In 24hrs. RM made €5m in Rodriguez shirt sales(50k sold) alone!
They don't 'make' 5m from that - it's gross sales revenue. Even with high margins, say 10%, that'd only be 500k profit. And that's probably way to high. I'd imagine it'd be at most half that.
Shirt sales never pay for players. It's a massive myth that Perez or whoever made up when he was discussing Beckham. In the aggregate there's some truth to it because adidas or Nike or whoever pay massive sums to the clubs, but it's not directly coming from individual fans buying shirts.
Madrid are primarily able to spend like this because of the TV deal, and their forgiven debts/training ground deal from back in the day.
RM makes money? They have the most debts of any club in the world and if wasn't for some shady deals with the Madrid municipality would be bankrupt. When the remain clubs in La Liga had enough of the disproportional TV deals (in the same fashion of the Italian clubs a few years back) their huge debts will bite them on the ass, in the same way that had happen with AC Milan and Inter.

Well, Real can continue doing this until their ties with the central government are cut. But that won't happen as it's the toy of the right wing politicians (Perez is the biggest member of the right wing think tank in Spain).

345k in 48hrs now, that's insane!!!! that's about 25 milion right there, how much % takes a team (Real in this chase) from selling kits?
