Well, they will have to get used to it. ;) If the 360 degree rumor indeed is true then KONAMI have no other choice than to remove the D-pad control.

The disabled as I call them. This is 2009, the d-pad is so 90s man.

Some people's reactions make me laugh, it took me a bout a 3 games to adjust to the analogue stick...the way some go on as if they have thumbs that are incompatible with the stick or something.

Get with the programme and the times!

Exactly. I started using analogue in PES as soon as the analogue controllers arrived on the scene. I have difficulty using the d-pad now. I find it really uncomfortable.

I remember buying the Analogue Stick mod for my original gameboy. Changed my gaming experience. Especially when doing special moves in Mortal Kombat 2 (e.g. Quarter and Half circles + punch)

I got used to playing with both since many years. I think it won't be a matter for those who have been playing videogames for years now.

Then, some people may have their preferences; I used to play with D-pad on old PS2 PES but it was only because I had the feeling that it could provide more accurate control on the player.

But the aim of 360° is to give us a better control on the player, so finally, we get what we wanted :)).

Analog stick is a good way!It will be very funny situation because first time Xbox 360 users are in better position than Ps3 players:APPLAUD: People who play on Ps3 on D-pad will be cry....because they have a lot of problem with use anolog stick;)

Just to clear up, I'm not taking piss out of the disabled...I'm taking the piss out of people who say they can only use the d-pad. And it is an accurate discription if you're saying you physically can't use the analogue stick like the guy implied.

I understand using the keyboard keys, as it's easier to combine 2 keys to move diagonally... but doing that on a PS2/3 D-pad is painful.

any news on the weather effects in the game,will there be snow in this years game? it would be crazy to think konami havent added it in considering its been in the last 3 pes games on the ps2

When I played the game at the Konami Office you could play with both analogue and d-pad. It seems weird they would change that!?

I still use the d-pad purely because the analogue stick feels too loose, and I can't judge where I'm aiming with my shooting. I remember I missed so many chances on PES6 on 360 'cause my aim was completely off with the stick. Plus if you get sweaty, your thumbs tend to slip off the sticks.

i think it's obvious that we can play with both, but only with analog stick we can obtain 360°

What I would like to see is 360 control via the analogue stick and the D-pad used to assign 2 of the new tactical sliders too.

So for example you could assign Pressure to the up/down axis and Passing range to the left/right dpad axis and the affect the live without having to pause it.

Of course it would be optional so if you want to play with dpad you can (albeit in 8 direction only) and the the stick is assigned for tactics.

It seems a waste to me to have two ways of controlling the players when you could use one of those controls for tactics or maybe something else.

No, not at all. I just can't understand why anyone would want to pass by 360 degree control and all the potential it promises in order to stick with the D-pad.

I respect your opinion, but I can't understand it.

Not at all, I just find people who say they can't physically use the analogue stick...

1) Lazy - they nearly always say "it's too hard" rather than a reason that you could say is a preference (the sweaty fingers being the only one I've read here so far.

2)..and unwilling to evolve with technology. To me, it's the same as saying you prefer the NES controller to the SNES one as the latter has too many buttons.
