PES 2016 News & Discussion Thread

hahahaha

I think we should calculate and find a ratio for amount of Adam's honesty ... and multiply that to whatever he said

I guess 0.3 is suitable at start :D

Yes, maybe :D
For one or another reason I find his last tweet not convincing.
The part about "very special" just sounds just like another forced way to hype the game.

Hype the game is his job, so it's perfectly natural he expresses this way.

I think this next game will be the first time in yonks that I actually embrace BAL mode. I hope it's good. This urge is down to playing a lot of Rocket League. Boglining has never been so much fun.

nice one, first i thought they'll use for every PES it's own soundtrack in the video. would've been cool

is that an interactive start screen? would be cool like in the end of the trailer

@PES_Russia: [NEW] #PES2016: Is gameplay perfect? All-in-One

@Adam_Bhatti: No idea why you would ask that, I have told you repeatedly not to send anything until you have played. You ignore me. Goodbye.

@PES_Russia: You claim that it is impossible to judge about the game without playing it. Although you judge about our article perhaps without even reading it completely. The POSSIBLE shortcomings of the game are identified in the article. In addition many of them supported by examples on the video and on the screenshots. We have provided you with facts, but we receive only words from you. Why then do you accept all the positive reviews from the fans who just watched the video. They didn't "play the game" either. Is it that hard to take note of some of the listed actual problems (at the discretion of developers)? Here are the statements from the article..Goodbye.

@Adam_Bhatti: That's a very rude, and single minded response. It upsets me how you try to twist things against the people making the game. We try to work with you, but you refuse to listen to us. Take care, and thanks for your passion.

So, they should pass this article to Pes team based on POSSIBLE shortcomings of the game...

That's not how you do feedback.

I've been perhaps the one who has defended Adam Bhatti most here, but now i don't agree.
Of course he is right when he says that PES Russia can't judge PES2016 because they haven't played it. But he should give thel another answer.

Something along the line of: "thanks foor your feedback, i will give it to the development team. Anfd by the way some of the things you mentioned are already ironed out the way you suggested (give examples). Concerning, others, we will see if we can do that in patches or in PES2017".

That would be the right answer from a PR point of view...but the past has proven that PR isn't Adam's stringest point.

This said, i really think we owe an awfull lot to him and i remember him saying that in the past he has had some very rude contacts with the fans. And i do believe that, one only has to look in this thread alone to see how unreasonable some people treat him.

I think Konami shouldn't see it inimically and shouldn't see it with pessimism

this article is for helping them, not blaming them.

I think pes 2016 will be very good, but there is no harm to check POSSIBLE shortcomings ... this can help them for pes 2017

Gerd, I always agree with you, but trust me (and this is coming from someone who now works in marketing), that is not the right answer if he wants to keep his job.

If he started telling people to look forward to next year already, there'd be uproar about this year's game being pointless seeing as they'd be conceding it's not as good as it should be (when there isn't even a DEMO of the game yet, let alone the RETAIL version, let alone a PATCH)...

I can understand both sides, honestly. If I was the compiler of the list, I'd wait until the game was released before forwarding that list, because then you've got the possibility of changes being implemented into a patch.

But if we're honest, a lot of those complaints are long-standing (and some subjective), so they're not going to react to them, as much as it would be great if they did.

The only way developers respond is if thousands tweet the same thing. Create a hashtag for every single issue, get 1,000 tweets using the same hashtag, and you might get it fixed.

Otherwise...

(Put it like this, when I was young and ridiculous - as opposed to 30 and ridiculous - I wrote Konami an email and a letter every single year for 6-7 years with a list of issues in the game, and coordinated lists of issues on forums like these, and it lead to nothing, and this is the latest list that will lead to nothing, as much truth as it may contain.)

Actually this is a very good idea!

Sad, but true.

Adam is famous on twitter for bad customer responses - last year he just wouldn't accept the no AI fouls but then wouldn't back it up with screenshots of match stats showing the amount of fouls he was seeing

On the flip side he is right here just has a poor way of getting his point across. The videos this article is based will be months old come release, plus they haven't even played it so how on earth they can form an opinion is beyond me

TBF to him hes always been cool with me and answered questions in PMs

to be honest, Adam is completely right here...in his a bit of childish way but he is right

Why you people give them a talk every single day?
Why you people don´t complain to the real KONAMI Office?
If they don´t have any website or account to speak to them, less we can send a letter in paper.

A Fan from Naughty Dog send a letter to the devs. of The Last of Us talking about is life, and they answer right away. A complete gift from the original Videogame and a book. That is some respect to the consumers. :BYE:

Had he actually played the game or just watched some videos of it?

Come on, no need to be dramatic... Start a hashtag on Twitter when the game is out. The more people you can get to tweet with the same hashtag, if it's about a couple of issues as opposed to an essay about how the devs are essentially getting everything wrong (which they have a right to feel insulted by), then you might have some success.

Don't give up, but adapt.

this is totally right :APPLAUD:

I know the Russians made it for help, but a long text about problems without mentioning any good aspect, will make bad feel for developer.

focusing on main problem in the way that Chris said must be more effective.

OOPS, Chris...if you say so.
You must be right, i certainly don't work in marketing.

But he should have answered something different (and once again, i actually am some sort of Adam Bhatti fan, if am a fan at all excpet from Tom Waits and Miles Davis).

The other games franchise i really love is EA's SSX. There is a good site/forum dedicated to the games (Merqury City) and the producer of the games (Tod Batty, what a coïncidence look at his name) is fantastic with the community. He invites members to test the games, member can design clothes and snowboards for the game and he genuinely listens to their concerns...of course i can imagine that SSX commjunity is much smaller than the PES community, but Konami could learn a thing or two from Todd Batty and his team (sadly i think there will be no new SSX game, the last one was absolutely fantastic, my favourite last gen game).

Yeah Adam doesn't respond well to criticism. No matter how unfounded it may seem to him but he needs to show a lot more class than he does when he disagrees, moreso in his capacity as a representative for the brand

This is a PES chat year so let's leave him be our start a thread about it.

I feel the PES Russia guys makemake verg good points but nothing is really valid if they haven't played it and, in hindsight, they could have done a better job of putting their points across.

Loved SSX as well!!!
There is a forum? Gotta look for it.
I hope they spammed the shit outta the devs when the last SSX on PS3 didn´t have no split screen!!
I hope they´ll release SSX on android at least....the best snowboard game so far!

About the russian article:
I appreciate the effort and I´m gonna read the complete article when I find the time (just flew over it a bit).
I´m not one of those Adam bashers even I think he should have replied differently.

But you know, he got a very heavy point on which he gonna stand intensely, which is: you haven´t played the game, although you seem to mention stuff which is a problem for years.

But that´s the one reason I believe that they won´t look into it further.

This too.

he let Neymar win probably

cheap goals tho must be on amateur. i dont take this as a gameplay video, will see about that at gamescom with pro players

People asking why we scanned Neymar's body...a sneak peak into the crazy bright future of the series

Konami will have the upperhand with player physics in the future too
