouldn't be interested in following the Premier League let alone European football.

Nowadays managers get crucified if they don't play the Pep way - a possession-based 4-3-3 with rigid patterns of attack and winning the ball in about 3-5 seconds. Nowadays it's hard to see players expressing themselves in the pitch. In terms of player quality, I think we've hit a plateau.

I may be 26 but football's future is going to be a bleak one if issues such as VAR are not addressed quickly, and the same thing happens with tactical approach.
 
I think the worst thing with VAR is they still get things wrong so what's the point? Might just as well go back to the referee getting it wrong and at least having the excuse of only having that split second to see it.

Last night the Arsenal second goal was taking an age on VAR, they'd scored, celebrated and were all lined up and still not got a decision. They then actually showed on tv that they were checking for offside from Partey's header back across the goal. First look you could see the ball went backwards. How can that take 2 minutes to make the decision it's not offside when you can see it from one view of it!

Totally agree. When you're picking a keeper based on how well he can pass the ball then football's gone mad. This obsession with taking goal kicks by passing it five yards across the box and then back and then sideways and then half the teams either lose it or hoof it anyway which they might as well have done in the first place with the goal kick. They're doing it right the way down the English leagues, it's madness.
It is also the biggest timewasting tool available to teams now. Fake a few short goal kicks, then usher the players upfield to take a long one. Thirty seconds wasted. Teams do it time and time again.
Then you have the likes of Southampton committing football suicide by continuing to play out from the back when they clearly aren't good enough to. Continually giving the ball away in dangerous positions costing them endless goals against. Honestly what is the point to it?

That's why I like about Dyche; he is not afraid of doing something different. He utilizes and maximises the best attributes of his players and that's remarkable imo.

Long-ball play should be encouraged under the right circumstances as well; there's literally no point of playing from the back an retaining possession for absolutely nothing. Newcastle-Liverpool's game was all about building from the back but the amount of loose balls due to heavy-pressure from both sides was staggering. They could avoid this by, well, sending a long-ball to flippin Darwin and Isak but nah, let's risk it for the sakes of it.

All these Pep wannabe managers .. do they simply not realize or recognize the players, that Pep did this with?

He had a Barca squad, that had many players who literally grew up together, playing for 10 years in that system.
And he had Messi.

He found success at Bayern who have bought every dangerous player in the league anyway. & a Poker scoring Lewandowski.

Managers need to stop being so dilusional at some point.

(Okan Buruk @ Galatasaray, keeps trying to play 3-5-2, but he has no wing backs. He expects our LWF & RWF to magically become defenders lol)

In next year in summer there is a Fifa club world cup. But not the same like every season befor.
There will be 8 groups with 4 teams per group. If I understand it correct, than there will no qualification for it. -> Absolutley fck money collecting trash from the Fifa

And 2034 world championship will atended in Saudi Arabia. As well absolutley fck money collecting trash from the Fifa.

I'm not sure, if the "football" as we know it, will be in ten years and ongoing, the same thing or just a "quickie" for multi-millionares and billionares. 😠

At first I wanted to avoid ranting about the "new" FIFA Club World Cup scheduled to take place the next year, specifically the participants getting involved in this rebranded competition. Funny that you mentioned this "new" CWC completely ruining the football because of money while also increased the risk of injuries/other fitness issues for good players due to more games (the CWC is even kicked off only a few weeks after the Champions League Final, though).

There are only 2 requirements for a certain club to qualify for this rebranded competition:
1.A club must win the continental championships in the last 4 years (could it be the UEFA Champions League or Libertadores).
2.A club must be ranked higher in the confederation's coefficient for the last 5 years.
Also, a country may only send a maximum of 2 clubs in this rebranded competition. The 3rd and so on can only be qualified by winning the continental championships, which is why Liga MX and Brasileiro Serie A have 3 and 4 clubs respectively in this "new" CWC.

Below here are the complete groups of the "new" CWC" (the draw has already out on the previous week):
Group A: Palmeiras, Porto, Al Ahly, Inter Miami.
Group B: PSG, Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, Seattle Sounders.
Group C: Bayern Munich, Auckland City, Boca Juniors, Benfica.
Group D: Flamengo, Esperance de Tunis, Chelsea, Leon.
Group E: River Plate, Urawa Red Diamonds, Monterrey, Inter Milan.

Inter Miami qualified as a "de facto host" by FIFA by the virtue of winning the MLS Supporters' Shield. I personally disagree about this decision. Actually, MLS has a "championship playoff" after regular season had been concluded, in which LA Galaxy (the current winner) should have qualified instead.

The decision to hold the rebranded CWC is now met with harsh criticisms, especially about players getting injured more frequently due to more games (not even counting the fact the European club competitions has a new format with the extra 2 games in both league and KO phases, as well as the football tournaments outside Europe). The CWC should feature only the Champions of the respective continental championships. And the fact only 2 clubs for each countries in this new "CWC" led to another critics where many big clubs with historic pedigree (Liverpool and Barcelona, for example) couldn't met those 2 important critierias due to the disappointing performances in the continental championships. This is absolutely an important, especially when you noticed that some clubs had a disappointing campaign this season like Manchester City (they only won 1 in the last 10 games across all competitions!) and Red Bull Salzburg (only won 1 in the Champions League this season and had an inconsistency in the league).

The decision to unanimously award Saudi Arabia as the 2034 World Cup host shouldn't be happened. Same goes for the Spain-Portugal-Morocco bid for the 2030 World Cup (and the 3 South American countries bid, considering the fact 2030 is a centenary year of the first World Cup held in Uruguay, with that country potentially hosting an opening game at Montevideo, along with Argentina and Paraguay). FIFA should use an old "voting system" like in the past to determine which countries that will host the upcoming World Cup in a fair decision. It brings back us to what happened when FIFA disgracefully chose Russia and Qatar as the 2018 and 2022 World Cup hosts, when you see the fact those countries have such a "human right" issues (Russia had even worsened the situation with the current war against Ukraine several years after that World Cup).

Just like Qatar, Saudi Arabia is an Arab country with the same "human right" crisis, specifically about migrant workers getting enslaved to death. The funny thing is that why FIFA decided to ban Russia for "invading Ukraine", while in fact Israel had also committed the same "human right" crisis with unstoppable genocides happening in Gaza and the Palestine, as well as continued military aggression in Lebanon? Football (and maybe, sports) should not be mixed up with the politics!

Also, the World Cup in Saudi Arabia might led to another "winter season" of World Cup just like what happened in Qatar, which could ruin the domestic football calendar. I heard about the rumors the 2034 World Cup will most likely be held in January-February 2035 and not November-December 2034. If we believe the coincidences, FIFA didn't want to stage the Saudi World Cup on November-December 2034 for the religious reason (Muslims and Christians had Ramadan and Christmas respectively during that period, so they wanted the World Cup to be held a month later).

I think they just needed to find a way to include Miami because of Messi, and isn't Beckham involved there, too?!

I am surprised that they could not find a way for Cristiano to be there, too. Maybe at least he can do the mascot in attendance similar to what Snoop Dogg did in Olympics :LMAO:

Summer for me is, as long as it is not the real World Cup or Euro, beach, holidays, relaxing, time for family, and wait for the start of the new season. I don't think I will watch even though Inter is attending and gets big money for it. I love football but I also love a summer time without it honestly, and family and friends are happy with that of course.

The decision to shoehorn Inter Miami into the competition has completely wiped it of all credibility already. You joke about Ronaldo but I can guarantee someone at FIFA had that conversation somewhere!

As for the World Cup, there's nothing to say. I've accepted nothing will change, and I'll just go with it. Much like Qatar there'll be calls for a boycott but for what?
