Next match is 119. Slovenia v Arsenal





This will be the last match in the cup for a while, as I have been playing catch up with the uploads and now I am up to date. The last 8 matches were actually played on 26th March! :SHOCK:

Hopefully I will be meeting up with my bro in the next couple of weeks to finish off Round 1.

The fixtures coming up are:

120. g. ENGLAND v a. ATALANTA

121. g. TURKEY v a. SWITZERLAND

122. a. REIMS v g. CELTA DE VIGO

123. g. ISRAEL v a. MONTPELLIER

Then on to Round 2 :)

Just checking the scores between me (g) and my bro (a).

a - 61 wins / 139 goals / 16 penalty shoot outs
g - 58 wins / 153 goals / 13 penalty shoot outs

The 3 penalty shoot out wins is the difference :D

I need to win those next 4 matches :SNACK:

Currently playing an International Konami Cup with England against all the top rated nations. Just had an epic 6-5 aggregate win over Germany on Top Player.

I'm coming from PES 5 and 15 minute matches but wondering if 10 minute matches are the way to go in PES 2008 (PS2), due to way more speed and shots. What's the concensus?
 
@reinelt97 when I play against my brother it’s 10mins but against the CPU it’s 15mins. But I play with my adjusted file so a lot slower, as I mentioned before i don’t really like the normal faster pace, in fact I probably would not even play it. ;)

I would try but just the fact that there has been so much of my time invested in this that if I try others it is only 1 or 2 matches.

I am still not a pro at this so i look at it the other way, having only 10mins makes it easier for me to hang on to a lead, and also gives me more time to get a an equaliser so 15mins adds to the tension of holding on for a win. I also still get 0-0s on 15mins.
 
Is there a way to delete licensed kits on PES 2008 PS3 version on PC, so I can edit my custom kits?

A good point, I didn't think of it like that. It's probably more that I don't have the patience to play any longer than default really 😄

FYI - I replayed this game (exhibition mode, also 5-star difficulty) on WE 2008, and I found it much easier. Just look at the stats :

Blue Samurais adventure ends with a PK session.
3-3 after the first 5 where I missed a ball match. Then it ended just before the GKs had to shoot. Tsuboi sent it on the post ...

During the game, their midfield outclassed mine.

On a side note, here're the ML duplicate players.
They appear in both, ML default and also ML young :

Baumann
El Moubarki
Ettori
Gutierrez
Vanden Berg

They are only duplicated in PES 2008 Europe. In WE 2008 & PES 2008 USA, they are not in ML young anymore.

And another fun fact : hidden teams can have licenced players. Ex. Algeria.

Hopefully Eto'o is on fire. 4 goals in 4 matches so far.
With 4 games played, I've 6 points (1 win 3 draws), 1 point below the leader of the group.
