PES 2018 PC Discussion Thread

Edit: Go Juve! :)
Sad to see that PM BLACK-WHITE didn't make it in the end, Mandzukic's goal has been something of rare beauty.
It's kinda hilarious how the official Champions League game doesn't have the licences for the two teams playing the final.

Well, who cares. PC has mods and PS4 has the chance to easily import kits, crests and option files, so... It's only the Xbox One guys that were left behind this year (and the previous ones) but as far as I know it's not Konami's fault, so... Blame it on Nadella!

because last ports didn't only lack the grahpics of the console couterparts
And what else? I've played PES 2017 both on PC (I own it) and on Xbox One (a friend of mine owns it plus I own the trial version myself), and apart from the graphics (the bloody goalpost shadows are missing on PC, and after several years of missing shadows I now wonder whether the PC version has ever gone through a serious QA process honestly) I can't see differences in terms of gameplay. Care to elaborate?

Play it online on your friend's Xbox and you'll see the differences.

I have it on both PC and Xbox One.

The official PlayStation Twitter account kept posting PES GIFs throughout the final, with both teams wearing fake kits. It was embarrassing, IMO.

(Sounds harsh, but they'd have been better off not including any game footage - you don't see the animations or anything, you just see how fake it all looks. Who is this benefiting?)

They never learn. Don't think they ever will.

This is a Sony ad.
Used with Konami's permission.
Konami might even have provided them.

Either way, show some goals from a gameplay angle (so you can't see the kits), or show extreme close-ups (so you can't see the kits). Otherwise, it looks like some weird discount supermarket advert where they're not allowed to say the name of the team or the competition.

"Go football!"

Used with Konami's permission.

Still a Sony ad, If KONAMI never learns, it was a mistake by Sony too tweeting those clips.

Besides, i see nothing embarassing. The shirts are not the same, but the players are. I think that was their intent.

BTW, don't know how to take this but someone ask Adam on Twitter if there was any chance they would release more than 1 demo like they did for PES 2013, and he said they will talk about that at E3.

Will we get Real Madrid licensed even though EA got CR on their FIFA cover? :/ I'm not too confident.

LOL EA is still bleeding themselves to death for losing Camp Nou to Konami last year.

What do you think konami means when talking about reworked running? I feel its going to be the big new thing in the gameplay with shielding. Could also be nothing, but they got me interested on this one.

God damn it, its going to be really hard for konami to match my expectations. Hope i wont be TOO disappointed. Will we see gameplay on the 12th?

They didnt lose Camp nou,if i am not wrong EA have also licence for full Primera(Liga BBVA spain) and bundesliga like they have for premier league and they give Konami 2 team each year,in PL arsenal+liverpool in Spain Barca+Atletico in germany only Borrusia Dortmund for PES 17

Adam Bhatti says PES 2018 is gonna be completely a new game to master.

I highly doubt it, but i hope this doesn't mean a new game engine. They've spent the last 3 years building on a solid foundation & with '17 they are closer to perfection then they have ever been.

I don't think i can take the anguish of another PES 14 scenario where they throw out a new engine but it doesn't work properly yet and we're stuck with it for a year just because they're in a transitional period again.

Possibly an pressure sensitive analogue to move your player around ? just like in FIFA ? or maybe there will be no sprint button anymore, everything is done via analogue stick.. we'll find out.

ever since they introduced microtransactions the game went to the shitter.
now the game is pay2win. You find yourself paired with coin spenders that are favoured by the momentum and end up in a puppet show that konami uses to fill their pockets.

No it's still the same engine. It's just new animations like PES 2014 but as he said it's gonna be incredibly responsive.

He always says that.
all aboard the hype train... and when the game is out keepers be dumb as shite and game has fur sure a major gameplay bug they refuse to fix.
in pes2017 it was the overpowered and too accurate headers (everybody be playing with Traore lol). when fans reported that he started screaming "abuse and disrespect" and this is my personal account and bla, bla.
yesterday I laughed my ass off when somebody has found an old tweet of his (before he worked for konami) where he presents his FIFA collection. He found it extremly abusive and offensive and accused the guy of having mental problems to post that. oh man...

The guy tried to show that Bhatti really doesn't care about Pes, with a malicious intent. But that's absolutely not true. He cares about Pes. He was the one to create wenb forum long time ago,in 2008, many years before he was working in KONAMI.

Not only that but if you refuse to see PES growth for the past 4 years then you are either dumb or blind.
I don't know what Adam has done in the past or why is there so much grudge against him (maybe he deserves it, I don't know) but what I do know is that the steps they've been taking from PES 2014 to 2017, even if short ones, have been all in the right path. I haven't yet seen them fix one thing only to break another.

PES 2014 Awful responsiveness and low individuality -> PES 2015 Fixed
PES 2015 Awful keepers -> PES 2016 Fixed -> PES 2017 Completely Fixed
PES 2016 Aweful refs and bad shooting -> PES 2017 Fixed.
(These are just the first ones that came to my mind, I'm sure there must be others)

As I said... they take baby steps. But in the right path.

Personally I think PES 2014 and PES 2015 had more individuality than PES 2017. There are no catchup bugs in PES 2015.

There's not catch-up bug because there's no individual speed at all!
If I recall, getting past opponents using sprint/speed-burst or simply by dribbling, was close to impossible. Or, actually... impossible. So there's was no need for the catch-up, you could never out-run or take on rivals without passing the ball.

At least, that was my experience- And the main reason (along with the no-responsiveness of the game)- for me to hate PES 2014.
