But in all seriousness - the metallica tracks are awesome and very very tough - but i would love to see more uk bands put into the game - even if they aren't classics.
Oh and please for the love of god... put The Darkness 'I believe in a thing called love' in. The Guitar Hero custom version was awesome

i traded in some old shit and guitar hero w guitar to pay for my import - i only stopped playing it daily as GTA came out.
Wouldnt say its worth the money for someone who cant play band world tour though

coopz, since you play with mates in the same room all the time, then you SHOULD eb playing this. Its a great great great game.... the novelty is always fun, when some dude you kinda of know, who is you know all professional like, wears suits to work, then he breaks out the mic in rockband! ITS FUCKING HILARIOUS. you will laugh your ass off.. and not get pissed off about response times...
one of the best video games of all time when you have 4 people going at it at once...

You'll probably pick it up cheap in a month anyway when a few people have bought it, found they have no one to play with and ended up thinking 'shit... ive spent £140 ish!' and trade it in.

I love breaking this out - each time I play it, it still marvels me and I love it. Downloaded the new 'Beetlebum' last night and though its a (not great) cover, it was still hella fun to play.
Then I played on for about an hour, cracking through some of my faves, culminating in "...And Justice For All", which I've not really played before and it took my right back to my angsty teen days! (I used to go watch football with my whole family, I insisted I sat in the front of the car all the time, and would put my heavy Metallica tapes on the stereo at high volume to annoy my Mum and sister).

I had a look at the UK DLC they've released last night... and other than 'Rock and roll star' none of them really called out to me. Though i didn't get the oasis track in the end i got some others instead. There isn't really anything else on there i want to get right now so i think thats me done for a week or 2.

I played My Sharona last night, that is so awesome - great to sing and great to play (drums are really good too). But that solo at the end is superb. Think that was the 2nd song I played after Beetlebum and after getting a good score on My Sharona (Vocals, Hard - Guitar, Hard), it put me in a good mood to play loads more harder songs!
Soooooo looking forward to the Pixies album next month. That is going to be fantastic. I can recommend Roam (B52s) as a fun tune too - especially in the summer. Hard to sing though.
I assume you know you can preview the songs now in the 'in-game' store? Plus after a few seconds, it caches the song, so you can preview them really quickly.

Yeah - i've been youtubing the tracks as well to see if the note charts are any good. A few tracks ive looked at have terrible note charts, either they're too easy or really stupidly difficult... either way not that fun for me.

I really struggle with some of the Queens of the Stone Age ones - Sick, Sick, Sick and the solo at the end of Little Sister is a crippler...

God Play are shite. The instruments have just arrived but the game hasn't.
The only reason I used them cause the price was so cheap so I shouldn't complain I suppose!

It's one of those songs I can't stand but once I've heard it I'm singing it all day. Songs like that need banning, they can lead to serious mental health issues.

Its a real fun one to do with your mates/family too as most people know it well (at least enough to scream "MYYYYYY SHARONA!")
The drums are ace on the higher levels - sounds silly, but it really feels in time with the song.
