Yeah, nice menu but I honestly can't believe how PES or FIFA can't come up with an immersive menu, dynamic, clear but creative. PES 2011-2013 menus used to have that.
 
The co-op looks good, just hope it will have some competitive modes (like Online Divisions or FIFAs Pro Clubs) and not only friendlies...

Wait what? I wanted this for ages! This is a great addition indeed!

Watching the clip again, one definite positive for me is that I haven't seen a single cringe moment from the GKs animations. They don't float like they used to.
 
- Keepers seem improved, they stretch more imo.
- In one clip player needed to make couple of more steps to control the ball. Maybe the ball has become a more free identity?

- The shooting and passes, the most important things, I have no idea.
- The shaking camera after the goals made me sick, hope its just for trailer :(

REALISTIC BALL PHYSICS
Further inclusion of real ball physics further enhances the reality including where it bounces, with skilled players being able to react smoothly to these situations accordingly.

PLAY WITH YOUR STYLE
You can make a one-off team with an automatically matched user, or create a clan with highly skilled friends and aim for the top of the ranks.

That sounds like there are 'team' rankings which would be brilliant.

Hopefully the can add some online competitions too

True, which is quite fine for me as I still enjoy playing 2017.
I quite liked the trailer, looks good but can´t judge from it.
Just waiting for the hardcore analyzing as every year :).

Also, every year I used to hope for a good passing level optimization. Never found a level that was similar to PES 2011 passing.
But now I don´t care anymore, as 2017 finally has forced me to play manual which is just great.
Never wanna go back no more.

Looks good...I´m curious....not hyped.
Just don´t get that Usain Bolt thing......
 
Already pretty excited for PES 2018 based just off those screenshots, haven't had a chance to watch the trailer yet but hearing that some of the tunnel animations / crowd movements all look really good which is good to hear! Still super early days and it'll be a long 3 months till it comes out but I'm looking forward to it.

I think PES 2017 is the most PES I've played since PES 5/6 - hell, I even bought it on PS4, Xbox and PC so I could try it across all versions.

It's only really ML I play, too. Same with every sports game I play. The news stories don't relate to actual events in the game - transfer rumours etc. aren't related to actual transfer bids, it just makes things up. You get news articles saying so-and-so is fired up and loves the club, yet his form arrow - which is still selected randomly (it's 2017 and morale in PES is still based on a random number generator) - is on the floor.

If the only addition is the one Gerd mentions above, and there are no tweaks to the worst bits, e.g. transfer fees (always pitiful for your players, always huge for AI players)... I'll be really disappointed.

Don't care about the graphics, just want the gameplay - but then, you need a decent game mode for the gameplay too, or your results have no meaning...

Can't tell anything about game's att/def level of calibration, because every goals you can see reproduce some great goals of this year season, as usual in PES trailer since Weedens did it.

But animations... Looks exactly the same as previous 2015-17 PES, not at all a "revamp".
Movements and transition aren't smooth. Walking and running with or without the ball remains the same tic-tac tic-tac thing (same short straight movements with in the same timing). I imagined something more "circular" with animations and dribbling but looks the same.
Btw i don't want Fifa's system in which you can't really make the link between what's you're doing with the controller and what's happen on the pitch.

Anyway it's not that i'm no good with previous PES animations and controls, but i expected a real change with the features annouced.

Edit: About Usain Bolt, if i remember nobody's complained with NBA2K17 Thierry Henry feature... I don't understand what's to argue or debate if he's got his place in the game or not

Had to go back and re-watch the PES 2017 trailer. Yes you read it right, 2017.



And, to my surprise, I actually think PES 2017 was better put together. Maybe it's just a matter of how they built the trailer and whatnot, but PES 2018 gives me the feeling of more robotic and stiff movement. In terms of graphics, of course PES 2018 looks better. But animations-wise I don't know...
 
don't fully trust the word 'revamp' or 'rework' from konami
remember they said ML is revamped in 2016 I guess
but still the mode is basic and lack of many options/features that were existed many years ago
thats not acceptable in 2017

I like it too.

Hopefully someone records the live gameplay and uploads to youtube. Im not sure I'll be able to watch it live.
 
Only a trailer and everyone is making judgments already :). If we're going to judge by a trailer for now I'd say, there are big improvements in players models and visuals to begin with (compared to last year). Hard to set expectation for the animation in the video till I play the game but looks better to me. Generally I don't know how everything looks the same as previous versions!!. I am personally one of those people who just like the game without too much analysis, so I am exited about 2018.
 
and I still remember they said there is a real touch feature in 2017 but I played the game until now and I just didn't notice the difference
also they said the ai will learn how you play and change playstyle,
its just a gimmick, I think they just refer to how ai use advanced instructions during the game LOL
I think those statements were just exaggerated
 
Fucking hell. The trailer scares me. I am ready to brace for another year of footie games where teams like Sunderland, Crystal Palace have 95% passing accuracy. Ugh!

Well, AI in PES 2017 was for me the most challenging and entertaining in the whole serie, at least for me with or without manual control.
I don't know if that's about playstyle or whatever, but the result was there.

Sorry vialli, please don't think I'm being sarcastic, but my main issue is that this is a football game and he is not a footballer.

And, as I mentioned before, it may open up more sports stars to jump in on the franchise. Also, it's making me wonder how they work out his stats. Obviously he is very fast but then looking at his shot in that trailer, is he as good as the top footballers or even average ones. I don't think so.

If I was into NBA I wouldn't have liked the idea of Henry being in it either. Just my opinion though ;)

I would like to see 'free sides select' make a return :)
 
Some of that trailer made excited the Coutinho goal was excellent loved that curl finish looked so sexy but the defending was awful what was defender doing it like it was on beginner level.

Not sure this is going to live up to Fifa but will need to see more it seems alot of improvement still needed the animation despite improvements look clunky as hell.

What do Konami do with a year!!!
