Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread
Just been messing about with the sliders on the WE 10 demo, and what an impact they have on your style of play. You definately need to make sure that you dont set tactics that compromise each other. Always work for a particular strategy and set the revelant sliders sccordingly, and they work a treat.
If you mix the likes of player support, compactness and pressing in the contrasting wrong order, it can have a detrimental effect. They should maybe auto- lower certain sliders bearing in my what tactics you choose, especially if they conflict. They do to an extent, but I'd like to see more. Although the flip side of that coin is, quite rightly, if you set your tactics that conflict with eath other, you get negatives results.
My last game I wanted to make Brazil more free-flowing and quick on the counter. I set the compactness slider, and press slider as low as I could but had the player support up to 100 and played a 4-4-2 formation. What a difference it made to Brazil's style of play, they looked the classic 1970 world cup winning side at times. They never looked to press, but instead kept their distance, and looked to intercept a forced error. The defensive lines looked very solid, with acres of width and ready to move forward with pace when I won possession. I won 2-0, I have never tried those tactics before and they worked beautifully. I loved the way all the Brazilians were just nochalantly giving the Italians plenty of room to breath then waiting to pounce on an interception, then hitting them hard, breaking in numbers, with masses of width to switch play, creating plenty of goal scoring opportunities.
Class.
