Absolutely.

On a more positive note though, the game is getting better and better the more I play it.

It really is like the ps2 days where you would see more little touches the more you played it. I found previous versions couldn't really capture that.

Player individuality is also as pronounced as it's ever been. It's early days obviously as I've only been playing it since the 13th but so far this is the best PES game out of all the ps3 and ps4 versions.

I enjoyed 2016 but 2017 really is ahead, the only "issue" is at first glance it might not be apparently obvious to people casually looking, but stick with it and the game opens up.

Why is it a disgrace? People work on it, waste time (that they could spend on doing something else) and they put a price on their work. They are entitled to do whatever they want with their own work. Who are you to judge them? Did you ever spent days in a row editing stuff?

And besides that, no one is forcing you to pay and get that OF. You already said that there are free options already. Go ahead and get them and stop criticising because you're not in a position to.

I remember on NBA 2k13-14,they acctually had rosters within the game,created by fans,that you could download,and also create and upload.
That would be sweet,rosters/kits/emblems etc.
And can't beat their built in TV player,where you can watch highlights both from that league and the virtual league,plus weekly competitions for virtual currency
That's how Konami should go,user and fan friendly

Anyway I feel their business model isn't going to be sustained long term simply due to the amount of alternative FREE option files there are. I'm not sure if I can link to other forums, but a quick google search will take you to one forum in particular where there are already a huge number of option files ready to download for FREE.

I understand some people are purchasing USB sticks because of the convenience and I can understand a small charge for that, but charging simply for the files? FUCK OFF

My understanding was that the option file (pesuniverse) would be free. The charge came for early access via email or delivery via usb stick? Unless I've got the wrong end of the stick?

It's just not in good spirit to charge. Donations is more appropriate in my opinion.

Do you not remember how people were perceived in the ps2 days when they were selling option files on ebay?

It is a lot of hard work, and if they want to charge for it, then that is their prerogative. They're not forcing people to buy it.

However that aside, by all accounts the option file they've released is missing a few things, my own personal opinion is if you're going to charge for it then it should be of a higher standard than free option files no?

I understood it as though the free version was going to be "unorganised". I'm not sure what the implications of that are, as you literally batch import all the team data in one go anyway, and then manually change the league and cup logos etc.

Hmmm, what part of the UK was the pub in ?

The reason I ask, my mates Dad was a landlord of a pub back in Summer/WC 2006 and these lads/regulars in his pub hired out the function suite every year to have a PES tournament for money (£5 entry as I recall) my mate had never mentioned it before but said I should enter that year - so me, him and some guys and girls from our work made a full day of it and rocked up at the pub ready to drink, watch the real world cup and have a laugh at me entering this PES tournament on PES 5 ...

Anyway long story short, I somehow ended up winning it and had to go collect my winnings in the form of sweaty notes and coins that was spread all over a long table of about 30 lads and gangsters who were now well oiled, giving me the evil eye and not too happy that an 'outsider' had entered for the first time and won all the money.

A few of them were cool and congratulating me but the majority were sending me 'daggers' as I am over at their table trying to scoop all the coins and notes off the table, I just kept my head high and said "Cheers lads" haha, before making a hasty exit back to my table and telling my pals that my winnings were to be used on drinks for us all for the rest of the night.

Good times.

I remember everybody had their own beliefs and superstitions and OCD methods about what did and didn't make a Spectrum game load first time.
 
A question for those who have applied the "Live Update" for playing offline, does the players are totally removed or on Free agent?

The november/october DLC will erase every players normally, but the Live Update for offline is a different system normally, not like rewriting the entire database.

I don't have the game yet, and i've make a (very) long list of players to base copy in case of thread is on Pesgaming (name v82)
I've just finished to take note for AFC, Argentina and Chili league.
I think i'm gonna create some asian/american teams to share in the future.

Hopeful you haven't got the wrong end of the stick - it won't fit in the usb port if you have... :)

On a more serious note, does anybody know the answer to these 2 questions?

How and where do you edit the youth players for ML?
Is it possible to adjust the balance between the budgets in ML? ie reduce the transfer budget but increase the wage budget? I have a huge transfer budget but on £11,000 wage budget left so can't sign anybody without selling someone else first.

still early, but this unorganised file (ie the free one) is yet to appear on their site yet they are sending out the ones that have been paid for

Now i don't know much details about that OF, i'm just stating that is their work and they are entitled to do with it as they wish. And since no one is forcing you to buy it from them, you better wait for reviews and then decide to get a free one or theirs.

+ they can update it right? And add the things they're missing and it's not gonna charge you twice for it.. I HOPE/THINK.

Ha! Don't think it's the same one, this year's was their 10th one and the first few were at someone's uni flat. Also this one's fancy dress. Which sounds a lot like yours, except the theme is the nation you're representing. Not Snatch.

I agree that they can do what they want with their own work.

I also appreciate how much effort people put into it, it's a lot of work that I am far too lazy or impatient to even try doing lol.

Yes they can update (and have stated they are going to), and obviously will be doing that at no extra charge.

Cheers, I properly AAAAAH'ed when that flew in, especially as I was holding L2 to aim, and hadn't seen that specific animation before, AND it was D'Alessandro. Think it's 0-7-10? I like to be relatively top-down so I can see the spaces, but I also love the camera angling as you go from box to box.

I properly love the L1+R1 dummy to run onto the ball. I use it a lot to try and beat the press, and when it works, it looks bloody spot on.
 
For those with the game: is there an option to change the rgb scale in game?

I remember there was one in previous pes games and it was super useful to reduce the cartoonish look of the pitch
 
For the net freaks - Does changing the netting make the ball more realistic when it hits the net, and doesn't fly out at a strange angle?

It's gone. I remember setting these values up a couple of years ago.
This is one of the things Konami deleted for no reason. Maybe is is a reason and I just don't know about it. :)
