You guys who don't follow portuguese soccer miss a supershow we have every year, that keeps us going while soccer is away from our lives and boy is it FUNNY! It's the Benfica Superstar Failed Transfers Show, a huge thing that happens every year and which has no paralel in europe (tell me if there are clubs in your countries that compare to this, I'm curious).

Check it out, this is all failed transfers confirmed either by benfica, the player, his representative or the selling club. It's amazing!

Robinho ( madrid)
Tomasson (stuttgart)
Kezman (atletico madrid)
Van Der Meyde (inter)
Zenden (middlesborough)
Dedé (Dortmund)
Kleberson (turkey?)
Julio Cruz (Inter)
Saviola (Barça)
Ewerthon (Dortmund)
Nonda (Roma)
Kalou (Feyenoord)
Zalayeta (Juventus)

Next episode (runnung):
Ricardo Oliveira (betis)

Do you see now how in Portugal we can go on 2,3 months without soccer and still have fun? :)

How much is Oliviera linked for?

Zyssis Vryzas (Fiorentina / Celta de Vigo) ---> 1.FC Nűrnberg

both speculation, one of the most likely will be transfered till 31.8.

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Another great signing, the amount of good players coming to the premiership to the close to top teams is brilliant!

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Alex (PSV) -----> AC Milan

in the next transfer window apparantly, because Alex is owned by some kind of investment company and not by PSV, and they want to sell him.

Good option for Milan though as Maldini and Stam are getting very old by now, and Nesta is the youngest anymore either...

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

I thought he was partly owned by Chelsea, and Chelsea and Milan have very good relations (Crespo for FREE, Treating Robben at Milan lab, withdrawing their bid for Sheva as Milan requested etc).

Him and Felipe are being targeted by Milan, Felipe is the 21 year old LB/CB of Udinese, who IMO isnt very solid.

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Yeah that rumour about Chelsea co-owning him has been around for awhile, but they now said that isnt true, and he is just owned by that investment company....its all kinda shady as no-one knows for sure whats true, but we'll see come january what happens...

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

New coach for Nürnberg, at the moment the main rumours are about:

Lothar Matthäus (Hungarian Nationalteam)
Zdenek Zeman (unemployed)
Kjetil-André Rekdal (Valerenga)

hm...what would be the best solution? :)

Good. That means he might not be thinking of going to Barcelona right now. Moreover, it means he might eventually consider coming to Madrid! :D What a player... ;)

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha has hinted that he could leave for Qatar

Okocha said: "I have been getting a lot of offers from Qatar and it might be difficult to keep rejecting them, given what is on offer.
"Until recently there would have been a lot of pressure on me to get myself fit and back into the team. Now that's not the case and it's going to be difficult for me to regain a regular place.
"I enjoy competition and I intend to fight hard to stay in the team, but the club have several more players now who can do the job that I was doing and that's great for us.
"I have an option for another year [at Bolton] next summer. I might stay here, or I might look to finish somewhere where there is better weather."

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Alvaro Recoba (Inter) ---> VfB Stuttgart
Cacau (Stuttgart) ---> Nürnberg

both might happen in the next t. window, as half season loans.

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Cacau back to Nürnberg, interesting... :-k

And Alvaro to Stuttgart, I'll believe it when I see it. Would be cool seeing him in the Bundesliga though. :)

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

Some sources say Diego Lugano officially signed for Milan, but will join in 2006. 2.7million pounds.

Anyone know if hes good?

No, Hélder Postiga will sign for Real Betis de Sevilla.

Re: Speculation Transfer 05/06 Thread

It would have amazed me if he really would play for a Belgian team...
