Going back to that review, this comment made me LOL:
"Score a screamer from outside the box and see how good it feels"
It would feel great if I wasn't scoring that same screamer at least once in every match I play.
I just want to score scruffy tap ins and boring headers now and again but it doesn't seem like I can. Unless that's something to do with the way I play?
No offense, but I don't think I've seen you post a positive comment about 2017 (which is the best PES in eons) since you've signed up. I've scored scrappy goals, headers, etc. Very rudimentary stuff. Same applies to the CPU. On manual shooting I'm certainly not scoring screamers every match. They happen from time to time, but it's still a fairly rare occurrence for me. I've scored a few long range worldies in the demo, but with the likes of Pogba and Suarez.
I remember the CPU played a short corner, played it to the edge of the box and had a shot. It got blocked, went back to the CPU who then shot a low driven shot that was going right towards my keeper, and it would have been a relatively easy save. Instead, my defender stuck a leg out, and it deflected off his foot in
just the right manner to deftly chip my keeper. He remained crouched as he helplessly watched the ball float over his head. I thought it was beautiful.
Goals like this are fantastic in the sense that they are spawned by an error on my part (again, this is the benefit of playing on manual) and developed into quite an interesting goal. Fist pump moment. My God awful cross was deflected, fell to Messi who attempted to Sombrero the defender, but it inadvertently became an amazing assist to Suarez.
I know backheels aren't that rare in recent years, but I thought it was a cheeky goal by the CPU. Again, it all came from a fortuitous deflection.
This is my favorite goal from the demo, and it's up there as one of my favorites of all time. Mainly because I decided to try to back heel it to myself and it actually came off. I try this a lot in FIFA/PES, but it usually doesn't come off. Again, another benefit of manual passing.
My point is, I've witnessed a lot of interesting, and enjoyable goals from myself and the CPU that go beyond the typical, "I just scored from 35 yards out on assisted shooting!" Most variety in goal scoring I've seen since PES 2013. Though, when you do manage to score one on manual it's a hell of a feeling.
