Pure Football gameplay mod

Gameplay is compatible because it does not touch legacy files, u should be fine with trying out..normally it is very different from default gameplay.

Look, I am very exigent with gameplay in every game I play, be it football, cars, hack n slash... whatever. I like to feel in control of the character, yet challenged at the same time. And this is the first time since I've played FIFA, that I have found a gameplay with few flows. The catch-up bug almost doesn't show anymore if you play default sliders, the animations feel really great... I use Chan AI-motion as a base, and should be changing few EBX that I don't have as a base, and might be polishing certain things animation based, but even without it, 1.3 is the best version of the mod I've made in terms of timing, feeling of the game, etc. etc.

This is probably the best football experience I've had ever. The only things I need to do now is polishing certain actions like driven passes, driven through passes, certain aspects of shooting... They all have already quite a good base, with each action having it's drawback and advantages and consecuences, but I feel like they could take some customization, or maybe bug fix/polishing between all of us. I am always open to feedback.

Shoots and passes should have a bit more of impact and weight that vanilla, but not feel like a rocket. If you tip slow, it should go slow, if you hold, will be faster. But it is true that the impact in the ball gives a bit more of initial speed to the ball (a bit, not too much, from 0.5 to 0.75, or 0.8 in shoots) so it shouldn't be too much.

I have played some matches last night.
My first impressions;

I really like the physics , both the ball(physics) and player movements, I find them great!

The pace feels special!

What I felt , that passing..something a bit overpowerd..sometimes it is to much..

Also the shooting, little bit to overpowerd,

Overall, I enjoyed myself for sure, so thanks!
 
I had been loving danielz and Anth gameplay but still wanted to try yours, and the slow pace and animations are very realistic, i've been seeing goals scored in way more realistic ways like i've never seen, the only issue is that even if i make a long/lobbed long pass (tried on assisted and semi and same thing) they usually go like rockets too far away to the AI GK, apart from that it's amazing :APPLAUD:

Could you show us your controller settings to make sure we are in sync? Keep up the amazing work

Okay! Forgot to read it carefully..did not know that it was designed for semi or manual
 
It also works with the Women's World Cup, I played 2 games. Great pace, great AI. I had to find a flaw, perhaps every now and then there are too strong passages that fly away, both from the User and from the CPU.

Thanks for your kind words! Sometimes passes go a bit fast but that's also because of the speed of the ball, it tends to have quite much inertia, so when you're running with it, the pass will charge faster than if you stay still.
 
Guys, another update to give some love to my mod, each time getting a bit closer of what I want to achieve. This is version 1.3.1, and it's named like that and not v1.4 cause I consider it a minor actualization, I will explain myself why after the download link:

In this version I've been trying to mend, again without too much success, the behaviour of the defensive lane not going back when the ball is in the wing. And, while I haven't had a proper success, maybe, with the values I changed, at least now if you keep sliders default, the defense will be more pendant (at least should be) of the attackers and the unmarking moves they do, and might react much before. What I essentially did is to decrease the time they take to update the enemy position, in hopes they run back into marks when they are up high, and although I've got it sometimes to work, many times the defender will not go down.

HOWEVER, if the player is not too far from the ball or they are well positioned, is highly probable that they will mark better the player now, and short displacements should be defended better.

On the other side, I've been working on making the dribbling more reactive and mostly, more precise, so that the starting steps of a dribbling didn't make either the player or the ball to move so far away unless you sprint, and oh god did I make it. Dribbling feels better and tighter than ever, as it should always be, and now you can make some awesome moves with your favourite dribbler by simply tweaking the left sticker + maybe one of the 4 modifier buttons (triggers and bumpers, essentially), or with a small move of the right sticker. LT dribbling is much better, combining LT, sprint and bumpers dribblings is much more important now and also much more effective and rewarding. Is something I can't explain, the dribbling now feels much more realistic. Slow when you want it to be slow and fast when you want it to be fast. Getting closer to where I want to go, but I still need to solve the lane issue because many times some stupid goals are still conceded.

Yes, and all passing settings on manual, contextual actions (dribblings, tackles, etc) ON/assisted, and semi shooting.
Trying it out now and I've noticed the through balls or lob through balls with minimum power still rocket to the AI GK/go out flying for a goal kick, using the settings you provided and very confused if it's only me

Check that you have through pass on manual as well.

I did 🥲really like the dribbling even lower rated players can pull off some nice dribbles and shield defenders, it's just the random rocket passes i cant seem to understand, but keep up the aweasome work :APPLAUD:

It doesn't happen to me unless it is a rebound or an error in the pass, for some reason. Make sure you ain't running when doing the pass or the character may fail and shoot with the point of the feet. Always release RT before shooting or running, try to keep players close to the ball and viceversa, do controlled dribblings and always angle properly for the pass you want to make. If you make all this, it shouldn't happen what you tell to me. Still, if you can, upload a video so I can see it. Try also to repeat it toe from several angles and zoomed to see what's happening on the contact, etc.

Also, could do a call with you on discord and you show me if you want.
 
oh,its just very difficult to record,I have this rocket pases and sometimes analog situation with shooting too.But I cant undestand is about shoot they are too slow but AI shoot normal from analog positions.Sliders are default. But the gameplay is perfect for me!
