PES 2017 - PC Version Discussion Thread

I have a problem: I want to access Tauwic's `T99 V20 datapack1.cpk`, but CRI Packed File Manager keeps crashing whenever I try to open this CPK. However, it opens the original Konami CPK's without any issues.

I’m doing this because changes made in the PES 2018 Editor (by ejogc327) aren't taking any effect in the game. I suspect that changes only are registered in-game, if they are applied via "Load DT File" in the PES 2018 Editor. Tauwic's mod is great, but he disabled the standard Konami uppercase formatting and used lowercase letters for club names, player names, and competition names, and his datapack1.cpk is most likely the source.

The PES 2018 Editor has a global function that allows you to batch-convert text to uppercase, but the game ignores any changes made in the PES 2018 Editor via the EDIT file.

Hi guys, I recently started editing PES 2017 and I have a question. I added some stadiums using Sider, and I see that they have to be assigned to a specific team. Is there a way to keep them unassigned so they can be chosen freely? For instance, I’d like to play a match with Juventus playing as the home team at Roma's stadium, then with Sassuolo, and so on.

Wow this is revolutionary... too bad it's professional patch. I'll stick with my pesgalaxy 16/17 season, thanks 👍
yeah professional's patch is kinda cool. unfortunately tho its paid. what do you think of pte patch 5.3 for pes 2017? i think virtuared v3 is the best for 16/17 and virtuared v6 is good for 17/18 or smokepatch 9.8.

Why do you think VirtuaRED is the best for 16/17 and 17/18? Any specific features you found in this patch that aren't in other patches? Also what do you think of smokepatch 9.5 for 16/17?

i tried smokepatch 9.5 and its good but it does have certain bugs which do get patched later on but the problem is, those updates add new kits and change the database to fit the next season (17/18). i thought virtuared was best for both due to the quality of faces and the turf as well. and it has tattoos. the only downside is no scoreboards through sider but thats about it. pesgalaxy v3.00 is also good too tbh. i tried one other patch called pestuning and while its alright it felt like a league or two were missing compared to pesgalaxy and virtuared.

Can you detail those bugs?

Just like you my biggest gripe with the VirtuaRED patches are the lack of scoreboards. And since it's such an old season for a game like PES 2017 it's almost impossible to find scoreboards.

Thinking of which league to replace the PAS League and PLA league.. that's all

I have discovered the hidden AFC champions League database. I will update the database separately.

***I need help on how to boost the player stats. eFootball stats is low in PES. Anybody know how I can convert the player stats from eFootball to PES?

Let me know which league you want me to use to replace PAS and PLA league.

What do you mean by efootball stats are low in PES?

I converted players, teams and assignments from efootball directly into PES 2017. I noticed that the player ratings are low in PES 2017.
Haaland in eFootball is 99 but when I converted the rating exactly from eFootball to PES 2017, Haaland is just 78

I am thinking of how to boost all the player ratings to PES standard.

I will share spoiled soon to understand

Are you sure it's properly converted? I think T99 patch also uses the efootball database, and the ratings are normal in that.

T99 converts from FL database for PES 2021. Ora quite easy because FL also includes player faces and skin color.

I don't have FL database, that's why it is harder to boost the stats to PES standard. I will find a way for sure. This is my project. The ratings shouldn't be a problem.

I find a tool to boost them all

FL I mean is Football Life for PES 2021

I thought the FL database was based on eFootball's database. And honestly it seems off that Haaland would have a 78 overall. Can you share his stats as converted in your database?

This is the eFootball stats of Haaland. I copied the stats without adjusting or changing any value. To my surprise, the overall rating in PES 2017 is just 78.

I will look for a way to boost all player stats by 5. Hopefully it will be better

In the efootball game, all players have a certain amount of levels that corresponds with the XP they have, and this XP is used to train their attributes in a specific way.

For example I've attached an image of how Haaland looks once his attributes have been trained in the normal manner, according to eFootball's default training program for Haaland.

I think it would be a big hassle to do this for every player so maybe eFootball's database is not ideal.

Maybe you can look at PSD, it is the only non-Konami player database I know of. I disagree with their stats for most players but there's no denying the amount of effort that has gone into them.

I have found PES stats copy application. I will have to copy all the players per team and then manually add all the players ID to boost player ratings.

It will be ready this weekend.

I will share spoiler by Saturday
