I expect the demo to be good but if its not I hope people on here (cough...fanboys) dont act like its the best thing ever like the last 2 years, cant wait to play it tho

Well I am really looking forward to it, for the first time in 4 or so years. Last PES I played was PES5, I refused to pay for any of them since as I haven't seen enough change. This looks, on paper at least, a good return to form. Fingers crossed it isn't a HUGE letdown.

Don't know how official or reliable this is, got it from proevonews.


The Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 playable demo will be on XboxLive, PSN, and PC networks from September 17th and will feature six teams to play with:

* Liverpool FC
* FC Barcelona
* Spain
* Italy
* France
* Germany

The demo will be available on the following formats at the following times:

* PC available approx 9am GMT
* Xbox 360 on Live 12pm GMT
* PS3 on PSN 5pm GMT

So 5pm tomorrow it seems.

At least people can't throw about the "old build" excuse this time then if it's crap!

Tomorrow is do or die for PES 10 for me, if it's anything like PES6-09 then the demo will probably only last a couple of days before getting deleted... If however it's as good as PES5, i'll be putting in a pre-order.

This makes it seem like the 360 version will come out after the PSN version, which I sincerely think it's nonsense. Shouldn't it be 12 AM?

No obviously not. 12PM is still before 5PM. And anyway demos rarely get put up on Xbox LIVE at 12AM.

Very few liked 2008. I hated it. I loved 2009. I find that post very patronising to be honest. I cant stand Fifa 09/10. But I appreciate people love the game. And you wont find me calling them fanboys and pissing on their parade. It's insulting and out of order. Your generalising without valid substance.

I agree, Jimmy. There has been something of a patronising tone towards the PES faithful from those who normally reside on the 'other side' of Evo-web.

I even read one comment (from someone who should know better) that said the people on here that still play PES are mainly the older guys that yearn for the old days of simple pick-up-and-play football games, whereas the young kids are more sophisticated and prefer simulation, better ball physics and more control, hence why they play Fifa.

I had to laugh.:FAIL:

My ageing brain obviously can't cope with the intricacies of Fifa.

As I said earlier, i'll refrain for a night or so from posting, purely because i know its going to be full of people wanting to spoil the fun.

You need not be a rocket scientist to see the big improvements and I for one will be looking forward to the deep tactical element, scrambled goals and a big step up in online play.

I have registered my PS3 as per my gamer ID, so looking forward to pestering Jimmy on the patching side of things:D

The game will demand patience and a steep learning curve, play it like real football and watch it come alive, play it like space invaders and watch it become repetative and non descript.....the choice is yours but i know what I am going to do;)

Oh my lord, I would say I cant believe someone said that. But the bottom line is Jamez, I really would be suprised if they hadnt said that. It's typical of some peoples perceived idea of how football plays/feels.

Its the footballers game of choice, its a true simulation, with too many reasons for me to be bothered listing now.

I said to myself I wont never quote this but when speaking to Joe Cole in Vegas, on Fifa, he said "What ? its a game for kids". We discussed and agreed on everything the same about PES and its magic, he said loads of Pro's play it. They have had leagues in JT's house. Class. They just would prefer all the Premier League kits. Lol. I told him about the patches and he couldnt believe it. He also said his player on PES is far better than him, and better looking. Modesty.:LOL:

Those other fans will never be won over, for me they cant appreciate the concept, so its wasted on them anyway. But I'm genuinely happy if they enjoy Fifa, its very good at what it does. Brilliant in fact. It looks like real football, but I need to feel real football, appreciate everything that Konami do so very well, even with the needless flaws.
