I've been having problems with PES5 on my windows 11 machine recently. The game hangs between screens sometimes it will stay stuck for a bit then return to normal, sometimes in games when I use the menus it will hang and just stop working. I've not had any technical problems with pes5 for years so I don't know what's causing the problem. I've just done a fresh clean install, no mods no kitserver. Still getting the same issue. Anyone else getting this problem?
 
I've found this issue in some PES 5 patches, especially during the formation screen. Running the game in Windows 7 or other compatibility doesn't seem to solve it (at least in my case) so I think it might be something patch-related. Let me know if you find a way to solve it. Thanks. :TU:
 
Hi guys some of the recommendations on the pes5 subforum were that put the game folder, kitserver folder and executables for the antivirus exception, personally i think the issue must be with w11 ms made their own policy of fuck off all the retro stuff...
 
I remember having had some issues on Windows 11 with PES 5 specifically (remembering them makes me happy I migrated to Linux).

Since you are using an unmodified version of the game, I remember that WITH kitserver and a resolution set through kitserver the game already ran better.

Similar problem here on windows11: it often completely freezes during the loading screen before or after the match. Sometimes, it just freezes for some minutes in other random moments, but usually not during matches.
It is very different from the classic formation screen short freeze, which can be solved by including pes5 folder in Windows defender exclusion list.
I've tried anything: downloading vanilla game, trying we9(LE), disabling windows defender, running as admin, compatibility mode, using project lasso to disable e-cores, dgvoodoo, 4gb patch, increasing reserved memory in kload, etc.
Nothing works.
What's worse, the complete freeze blocks fullscreen and doesn't let me close the game, so I have to restart the computer every time
 
PES 5 and PES 6 was not intended to play on current Operational Systems.
But, certainly, it's better try to find solution to avoid problems and do not have a few OS-es for playing in different games.

I remember that on GTX 1060 6 gb I have issues in on of my favourite game Colin MC Rally Rae 2005 - when FPS was too much and videocard "starting loudly sound".
Later I was found solution - tool, that limits amount of FPS and play now without troubles.
Thankfully also, that we have a services like GOG, that preserve "Golden Games Funds" for next generations or for us later.
And I was tryed also "make own modest contribution to the preservation of gold patches from different historical periods" on base of best PES games of old times.
